Two girls sat by them selves in the far cornor of a rowdy guild. Away from the excitment. Away from their friends. Away from happieness. Everything.

Not saying a word to each other. Too caught up in their own thoughts. What were they thinking about?

Why they were hated. Why they were Shunned. Why they were ignored after everything they've been through with their friends. Why them...

Some might say they were exaggerating but, thats what they truly felt. May it be true or not. They didn't feel wanted nor needed. Just something that was used and discarded.

Luckily, to bring them away from their depressing thoughts. A friendly face or two or mabey even three appeared. One too innocent to ever hurt them. Another too kind to ever leave them. And another too stern to ever play with their feelings.

"Lucy! Juvia!" Yelled a perky blue haired little girl as she ran up to them. In her hands she clutched a well dresses and prasteemed looking white cat.

Following the duo, was another blue haired beauty. She wasnt much taller than the girl and had messy, wild, blue hair that was being pushed back with an orange headband. A few strands stuck out here and there but it didn't seem to bother her.

In her hands, she too clutched something close to her heart. It was a stack of books; About 5 to be exact. Each one had hard covers and was fairly large. She held them tightly, as if they were a cuddly teddy bear, or her most prised possession.

She staggered as she tried to catch up with the child, almost tripping several times and dropping her beloved books.

Lucy and Juvia look up from the table they had been staring so intently at, and up at the girls as they ran over to them. A small smile was able to reach their lips as they saw them. As if they were a ray of sunshine on their gloomy night.

"Hey, guys" Lucy said to them. "Good morning Wendy, Levy. You too Carla" Juvia greeted.

"Likewise" Carla replied.

"Morning!" Wendy pulled up a seat next to Lucy and Levy did the same to Juvia, but not before putting down her books with much care.

"So, how's everything going? Any progress with the guys?" Levy asked, finally allowing herself to relax after making sure her books weren't in any danger of falling off of the table.

They shook their heads.

"Oh....well I'm sure they've at least greeted you once. Right?" She probed on.

Another shake of their head was given. "Not even a glance!?" Levy said in shock. "Not a word, not a look. They probably forgot we even existed." Lucy meekly stated.

"Really? I wouldnt think that it would last this long...are you sure they aren't mad at you for something? Natsu and Gray aren't ones to do something like this" Wendy looked over at the rambunctious two as they fought with each other.

"Not that I know of. And even if there was, its already been a few months. Wouldnt that be enough time?" Lucy signed.

"4 months and 29 days..." Juvia mumbles, looking back down at the table. Lucy looked pitifully at Juvia.

She knew that she was suffering the most out of the two of them. She was unwatned most her life and to be put back in the same situation with the person she loves must have be heartbreaking.

"This is dispicable. How could they be so insensitive." Carla scowled. "Well it's not only them, it's the entire guild except you guys and a few others." Lucy defended.

Even though she didn't like how they we're being treated, she didn't feel right blaming him. It made her heart ache and her stomach turn, she could just feel it wasn't his fault.

"This isn't right...The guild is supposed to be a welcoming place, where friends new and old can celebrate and laugh with each other! Not like this at all!"

Levy was begining to get aggitated for her friends. She didn't like such unjust actions. "I know...." Lucy said looking around the guild hall.

They had had so many adventures together. So many memories shared. What would have caused it to be like this...? to be so different...?

To her dismay, her eyes landed apon the table of her used to be freids. They were all so happy. Smiling and laughing. They didn't even seem to care that they weren't with them. That they we're hurting....that they felt...useless.

But, that wasnt even the worst part. Natsu, who she
had feeling for...had already been claimed by another.

Lisanna.

She sat on his lap and hugged and kisses him. She kissed his head where Erza had hit him. She kissed his cheek where Gray had punched him. And she kisseed his lips even though they were swollen.

She should have been the one doing those things. Not her.

She should be in his lap, pampering him. Not her.

She hated her. Even though she didn't know about how Lucy fealt and had nothing to do with it, she despised the silver haired woman.

Sighing, Lucy continued to look around the once loving guild.

She saw more fighting, and drinking, and arguing. Which was how they all showed their live for each other despite how it may look.

