Chapter 12- The Truth

I woke up feeling a mayor head-ache. I hate hangovers. My eyes opened only to be closed as I hissed in pain at the daylight. Soon, I noticed something strange... I'm tied up...

My eyes opened ignoring the potests and I looked around.

"You're finally awake," I heard someone say, making me turn, surprised it was the Hokage.

"W-Were am I?" I asked as I looked around. I was in a chair, both hands tied with chakra strings. "What's this?"

"You don't remember," the Hokage said sighing. "Yesterday you told Kakashi about your mission. He came to me. You're only here because he asked we give you a chance to be honest intead of torturing you right away."

My eyes widened. I'm an idiot! I hung my head tiredly as I realized it was too late.

"I guess I owe it to him," I muttered as I looked up. "What do you need to know?"

Suddenly, a guy came in. He had a cold expression in his face, and had huge scars. I know who he is... Ibiki Morino.

"Ah, Ibiki," the Hokage said as Ibiki noded in response. "It appeasr we won't need to use your techniques... she seems te be willing to cooperate."

Ibiki turned to me suspiciously, as I stared at him unfazed.

"We'll see," Ibiki finally said as he crossed his arms in a threatening manner. Puh-lease. Like I've never been tortured before anyways.

"What do you need to know?" I repeated tiredly.

"Everything," Ibiki stated simply.

"Very well," I said as I thought. "It might be easier if I just showed you."

"What are you talking about?" Ibiki said with narrowed eyes.

"I need the chakra ropes to be removed," I stated honestly.

"What?!" Ibiki said angrily. "Do you think we're stupid?"

Kakashi entered the room.

"Do it," he said staring directly into my eyes. "I'll stop her if she tries anything."

I looked at the floor sadly. "I won't. I owe you this much."

The Hokage agreed with Kakashi and Ibiki came closer.

"Ibiki," I said softly, for only him to hear. "When I've told you everything... please kill me."

Ibiki's eyes widened, soon going back to a glare. "What are you saying?"

"It's the price I should pay for my crimes," I said looking directly into his eyes.

The chakra ropes were removed and Ibiki said nothing.

"You're the only ones that need to know?" I asked as I stared at the Hokage, and he nodded.

"Very well," I closed my eyes and turned in my Kekkei Genkai, only- to the second stage. Doing a single handsign I whispered. "Insight."

Suddenly, the world around us changed, and we were in a completely blank room.

"What is this?!" Ibiki said looking around tensely.

"This is my mind," I said opening my eyes. "I need you to tell me which moments of my life you intend to see."

"Why don't we start from the begining?" the Hokage said, and I nonded. "Show us your genin days, when you left for Akatsuki, and through when assigned the mission."

The scene changed and we found ourselves in my old clan's compound. Kids were running around the streets, and if they were to touch us, they's just go through us... We're visiting my memories.

Suddenly, a little me appeared walking alone, opening a door and enering the house. I followed through the wall and the others followed me.

"Otosan!"  little me yelled as she spoted my father already eating his food. "Otosan look! I got my ninja headband!"

"What place were you?" he asked, not looking at me.

"I was second place in the whole class!" little me exclaimed prodly.

Father scoffed. "Of course," he said in a cold voice. "Why can't you ever be the first?"

"Well, Aidou-kun is pretty strong!" little me said smiling. "But one day I'll be as strong as cousin! I swear!"

"You'll never reach that level," father scoffed finally looking at me. "You've always been a weak girl."

Little me looked at the floor dejected, but soon determination entered her eyes as she exclaimed, "I'll make you proud, I swear!"

Father didn't aknowledge it as he stood up from the table and left, leaving little me looking at his now empty spot.

The scene changed and I entered the house once again, tis time about fourteen. It seemed to be dark outside and I appeared to be trying to not make any sound.

"Why are you home so late?" Mother said as she and father were waiting in the living room.

"I stayed trianing... lost track of time," young me said sheepisly.

"What are you training for," father said annoyingly. "You're not a ninja anymore."

