We silently made our way to Jake's house, only for me to start mutternig curses.

"What's wrong?"  Paul asked confused.

"Bella's here."

JAke walked towards her, and then she noticed us. She glared, making me actually feel bad. Bella asked to talk to Jacob alone, and after a hesitant moment, Jake went with her.

Afrter a while of impatiently waiting Jacob came back looking kind of lost.

"I'm sorry Jake," I whispered  giving his hand a light squeeze before shifting to wolf and running to the forest. I have to find Victoria now.

All that day I had to block out Jake's thoughts. They were annoying everyone... but I couldn't stop feeling bad. I had to talk to Bella again! She was now alone in all of this! It's all that stupid vampires fault. He's the one who started all!

I sighed as I stood up from my bed, unable to sleep. Who am I kiding? I miss them. I miss how we used to joke around, and prank each other. I miss how even though I always lost, Emment would be up for a re-match in arm wrestling. How Alice loved to shop every single thing, not really caring if it was useful. How I could talk to Rose about everything because she'll listen, but tell me what she really thinks. How Jasper was like a best friend to me, and we could do just about anything when bored. We once started playing bullshit... it was so funny because I knew when he was lying and he knew when I felt nervous he'd see through my lie. I miss Esme and Carlisle... how they truly actedlike my parents. I do have to admit... I missed my "brother" the most. Edward...when we talked, when we laughed, how he came to me about Bella... everything.

"Stop it," I muttered to myself, realizing I was crying. "They made it clear. They don't want me!"

I heard muffled voices downstairs, and realized to late someone was coming to my room.

"Cassie?" Paul asked from my door. "What's wrong?"

He turned on the lights and with one look at me, he came and sat next to me, engulfing me in a tight hug.

"What's wrong?" he repeated. 

"Sorry," I apologised simling half-heartedly. "It's just..."

I looked towards the door, where everyone was now. There was Emily... she took me in with no questions, acting like a big sister instantly. There was Sam, who saved my life once, and then saved it again when he took me in. I don't know what would've been of me if he hadn't. Jared was also there, looking at me concerned. He was now my best friend. Embry and Jake weren't here, but they're all like family now. 

I found myself smiling, looking at all of them thankfully.

"I was thinking about my..." I stopped. They weren't my family, Edward said so himself. "About the people I used to consider my family. I don't know why though... They've probably forgotten about me by now."

I laughed a little, but it was forced. I wiped the tears from my eyes as Jared sat beside me in the bed, putting a conforting hand on my shoulder. Thet's when I really smiled.

"Who needs them?" I asked laughing sinsirly. "I have a better family now right?"

Emily and Sam smiled, while Jared started pretençding to cry and hugging me. Paul rolled his eyes at the now laughing Jared and I stood up.

"I'm not sleepy anymore!" I said excited. "Let's watch a movie!"

"What do you want to watch?" Paul said smiling at me.

"HARRY POTTER!" I shouted standing up and rushing downstairs to prepare the popcorn, but not before hearing a chorus of groans and an annoyed 'Again?!' from Jared. Emily just laughed and came to help me set everything up.

I woke up in the morning sprawled in the couch. Jared, Paul and Embry (who'd come back half-way through the movie) were in the floor snoring. I could smell pankackes, so that meant Emily was up. Sam probably was outside in te forest. 

I smirked and rolled off the couch, falling on top of the three unsuspected victims.

"What the-?" JAred asked groaning.

"Get off!" Embry muttered.

Paul didn't even stirr.

"WAKE UP! VAMPIRE!" I yelled.

The three suddenly stood up, malking me fall to the floor.

"Where?" Paul yelled half-asleep using a pillow as a shield.

I started laughing suddenly, making the three heads turn down to look at me.

"Your faces!" I said between laughter.

"It's not funny," Jared comlained, but I could see a faint smile.

"It is," I replied sitting. "Even though you threw me off."

"That's what you get," Paul muttered annoyed.

"Hey!" I said standing up. "Breakfast is ready!"

And that said, the three went to the kitchen.

"LEAVE SOME FOR ME!" I shouted as I walked there.

"Guys," Sam said suddenly comming in the house as we all finished.

"What up?" I asked grinning.

"Jacob has called a meeting."

"What for?" Embry asked. 

"I don't know, he just phased, ased for a meeting, and phased back," Sam said annoyed.

"Well, if we want to find out, we better go!" I yelled standing up.

We all followed Sam to where this misterious meeting would be. Hm... this is where we found Bella and Jake the other day!

"Oh no," I muttered cathchin their scent.

"What now?" Jared asked from beside me.

I kept quiet. She knows now. Damn it!

Jacob soon appeared, and I couls see Bella cowering behind him. 

I sighed as all of the pack became instantly furious.

I took a step forward and waved, trying to make the tension... less tense?

"Relax!" I muttered to the four angry guys behind me. "First we hear their story-"

"What have you done, Jacob?" Sam demanded, cutting me off.

"Why can't you just follow the rules, Jacob?" Paul yelled, throwing his arms in the air. "What the hell are you thinking? Is she more important than everything—than the whole tribe? Than the people getting killed?"

"She can help," Jacob said quietly.

"Help!" the angry boy shouted. His arms begin to quiver. "Oh, that's likely! I'm sure the leech-lover is just dying to help us out!"

"Don't talk about her like that!" Jacob shouted back angrily.

