"You insolent child!"

You jump, startled, and turned around. Lord Iago walked in briskly, glaring at you with a hatred of a thousand suns. You stumble backwards, trying your best not to destroy the summoning circle that you had made.

"What did I do?" You ask in horror.

He strikes your face, causing you to fall over and hit the ground. The summoning book in your arms is sent to the other side of the room.

"Did you take me as a fool?"

"N-No!" You scream back. "I swear to you, I didn't do anything!"

"You stole from the clan. That is punishable by death."

"What?"

"Lord Hans reported to me that you took the Nohrian necklace of power to summon a demon by yourself. You know how sacred that necklace is."

"Wha- I DID NOT TAKE THAT STUPID NECKLACE!" You yell. You scowl at him and clenched your fist. This man, the one you once admired, was full of darkness, and you loathed his presence.

"I welcomed you into the Akuma shoken clan when you were abandoned by your parents. I allowed you to live here for free... And this is how you repay us?!?"

You scowled at him and get up on your feet, getting into a fighting stance. Without warning, you reached out and strike his nose, causing blood to appear. He stumbled backwards into the circle, cursing and covering his bloody nose. Your fist stings, and you see that some of his blood is on your hand.

"What is wrong with you, child? How dare you disobey the clan orders?"

"SHUT UP WITH THE F****** CLAN ORDERS AND CLAN TRADITIONS!" You yell at him. "I WANTED TO FIND A HOME WHERE I WAS SAFE AND HAD PLENTY TO EAT! I DID NOT WANT TO END UP ANYWHERE CLOSE TO DANGER, WHERE WE SPEND EVERYDAY FAILING TO SUMMON DEMONS!"

Lord Iago sighed. "Oh (Y/N)... You know as well as I do that we're merely.... Ah, practicing for the main event."

"B*******!" You yell. "YOU MADE MY LIFE MISERABLE..... I WISHED THAT I NEVER MET YOU! I WISH I WAS LIVING A HAPPIER LIFE! I WISH YOU WERE DEAD!"

Suddenly, the room began to shake. You hold your arms out to balance yourself, while Lord Vincent fell over. Books fell off the bookshelf, and the candles extinguished themselves one by one until the room went dark and silent.

You catch your breath. "What happened?"

Suddenly, the center of the circle erupts into an inferno, engulfing Lord Iago. You blink and shield your arms, trying your best to shield your eyes.

Suddenly darkness enveloped you, and you felt yourself falling. Something caught you and held you close.

"So you're one who did this.... I'm quite surprised with your power."

"Who are you?" You ask.

"That will come later. For now.... Sweet dreams."

You were about to protest, but suddenly a wave of sleepiness overcame you. You try to fight it, but you were unsuccessful. You close your eyes and drift off, unaware of what was to come.