"Now that you mention it," young me sarted hopefully. "I was hoping you'd change your mind. I've been training the Kekkei Genkai and I know that I can't use it like the rest of the family yet, but I'm getting to it! I can now turn to atleast a scary-looking -"

"Don't ever use the Kekkei Genkai again!" father shouted making young me back off. "You can't do it! Figures you and Aidou were the only ones from your generation to get it, and yours doesn't even work correctly!"

"But-"

"Nothing," he said in a cold voice. "There's no buts. You're to never be a ninja ever again."

The scene changed again, this time we were on some training grounds, and young me was sprawled on the floor, lazily waving a kunai around her finger-

"What's a young child doing by themselves in a training ground?" someone said, making young me stan up in a fighting stance. A guy around my age with a black cloak with red clouds stood there. He had black hair and deep red ayes with coma-like thinks in them.

"Who are you and why are you in my clan's compound!" Young me said fiercely.

"I'm just visiting an old friend," the guy said. "But even if I was a threat... What could you do? You're not a ninja... I don't see your headband."

"I'm not a ninja anymore," young me said flashing my Kekkei Genkai. "But that does not mean I can't fight."

"Interesting," he said. "And why are you no more a ninja if you posses suck power?"

"It's not like the others," young me said sadly. "Father didn't want the clan to know how my eyes work differently."

"Differently?" he asked. "How so?"

"My eyes... For the moment I'm not able to show what people fear," I said sadly. "I only change to what people desire. Instead of making people fear me, my eyes make people attracted to me... To a level they even forget what's going on, they can't get over the fact that they need whatever it is I turn myself too."

"That seems like a great power," the guy said, making me turn up in surprise.

"Y-You think so?"

"I do," he came closer and took a strand of my hair. "Your father doesn't value what he posseses. If you were with me, everyone would be astounded by your power."

"R-Really?" I said as I blushed looking at him.

"I'm leaving tomorrow," the guy said as he let my hair go. "You can come with me if you wish... Or you can stay here. It is your choise."

Young me stood there doumbfounded as he disappeared suddenly.

"Kaori-chan!" A boy that seemed to be my age exclaime, making young me jump in surprise.

"Aidou-kun!" young me smiled as she spoted my cousin.

"What are you doing here, Kaori," he aske as he reached my side. "I thought you quit being a ninja..."

"I did," young me said sighting. "But sometimes I miss it."

"Then come back! I'm sure your father would let ou if you-" Aidou started to say smiling.

"I can't," I said sadly. "Aidou-kun... Do you think I could leave the village?"

"You'd be a rouge!" he said shocked. "I don't think they'd let you leave, Kaori-chan!"

"You're right," young me said sheepishly. "It was stupid to ask."

The scene changed, I was in an Akatsuki cloak in the forest.

"I went with him," I explained as the Hokage, Kakashi, and Ibiki looked around. "This was just me visiting someone outside the Akatsuki."

"Zabuza!" young me said as she jumped into the arms of a guy who grunted annoyed.

"Don't be all giddy," he muttered, but young me smiled nontheless.

"Well, I am seeing you after a few weeks of not being able to se you!" young me exclaimed. "You should be happy too, baka! We are dating after all!"

Zabuza smiled a little but quickly covered it up and crossed his arms. "I am happy, but I'm not being childish."

Young me smiled at Zabusa's denial.

Once again the scene shifted, now appearing in the Akatsuki hideout.

"Kaori," Itachi said, making young me stop drawing and look up to him.

"Itachi-sama!" young me said surprised, "You're back from your mission early."

"I am... And I bring news," he said, not showing emotions. "Your clan has been wiped out."

"W-What?" young me said shocked.

"There were no survivors," he said simply.

"I see," young me said as she stared at my hands.

"Aren't you upset?"

"I am... for the innocent people... But..." young me said as she looked up to him. "They don't feel like family... I never reallt felt at home there. This is my family."

A small smile found it's way to Itachi's face, making young me smile too. "Ne Itachi! I'd never seen you smile before!"

He simply turned around, but young me stopped him.

"Who was it?" young me asked curiously.

"Zabuza Momochi," Itachi said as he continued walking away.

Now young me had just arrived the place were she'd seen Zabuza before.

"He's gone," she realized as tears left her eyes. "He didn't even said goodbye..."