"Paul! Relax!" Sam commanded. I looked to Paul, to find him trembling. Oh damn.

Paul shook his head back and forth trying to concentrate.

"Jeez, Paul,"  Jared muttered. "Get a grip."

Paul twisted his head toward Jared, his lips curling back in irritation. Then he glared at Bella. Jacob took a step to put himself in front of her.

What an idiot.

"Right, protect her!" Paul roared in outrage.

"PAUL DON'T!" I yelled. Too late.

Jake soon started to run towards Paul. Dramatic boy he is. Jumping hight, he phased mid-air. Soon the two where fighting.

"Grow up!" I shouted as Sam phased to and they went to the forest.

"C-Cassie!" Bella said eyeing me wide-eyed. "Aren't they supposed to k-"

"I'm not scared," I interrupted her instantly, receiving suspicious looks from Embry and Jared. "I'm one of them too."

"What?" Bella asked wide-eyed. "No! It's impossoble!"

"It is possible Bella," I muttered concious about the looks from Jared and Embry. "We'll talk about this later.

Soon, we could no longer hear the howls of the wolfs.

Embry laughed, making me roll my eyes. "Well, that's something you don't see everyday!"

"I do," Jared grumbled. "Every single day."

"You're such a baby!" I said pinmching his cheeks while laughing. "He doesn't loose his temper every day!"

"Well, he controls himself aroud you more..." He muttered snaping my hands away.

"Sure he does," I replied laughing.

"Get Sam's shoes can you?" Jared said picking up the shredded clothes. "The rest is for the trash."

I helped him picking stuff up.

"Hey, you aren't going to faint or puke or anything?" Embry asked Bella.

"I don't think so..." Bella muttered, making me chuckle.

"Sit down Bells," I said smiling a little. She obeyed and put her head between her knees.

"Jake should've warned us," Embry complained.

"He shouldn't have brought his girlfriend in on this. What did he expect?" Jared said, making me laugh.

"Well the wolf's out of the bag now." Embry said smiling at me. "Way to go Jake!"

"Aren't you worried about them at all?" Bella snapped, making me laugh loudly.

"Please Bells," I said smiling. "Nothing's going to happen. We're strong."

"They could hurt each other!" Bella gasped, staring at me like I lost it.

Embry and Jared guffawed.

"I hope Paul gets a mouthful of him," Jared said."Teach him a lesson."

I glared at him. 

"Don't joke with that!"

"Yeah, right!" Embry disagreed. "Did you see Jake? Even Sam couldn't have phased on the fly like that. He saw Paul losing it, and it took him, what, half a second to attack? The boy's got a gift."

"Paul's been fighting longer. I'll bet you ten bucks he leaves a mark."

"You're on. Jake's a natural. Paul doesn't have a prayer."

They shook hands, grinning.

"Boys will be boys," I muttered rolling my eyes. 

"Let's go see Emily. You know she'll have food waiting." Embry said, then looking at Bella. "Mind giving us a ride?"

"Sure," Bella replied airily.

"I think one of us should drive..." I said noticing Bella's state.

"I'll drive," Embry offered. "Where are the keys?"

"Ignition," Bella muttered as I helped her up.

"Geez Bells! I'm never lending you my car! It could be stolen." I joked smiling.

Bella smiled a little rolling her eyes. Well, at least she's over the shock.

"In you go!" Embry said opening the door. I pushed Bella inside and climbed in the back. 

"Come here Jared!" I shouted smiling. "Don0t think  you'll fit there!"

"Yeah, yeah,"Jared said climbing. "You calling me fat?"

"Maybe!" I laughed as he rolled his eyes and started tickling me. 

"Emily's cooking!" I said as the truck stopped.

"Mmm! Emily's cooking," Embry repeated getting out of the truck.

I jumed out with Jared following and walked towards Bella.

"You hungry?" Emily asked as we arrived at the kitchen. "Oh, Who's this?"

"Bella Swan," Jared told her smiling. "Who else?"

"So Jacob found a way around huh?" she muttered to herself. She then looked at Bella smiling. "So you're the vampire girl?"

"Yes," Bella muttered turning to me, maing me stiffen. I moved my head, signeling for her to keep quiet. of course, it didn't go unnoticed by the two guys, who where now looking at me suspiciously. "Are you the wolf gir?"

"I guess I am," Emily laughed. "Altough, I think Cassie fills the description more."

"I do too..." Bella muttered, making me glare at her. Jared and Embry where confused, but Emily hadn't heard.

"Where's Sam?" Emily asked me.

"Oh... well, Bella kind of surpriced Paul," I said smiling at her.

"Oh Paul," she rolled her eyes. "Will they be long?"

"Nah," I replied shrugging. 

"But if they're late," Embry cut in. "We won't let anything go to waste."

"No doubt," Emily said as she walked to the kitchen. "Bella, are you hungry? Help yourself a muffin if you'll like."

Soon enough, when half the muffins were gone, they came back.

Sam and Emily were having they're lovey-dovey moment while I greeted Paul.

"Ohhh!" I said taking Paul's arms. "Looks like Embry won again!"

"Oh man!" Jared compleined, while Embry grinned.

"Hey guys!" Sam called out, making my attentiuon snap to him. "Jake's got some info on us."

He looked to me. Oh, so Bella told him about Victoria. 

This shall be interesting.
