Dear straight girl,

Love the fact that you don't have to come out of the closet because from the moment you're born, you're assumed straight.

I'm an outer lesbian so whenever I like somebody, I have no problem telling them. The problem comes when they say they like me back, but they're still in the closet.

It's tragic.

Obviously I've never in the past nor will in the future pressure a girl or guy to come out. But it's always a little disheartening when she isn't. Because then you can't date but the fact that she likes you just dangles over your head and you can't do anything about it.

This has happened to every girl I liked (and who had liked me back) and it always ends badly.

"I'm afraid of being outed"

"I can't deal with the pressure"

"Not ready for a gay relationship"

I've heard all of them, honey. It's happening currently but I'm still not ending things because I like this girl a lot.

So straight girls, be happy you don't have to come out of the closet. And by sympathetic to those who do.