As the girls continued to talk about how the boys were being such idiots and insensitive jerks, Lucy still survayed the guild, not wanting to join in on the conversation.

She looked at all her prevous friends and family untill  something else caught her eye.

A fairly tall man leaned into the wall in the cornor of the guild. His knightly mask covering his hurt expression as he gazed upon the loving couple Natsu and Lissana made.

"Bixslow..." she mummbled, as her chocolate brown eyes softened.

"You say something, Lucy?" Wendy asked. "Hm?...oh it's nothing" she replied.

"Alright if you say so. Anyway, like I was saying, we really should..." with that, Lucy began to zone out again  back intinher own world.

She look back over at bixslow.

The poor guy.

She knew he had feelings for the silver haired cutie. The way he constantly tried to make her smile, always asking for her when ever he saw Mirajane without her.

The boy was in love.

Lucy gave a small simpathetiv smile in his direction, just as Evergreen sauntered over to him. Probably to yell at him for something or another.

His dammener quickly changed.

Bixslow smirked and began to mock the bossy brunette. She slaped him and he laughed as she fummed and walked off.

Once she was away, his smirk quickly faded. He looked back at the couple with sorrowfull eyes. Even though they we're covered  she could tell that they were there. She didn't need to see them.

He turned around and walked towards the table that Evergreen noe sat at with Laxus and Freed,  mostly likely complaining about the annoying loud man.

Lucy sighed.

Looking away from him and back at her true friends, she spoke up. "Can we stop talking about this? Its kind of depressing" Lucy asked and Juvia nodded in responce.

"Yeah I guess it kinda is." Levy agreed. "Anyway, on to another topic!" The blond chirped

"So, what's with the books, Levy? You were acting as if they were your babies." her damener was quickly changed. She turned from a being so depressed to so happy. Almost as if nothing was wrong with her.

Juvia on the other hand wasnt as good with this. She could smile but, you could tell it wasnt genuine and that she was troubled.

"Well, I sort of have to. Master asked me to look into something and then gave me these. something about an ancient magic. And on top of that their really old and fragile. If anything so much as scratches them I would faint." She said sternly, eyeing the stack of books intently.

The look on the little woman's face was so funny that everyone couldn't help but laugh. Juvia even let out a small giggle.

Levy didn't find it amusing however. "Whats so funny?" She pouted. "Its nothing" Wendy assured her. She rolled her eyes.

"Sorry Levy, but seeing you act so caring towards a few books is very funny" Juvia continued to giggle. Levy looked at her and smiled. "Well...I guess it is kinda--"

Before she could finish her sentance, she was rudley interupted by someone yelling.

"Hey everyone, listen up! Gray and I have something important to say!" Everyone looked over to the stage, where the sudden bellow seemed to be coming from. The girls included.

On the stage stood the pink haired punk and the ice cold ravennete. They looked down at them, glaring.

The girls watched nervously as he began to move his lips.

"Lucy. Juvia. Come up here" He asked-- no he commanded! As if he were a king addressing pesants. Not a single sliver of compasion was present.

"Gray-sama..." Juvia looked up at the man with worry filled eyes.

Suddenly getting a feeling of easyness, she looked around the guild.

All eyes were on them. They peirced their very soul with their angry eyes, staring at them expectantly. The two felt pressured. As if they were a bug being examined under a huge microscope.

"What could they possibly want?" Levy whispered. "Mabey they want to publicly apologize to you guys?" Wendy said, raiseing an optimistic finger.

"I doubt it, just look at their faces." Carla shook her head.

The exceed was right. The look on the boys faces practically spelled trouble. They had big smirks on their faces, looking down at them. Miniacly.

"Well...theres only one way to find out." Lucy said confidently. Juvia nodded unsurely.

They got up from the table and proceeded to walk to the stage. Juvia stood close behind Lucy, unsure of what might happen.

Lucy look at her and smiled assurently. "Its going to be fine. Don't let them intimidate you. I'm right next to you so don't worry."

Juvia nodded, stepping out from behind her, still keeping her head down timidly.

The two slowly made their way onto the stage. The guild watching and judging them as they slowly trudged on.

