C H A P T E R ~ S E V E N T E E N
Jasper, Monty, Murphy, and Bellamy were currently sitting in Bellamy's living room, each of them on their own laptop.
A couple days ago, after Bellamy had the brilliant idea of all of them moving in together, they've been searching for houses non-stop.
"Guys, take a look at this one." Murphy spoke up, turning his laptop for the other boys to see. "Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and even a finished basement."
"How much?" Monty asked, scrolling through the pictures. "$275,000." Murphy replied, turning the screen back to himself.
"That little for a four bedroom house?" Bellamy asked in disbelief. "Well, it's not exactly in the best neighbourhood," Murphy trailed off before Monty spoke up.
"Oh hell no, I'm it raising my little babies in some shitty neighbourhood with crackheads and prostitutes." Monty huffed, crossing his arms.
"I agree, I don't want Addy being around people like that." Bellamy agreed, nodding his head. "Fine, I'll keep looking." Murphy sighed.
After another hour Bellamy finally got up. "I need to go pick up Addy from school. I'll pick up a pizza too." He said, giving Murphy a quick kiss on the lips. "I'll be back in like, forty minutes." He added, grabbing his keys before walking out the front door.
The three other boys say in silence, just browsing multiple websites with houses for sale. "Holy fuck," Jasper gasped, jumping off of the couch and hurrying over to Murphy and Monty.
"Look, it's perfect. Five bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a fenced in yard. The seller says they're willing to lower the price to students." Jasper grinned, showing them the pictures.
"And they're probably gonna lower the fuck out of the price when they see we're three students and a single dad with a six year old." He added, his grin growing.
"How much is it now?" Murphy asked. "270,000." Jasper replied. "Damn, that's pretty good. And look, it's close to the subway station we use to go to school." Monty said, pointing to the description of the house.
"Let's put in an offer," Jasper said, starting to text the number on the website. "Wait, let's wait until Bellamy comes back." Murphy said, not wanting to leave his boyfriend out of this.
"Okay, fine." Jasper sighed, closing his laptop and leaning back against the couch. "Let's watch a movie until he comes back." Monty suggested, getting up and waddling to Bellamy's movie collection.
He picked out The Little Mermaid, putting it in to the Xbox before waddling back to the couch. "You look like a penguin when you walk," Murphy giggled, earning a pillow to the face.
"Shut the fuck up slut," Monty muttered, sitting down and cuddling into Jasper's side. Jasper turned to whisper into Murphy, "Sorry, he's been really moody lately." He chuckled lightly.
Murphy just shrugged it off, not bothered by the outburst. He cuddled into a pillow, wishing that Bellamy would hurry up with that pizza.

"Wow, it's really nice." Bellamy said as he looked at the pictures of the house Jasper found earlier. "Right? We should put an offer in now, before someone else does." Jasper said, taking a bite of his pizza slice.
Bellamy nodded, pulling out his phone. He sent the seller a text, asking if they could have a tour of the place. Not even five minutes later he got a reply.
"They said we could come tomorrow. I'm not working then, and Addy will be in school, so I can drive us." The other boys shook their heads. "Okay, how about at eleven, then we can go out for lunch." Jasper suggested.
"Sounds good," Bellamy mumbled, sending a reply to the seller, who he found out was named Tamara.

"Whoa, it looks nicer in person." Murphy said in awe as the four boys got out of Bellamy's car. They looked at the two story white house before walking up the small path that led to the blue front door.
Murphy reached out to knock on the door, but before he could it swung open to reveal a short white haired woman that must've been at least seventy.
"You must be Bellamy, Jasper, Murphy, and Monty. I'm Tamara." She smiled, holding the door open for them all. They all said their hellos before walking into the house.
After the tour they were all sat in the kitchen, eating the cookie Tamara had made before they came. As they are they talked about their situation.
"I understand, when I was sophomore in college I got pregnant with my first son. I couldn't find my own place so I would sleep on my friend's couches." Tamara sighed, taking a sip of her tea.
"Where was the father of your child?" Jasper asked, wrapping an arm around Monty. "I'm not sure, it was just a one night stand at some party." Tamara shrugged.
"When did you move in here?" Bellamy asked, stroking the pad of his thumb over his and Murphy's entwined hands. Tamara looked down at her tea cup, a small smile on her face as she thought about it.
"After I finished school, I got married to Paul, we had been dating for two years at the time. We moved in here with my son, Adam, and soon after we found out I was pregnant with our daughter, Rose.
"I was a stay at home mother, while Paul worked at city hall. Everything was going great until the kids started college. Adam decided he wanted to be a doctor, so he moved across the country to go to a top medical school.
"And Rose decided to go to the school I went to, the University of New York City. (Idek if that's what it's called I'm Canadian oops) Every year the kids would come home for the holidays.
"So about 30 years ago, Paul went to go pick up Rose from school, since it was Christmas. Adam had a flight home the next day too. Since it was winter the roads were covered in ice and snow.
"On the way back to our place, Paul and Rose hit a patch of ice on the road. Paul lost control of the car, causing it to spin before they crashed into a pole."
Tamara pauses for a moment, wiping away a tear as the four boys watched with sympathy. "Paul died on impact, and Rose died nine hours later in the hospital.
"The next day when Adam came home I had to break the news to him. He just locked himself in his room and don't come out until it was time for the funeral, which was two weeks later.
"After the funeral Adam went back to school. He completely shut people out. He stopped coming over for holidays. He wouldn't even answer my calls." Tamara sighed, wiping away a stray tear.
"I haven't seen him for twenty-eight years." She sighed quietly. "I'm so sorry," Monty whispered, wiping away his own tears. "Don't worry about it, honey." Tamara chuckled lightly.
"Now, why don't you boys tell me about yourselves." She smiled. And so they did. They started from how Jasper, Monty, and Murphy became best friends in middle school, to how they met Bellamy in the hallway of their building.
"So let me get this straight, you got this boy pregnant and you haven't even asked him out?" Tamara asked in disbelief. Jasper just gave her a sheepish nod.
"Well you need to man the fuck up and take him out on a date." Tamara said, crossing her arms. The four boys looked at her with shocked expressions before bursting out into laughter.
"I think I will." Jasper smiled, pressing a kiss to Monty's cheek. The younger boy blushed a pink, looking down at his his bump.
"Oh god, it's almost three-thirty. I need to go pick up Addy from school." Bellamy said, checking his phone. "Thank you so much for everything, Tamara." He smiled, pulling in the woman for a hug.
"Thank you boys for keeping me company." She smiled before giving each of the other boys a big hug. They all walked to the door, Tamara following behind them.
And as they walked to the car she said something that made all four boys grin. "I hope you'll make as many memories as my family did when you move into this house."
