Chapter 2 - meeting the Cullens

I decided it was time to go look for the Vampires.

"Now... where could they be?" I asked myself as I dropped on my bed.

An image appeared on my head again and I saw them arriving to a place called 'Forks high school."

"Looks like I'll have to go to school!" I said as I smiled. Going to school wasn't bad for me, since I was the most popular girl in my last school. I went to my bags and looked for something nice to wear. I decided  a nice pink sweatshirt with a bow in it with some black skinny jeans and some highheeled boots... I think. I then went to a mirror. Everything I though about me changed as soon as I thought it. However I notice I couldn't magicaly make my eyes blue, I could only have them green or red. Weird, maybe I can just choose from my human appareance and Vampire appeareance. So now I had my pale skin,how ever I kept human smell so meaning i had my heart beating, green eyes, perfet and white teeth, perfect sight, perfect hering and smell, yet no blood hunger. I'm geting a hold of this thing. I grabbed my school backpack and headed outside to my new car.

Hm... Would people get suspicious as to how I drive? Nah..

I got into my black Camaro, yeah just like Damon's, and drove off to look for the school. It wasn't difficult at all, but I saw I was kind of late. I parked in the first building that said 'FRONT OFFICE' deciding I couln'd just appear in class.

"Hello dear, how may I help you?" The woman asked.

"Oh, I'm the new freshman student, Cassandra." I said.

"I don't have ou here..." she said as she looked confused throught papers.

I grabbed her hand and looked at her straight in the eyes, "Yes you do, you'll also make me a note explaining my tardines to the teachers and a note explaining the confussion of me not being in student's list" I said as I tried to compel her just like they do in Vampire Diaries.

She got a vacant look in her eyes and then thy got back to normal. 

"Oh right!" She said as she smiled. "Cassandra, I'm so sorry I confused. You're a new freshman right?"

"Yes... However," I said as I thought about the family of before. "I should be put in Junior classes, since I was advanced in my other school."

"Right." she said after getting over the vacant look.

"Here's your schedule." She said as she handed me a schedule with a map. "And the notes."

"Thank you," I answered as I smiled and headed back outside.

I went to my Camaro again and went to the parking lot. Apparently it was luch, since people where outside. All people ouside gaped at me once I was out of the car, so I smirked. I confidently walked to school and entered the cafeteria. Surprice! I was right.

I scanned the place searching for the Cullens, and I spotted them in the back. I decided it would be weird if I suddenly went to their table, so I first need to investigate about them.

I felt looks on me so I smiled confidently as I went for a tray of food. I could hear whispers about me all over the place, but I was trying to consentrate on the table of the Cullens.

"There's another new girl today, everyone's thinking about her." One of them muttered.

"Another one? But nobody knew..." A girl muttered.

"No apparently not," the first one answered.

I noticed them turning to me and I realised I had been watching each of them as they spoke.

"Oh shit, now I look like a stalker!" I muttered as I turned around. I heard one of them laugh and I glared at the table. "It wasn't funny." I whispered annoyed, so low I'm sure no human could hear.

They all looked at me wide eyed or confused, so I shrugged and continued with the food. I'm so stupid, how am I to talk to them now? They must be suspicious of something... I felt something weird in my head... like being invaded.

"I can read her mind, she thinks we now suspect of her... of what?" The first boy who talked said.

Shit! I tried with all might might to do as the Harry Potter book said and protect my mind. Soon the feeling of invasion went away and I sighted in relief.

"What else is she thinking?"

"I can't read it anymore!" The guy said shocked.

I smirked as I finished grabbing my food and turned around. I decided I should go talk to someone however I heard some girl ask about some Cullens, i looked at her and then into the direction she was looking at and saw that indeed she was looking at the vampires.

I went over to them and smiled confidentaly as I arrived next to a pretty girl with pale skin and brown hair.

"May I join you?" I said. "I'm new so I don't know anyone."

"S-Sure!" a girl asked. 

"Thanks." I said as I sat down. "I'm Cassie."

"Bella," the one from beside me answered.

"Jessica." the other one said smiling. "Like I was saying, those are Edward and Emmet Cullen, and Rosalie and Jasper Hale. the one who left was Alice. They are all the adoptive children of Dr. Carlisle..."

I stopped listening then. I thought of Dotor Carlisle and soon I could see a very handsome young man in a hospital. Something told me he was the one I needed to speak to.

I snapped out of it and looked at the Cullens confused.

I saw the one I now knew was called Emmett look right back at me. I didn't turn away however.

"I need to speack to Carlisle." I whispered so low and fast I'm sure no one heard.

Then all the table turned to look at me surpriced. 

"If she hears this she'll come come." The pretty blonde girl whispered, again very low.

I stood up then.

"Where are you going?" Bella asked confused.

"I need to check something out." I answered carelessly. I went and walked right at the table.

The blonde looked at me surpriced and I heard gasps from around the cafeteria.

"I really need to speak to Carlisle now." I whispered.

"She has a beat." Emmett said low and fast.

"I can hear you." I muttered as I made my heart stop beating. "I don't have a beat anymore, now can I please speak to Carlisle?"

"How did you do that?" Rosalie asked confused.

"You hav human eyes... are those contacts?" Edward asked.

"No," I answered rolling my eyes, I made them become red and then green again. 

"Who sent you here." Jasper asked.

"No one." I assured.

"Then why can't you let me read your thoughts?" Edward asked suspicious.

"Fine." I said as I sat down. I removed the prottection fom my mind and thought about how stupid this people were, of course just to annoy Edward.

"Very funny.· Edward muttered, but I could se a little smile forming in his lips.

"I know." I said as I smiled. "Now take me to Carlisle."

"What do you want with Carlisle?" Rosalie asked.

"I want to know about vampires." I said.

"What? But you're one." Emmett stated.

"No? Really?" I said sarcasticaly. "I was transformed not long ago. You're different, your eyes are golden not red. Why?"

"You're a newborn?" Jasper said shocked. "Noy possible. You'll be killing everyone."

"Ew. I won't drink people' blood. I had enough animals yesterday and.. I can control my hunger." I thought about my weird changing between human and vampire.

"What was that?" Edward asked.

"That's my problem. I suppose you can't change to humans at will? No? Well I can." I answered.

"That's impossible!" Rosalie said.

"Really?" I said as I made my heart beat once again. My skin started to change but I made it stay pale.

"H-How?" Rosalie muttered.

"Now please. I need to speak to Carlisle."

"Let's go." Edward said. "I'll take her."

We both stood up and he started to walk to a Volvo.

"Oh, no way I'm riding that. Let's go to my car." I said as I walked to my Camaro. He raised an eyebrow but I tossed him the keys and he got in.

"Are you even old enough to drive?" he asked.

"Not really." I said as I looked away.

At least I'm off to meet Carlisle now.