On the stage, the two boys looked at them wickedly. Lucy took a deep breath and stepped forward, until Juvia grabbed her arm. "L-lucy... Juvia would like to do this" she said.

She simply nodded.

Juvia stepped forward and took a deep breath. "W-Why has Natsu and Gray-sama called us?" She bravely asked.

Gray glared at her, his eye twitching as she spoke. He opened his mouth but was quickly inturuptedby Natsu.

"I'm going first" he spoke.

Lucy gulped.

"Look Lucy, im gunan be straight with ya. You're a weak and pathetic excuse for a Fairy Tail wizard."

One.

"You hide behind your spirits and are a dead weight for team Natsu."

Then another.

"The only reason I brought you to Fairy Tail, was so you could replace Lissana. But, now that she's back we don't need you holding us back anymore."

And another.

"And on top of all that, you are really annoying when you complain about your rent. I can't take it anymore!"

And another...

With every insult spoken, a dagger was driven through her already broken heart. His words scarred her very soul and it hurt more than anything.

The hurtful words he said echoed in her head. Haunting her.

'Weak'....'pathetic'....'annoying'....'a replacement'

The pain that he caused her was so unbearable that it couldn't be true. It COULDNT be true.

"Natsu...y-you can't be serious. After everything we did....after all we've been through" she reached for his hand only to have it swatted away.

She retracted it and held it in her other. She looked at the hand that had been swatted. It was the hand with the Fairy Tail insignia on it. The one she got thanks to Natsu. The one she loved. And it was clear that the feeling wasn't mutual.

Warm tears began to bubble up in her eyes. However, Lucy fought them back, not wanting to give them any satisfaction what so ever.

Juvia looked at her, pitifuly. She placed a caring hand on her shoulder and spoke softly. "Lucy....Juvia thinks it would be best if we got of the stage. People are staring" she advised.

Lucy looked over at the crowd that had gathered around the stage to see what was going on. She scannned them. Looking at each and everyone of their disguste faces. They glared at them. They HATED them.

Even Erza, the mighty Titania that preached so passionatly about friendship, couldn't even bare to look at them.

"I--" she only was able to get a single syllable out, before getting choaked up. She held a hand over her mouth and slowly nodded.

Juvia and Lucy turned around, about to walk of the stage when Gray stopped them.

"Where do you think you're going? I don't remember saying we were ever done." He barked.

Juvia froze. His voice chilled her to the core. It sounded cold and distant.

"So, if it wasnt already obvious, your off team Natsu and Lisanna will be taking your place." The last few words he spoke delivered the final blow to her heart and it shattered. Crumbling to a million pieces.

She couldn't bare the pain in her heart any longer and collapsed on to the floor. "L-lucy!" Juvia shouted.

She quickly met her freind at her side. "Are you alright?" She asked.

"..." Lucy didn't respond.

Juvia looked up from her friend and at the hateful duo. She grittef her teeth in anger.

"Thats enough! Lucy has been hurt! Its time to stop this!" she defended her friend, quickly standing up.

Thats when Gray stepped forward. He stared down at her. His eyes piercing through her. She felt her stomach turn just looking at them.

Feeling uneasy, Juvia stepped back, and away from him.

"If she gets hurt just from learning the truth then it proves she is just in denial." Gray harshly spoke. "W-what did Lucy do to deserve this...She is strong! Not weak... Natsu and Gray-sama are st--"

Suddenly, a loud and harsh rang out through the guild hall. It surprised even the spectators that had gathered around the stage. It was so loud and sudden that before even she could realise it, Juvia was on the floor with wide eyes.

A red mark prominent on her left cheek.

Juvia slowly raised a hand to her cheek. She looked up at Gray, tears now dripping from her deep sea blue orbs. Like rain from a cloud on a gloomy day. And a gloomy day It was. "G-gray...sama...?"

"I am not....YOUR GRAY-SAMA!" He barked. Looking down at her with feirce cold eyes. He scared everyone in the room, even Natsu was shocked.

"I am sick and tired of hearing 'Gray-sama' this and 'Gray-sama that'! Just stop already with the stupid gifts and charms and all that other bull shit!"