I changed the scene before it got to sappy, and we were back at the hideout.

Fifteen year old me walked and knocked on a door.

"Come in."

"Itachi-kun!" young me said as she enteed his room. "I'm back!"

"I see," Itachi muttered as he turned to me with a small smile. "Welcome back, Kaori-chan."

Young me smiled widely and jumped into his arms.

I stopped the scene and changed it.

"What was that?!" Ibiki exclaimed confused.

"Itachi and I were dating, I merely spared you one of many makeout sessions," I said simply.

We were in the same room, only this time young me was crying.

"We're through," I said angrily at Itachi. "You only cared for what my Kekei Genkai showed! You've never loved me!"

"Wasn't that obvious..." Itachi said making young me's eyes widen. "Kaori-chan?"

"I hate you," I said as my eyes turned into a hard glare. "You got what you wanted huh!"

Finally, I changed the scene to this year, when I was in Hidan's room.

"Hey Kaori, what do you say we have some fun tonight, bitch?" Hidan said wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

"As you like, " the memory me said with an emotionless face. "You do know I will just make-out with you... I don't get why you still try to get farhter if you know it never works"

"It's always worth a shot damn it!" He said grinning pervertedly.

"I'm sure it is." memory me rolled her eyes.

"You know what?" He said after a second. "I changed my mind, I'm bored, let's get at it, bitch."

He came over and put memory me over his shoulder. Memory me sighed, not trying to escape.

"How does he get to kiss her that easily, un?" Deidara asked.

"You just think to much Dei-kun," Memory me said indifferently.

"That's not true, un!" he said blushing.

"Bye-bye!" Memory me said, with a small glare towards an also glaring Itachi.

Hidan set memory me on bed and without really losing a minute he started kissing her neck. Memory me merely waited there. I trully looked that emotionless?

"This is no fun... cooperate!" Hidan moaned as he kissed my forehead, memry me rolled her eyes but smirked. I looked so damn broken. Even that smirk looks wrong...

"As you say," memoryme said amused as he stiffened with pleasure. She kissed his neck now. He moaned loudly as he rested his head in her shoulder.

"You're really distracting," He said to memory me's neck.

"I know," she said lifting his head and kissing him full on the lips.

I skipped a little and forwarded to when Pain arrives, feeling Kakashi's stare. They needed to see me emotionless. He needs to see me like that.

Hidan ended up in his boxers while memory me ended up without her shirt. She still had her pants and bra.

"Kaori, are you here?" Someone said opening the room.

"Leader-sama," Memory me said bowing respectfully. That looks kind of sick...

He looked amused at Hidan, who was happily smiling from bedisde memory me.

"I have a mission for you."

He explained the serious task. Akatsuki wants the copycat gone, and they thought I was perfect for the job. He was well known for being an all-time pervert, with his Icha Icha book. I had to take advantage of the rumor that I was being held captive by someonoe somewhere. I needed to be a weak, scared little girl with trust problems. One man was to gain my trust: Kakashi Hatake, the copy-cat ninja. I should show I had basic ninja abilities, and do all in my power to stay close to Kakashi. Then, I was to gain the man's trust and kill him.

Then memory me asked why she couldn't simply use my kekei-genkai Leader-sama explained how Kakashi was a cunning ninja, and also had the Sharingan and would detect it.

"This is all I think you needed to see," I said as we were once again in a white room. "Anything else?"

"You said you almost killed me," Kakashi said. "I want to see when."

I closed my eyes and noded reluctantly, the scene changing once again. You could clearly see me take out the kunai, with shaking hands, when Kakashi hed held me close. My eyes had widened and I had put the kunai away, falling into sleep on his arms.

I let us all out of my mind and fell to my knees tiredly, gasping for air.

"We need to discuss this," the Hokage said as he stared at me with an unreadable expression.

I turned to Ibiki, pleading for him to end it, but he wouldn't even look my way. Kakashi, the Hokage and Ibiki left the room. As soon as the door closed, my eyes teared up. Reliving all those memories affected me more than they should. I let my head rest on the chair as tears silently left my eyes, awaiting for my fate.
