Charlie was sitting alone on his sofa. His father, George, was upstairs, sleeping. He doesn't have a very good relation with his father. But after his divorce with Bella, he was feeling really lonely. So he called his father and asked him to stay with him.

His father came two days before from Germany. Charlie told him everything from his divorce with Angelina to his marriage to Bella. He told his father, how he called Angelina a problem.

George was really angry with Charlie. He lost his wife due to his son. And now, his son has ruined the life of two other women.

Charlie knows his father hates him, but he feels better that someone is with him. He never tried to contact Angelina after that day. His divorce with Bella, happened two days later. Maybe Angelina was able to convince Edward.
He was really thankful to Angelina and wanted to go to her, thank her, love her. But he is not going back, until Angelina realised her fault and asks for forgiveness.

Charlie can tolerate anything but lies. A lie his friend told, took his mother's life. A lie Angelina told, ruined his life. And Angelina needs to understand how she ruined his life. He endangered his life to save her,and never expected anything in return. She called him an cheater, ruined his image in the society but he still was ready to forgive her. But when he told Angelina the truth, she left him. He is never going to forgive Angelina for this. He hates people who try to run away from truth.

Angelina, just accept you bring problems with you.

Angelina is still living in her New York apartment with her mom. She is still waiting for Charlie to ask forgiveness. Whenever her phone rings, she thinks it's Charlie. But no, he hasn't tried to contact her after that day.

Edward and Bella married last week. Emma and Ryan are going to marry soon. She is happy for all of them. But what about her own happiness.

Today is her birthday. She has invited all her friends, Emma, Ryan, Edward, Patrick, Selena and Bella. Bella is her friend now. She can understand Bella's pain and Bella can understand her. Her mom has decorated the whole house and ordered a beautiful cake. And now they are waiting for the guests to arrive.

It's 7p.m., when everyone arrives at Angelina's house. Chorus of happy birthday fills the whole house.
She was looking happy but not feeling anything.

She is continuously looking out of the window to get any sign of a car, to get any sign of Charlie.

"Edward is taking me to France, this Friday." Bella was telling Selena.

"I would have slapped him" Patrick was laughing. He was talking to Ryan, who was telling him about some patient.

"Diamonds are my favorite." July was talking to Emma and Edward.

Everyone was busy talking and enjoying the party. Apart from Angelina, she was alone, even in this crowded room.

"Charlie, it's been too much. Go and say sorry to Angelina. Patrick told me today is her birthday. Give her some gift and ask her to forgive you. And be a little decent, keep your arrogant ass in control." George said when Charlie, returned home from police station.

He can't refuse his father. "Okay." He said.

Then door bell rings. Angelina gets up to open the door. Edward interrupts, "Birthday girl, you sit. Let me attend it."

He goes to open the door.
"HOW DARE YOU COME HERE!" Edward shouted.

"I am here to talk to Angelina. Can I?" Charlie said angrily.

Angelina runs to the door, but July holds her hand and stops her.

Ryan and Emma joins Edward to stop Charlie from coming in.

"So, have you come to ask for forgiveness for my sister's death?" Emma said.

"No, why would I say sorry for something I didn't do?" Charlie replied.

"You bloody ass. If Angelina wouldn't have saved you, you would have been death by now." Emma snapped back.

"I have never seen such an arrogant man like you. Always playing the victim." Ryan added.

"You are the most disgusting man, I wish you die a painful death." Edward said.

"Edward, don't call him a man. Cause he is not." Bella said and Edward laughed.

Charlie didn't say anything, he was only looking at Angelina. Angelina was only standing at her place, without saying anything.

"Go away now, you dog." Edward said to Charlie pushing him.

"I am not going until Angelina asks me to go." Charlie replied.

"Don't dare you say her name with your bloody mouth." Edward punched Charlie's face.

Charlie raised his hand to hit Edward, but Angelina interrupted "Charlie, please go." and looked away in other direction.

Charlie stood at his place for few seconds and moved back towards his car without saying anything.

"Party's over! Everyone please go!" Angelina said.

"I am sorry Angelina, you birthday party was ruined." Edward said apologetically.

"No, Edward, I enjoyed, now please go. Ryan and Emma, thanks for coming, you two can leave too." Angelina replied

Edward and Bella left first. Ryan and Emma thank Angelina and July for the party and leaves. Selena sits next to Angelina and Patrick goes to see off the guests. July goes to her room to sleep.

"How can Charlie be so shameless. Atleast, he should be sorry for Emma's sister's death." Selena was trying to calm down Angelina, who was crying.

"Why should he be sorry, he didn't do anything." Patrick said while closing the door behind him.

"Patrick, you were Charlie's classmate, please tell me the truth. What happened in school?" Angelina looked at Patrick with hopeful eyes.

"I, Charlie and Mark were best friends in school. Always together. We were the best trio in the whole school. Charlie, was really popular in school, lot of girls wanted to date him. One such girl was Ariana, Emma's sister.

Ariana was Mark's friend too. She was constantly bullied for being fat. Ariana loved Charlie but Charlie had no feelings for her.

Once, Ariana told Mark about her love for Charlie. Mark, as a prank, told her that Charlie also loved him and wanted her to propose him on Valentine's in front of whole school. Mark thought this prank would be funny as Ariana would get humiliated in front of whole school.

It was Valentine's, I and Charlie were going to our class, when Ariana stopped us in a corridor. The corridor was full of people. She went on her knees and proposed Charlie. Charlie was a bit embarrassed and refused her as politely as possible. Most of the people in the corridor didn't noticed all this.

But suddenly Mark came out of one of the classroom, and shouted loudly, "Oh! Look, that hippo is proposing Charlie." And all the eyes in corridor turned towards Ariana and Charlie.

"Hippo, you think Charlie likes you. You are such a fool." Mark shouted. The whispering in the corridor turned into laughter. I and Charlie tried to stop Mark, but he kept on humiliating Ariana in front of everyone. Ariana was really hurt and ran away crying. We tried to find her to say sorry but couldn't. She committed suicide.

Next day, police came to arrest Charlie from school. His mother was devastated to hear this information.

She immediately called Charlie's father, who was in another state at that time and took her car to go to the police station from her office.

She told everything to George, Charlie's father. He too, was devastated after hearing this . Charlie's mother was really overwhelmed and scared for her son. His father was also constantly asking her to go to police station fast. In all this hurry, she didn't noticed the traffic lights, it was red. She jumped the red light and a truck coming from the other side collided with her car. She died on the spot. Last thing Charlie's father heard on phone was his wife's scream.

Charlie was released after interrogation. Police couldn't find anything against him.

He tried to call his mother but she didn't picked up the phone. He was devastated when he get to know about his mother's death.

His father blamed him for his mother's death. Charlie was never able to forgive himself. His father left him after his mother's funeral. He lived alone in the house, in which he still lives. He worked part time to earn money, completed school and college and finally was recruited as a police officer. My parents always supported him. He always treated me like a brother. He always told all his problems to me. He trusted me more than anyone and I trust him more than anyone else.

We don't know what happened to Mark, he left the school few months after Ariana's death.

Charlie hates lies more than anything. For him trust is the biggest thing. If you can't trust him, then leave his life. " Patrick told everything to Angelina.

Angelina was white, blood drained from her face. She couldn't speak anything.

"It's too late, Patrick and Selena, you should leave too. Thanks" Angelina said.

"Bye" They left too.

Angelina was finally alone, she can finally cry without looking weak. Charlie, you were right. I am the problem.