Juvia looked down at the dusty and dirty stage floor. Her tears now becoming a flood as they left her eyes.

Her eyes....they were different...they lost their sheen...their sparkle...their...color. They looked almost...dead.

Her eyes seemed to reflect how she felt inside. Dead.

She wasn't as stong as Lucy was. She couldnt hide her emotions. They flowed out of her, much like her tears. In a constant stream... and unyielding.

"It just drives me insane to here you 'confess' over and over again! And oh the way you speak! Are you mentally Ill?!" He raved on.

"And let's just get one more thing straight! I don't love you! And I n--"

In a blink of an eye and a blur of blonde, another loud sound rang through the guild. This one more spinetingling and blood curtaling than the last.

This time, Gray was on the floor....and Lucy stood menacingly over him. A dark cloak covering her eyes.

Her fist clutched tight...as crimson poured from within it. No one sure if it was hers or his.

"Don't you dare.... lay your hands on her...! AND TELL HER SUCH HORRIBLE THINGS!" She roared looking down  at him, with powerful,  unforgiving eyes.

"L-lucy...?" Juvia looked up at her with the same eyes that had lost all their light and life.

Which had now returned to them. Back to their original state as they looked upon Lucy. As if she were an angel that had just desended from the heavens.

"Juvia has been through enough torment! She doesn't need you adding to it!" Lucy barked at the ice mage. With anger and hatread. Her eyes burned pasionatly as she spoke.

"She is kind, beautiful and strong! you don't deserve her anyway!"

"She showed you nothing but love, care, and compasoon! And this is how you repay her!"

Natsu, along with everyone else, looked on in fear and amazement. He shook his head and narrowed his eyes. Reganing his composure.

He charged at her.

"Hey, what do you thi--"

He was cut off. Not from a slap...a kick....nor a punch... but from a simple glance.

A look of strength and power. Her eyes peared deep into his very being. Paralizing him.

His body, now incompasitated, gave out and fell over. Passing out.

"Natsu!" Screened someone from the crowed.

Lucy look over at them, just in time to see somone rush on to the stage and to Natsus side. Her short, silver, hair covered her face as she examined him.

"Lisanna..." Lucy growled.

"He's out cold..." she mumbled.

She looked away from Natsu and up at Lucy, glaring.

"You dirty bitch! He only spoke the truth when he kicked you off his team! A weakling like you doesn't deserve to be on it!"

As soon as she said that a loud shattering sound rang through-out the guild. The entire guild whiped their heads around in the direction of bar, where the shatter seemed to have come from.

At the bar stood the lovely Mirajane. Frozen in shock.

Obviously taken back by what her so called 'sweet little sister' had just said.

Lucy glared at the short haired woman.

Her confidence wavered and she looked on to the blondes furious eyes. She stepped back and gulped.

"Come on Natsu..." she mumbled turning away from
The blonde and stooping next him.

Picking him up and allowing him to lean on to her shoulder.

With one more quick look, Lisanna walked off the stage. Leaving Gray, Lucy, and Juvia on it.

The entire guild was dead silent as they left the stage. Some not even daring to breath, in fear of further angering the blonde.

Lucy walked away from Gray and sat at Juvias side.

"Sorry about that Juvs. You didn't deserve any of that" she smiled.

Juvia merely nodded. Tears still trickling down her porcalin skin.

"Hey, no more tears ok? You don't have to worry about him anymore. Or any of these other jerks."

Juvia dried her eyes and nodded onece more, still not wanting to speak.

"You know...I've been thinking for a while now. Why should we stay at a place that where were not need or wanted?" She asked, now grinning.

Juvia looked at her, confused.

"Lets leave Fairytail..."

"What?" Juvia said, shocked.

The thought of leaving Fairytail, her home, the place where she felt like she finally belonged, had never even crossed her mind before. Even after she started feeling neglected by her guild mates, she never would have dreamed of leaving.

But now...that didn't seem like such a bad idea.

After all, she was unwanted, unneeded, and unnecessary....just as before.

She still had a small group of friends left, but in this case the majority seemed to rule and her long time crush had the biggest vote.

Juvia sighed, looking back up at Lucy with sorrowful eyes, and nodded.

"OK..."
