The Mission

Lucy panted, as she tried to catch her breath. The mission was a lot harder than she thought it would be. She berates herself for thinking that the dark guild would be weak.

Of course it wasn't weak. The reward was a dragon slayer lacrima. No way would it be easy for that kind of reward.

"Lucy!" Happy yells, swooping in. He picks her up with his tail, and flys away, right when one of the dark mages attacked.

"Thanks Happy! Can you fly me over to Laxus please?"

"Aye sir!" He says and drops her off gently next to Laxus who's just defeated one of the dark mages.

They had defeated all of them except for four of them. The first one, had shaggy purple hair and red eyes. He used a type of magic were he turned his magic into needles and threw it at people. But that wasn't it, he also weilded a purple sword. The next one was a man with mocha skin and dark black hair. He was a fire mage with a cocky attitude.

Next, was a man with combed brown hair and emerald green eyes. He used take over magic like Mira. Except his was even scarier. And last, was the master. He was a giant man, a little bit bigger than Laxus, but still humongous compared to Lucy. His magic was puppetry, it wasn't the strongest magic, but still powerful.

Lucy looked at her opponents and realized that Laxus and her would have to both take on two. Since she had Aquarius, it would be best for her to take on the fire mage. She would also need to take on the guy who turned his magic into needles.

"Laxus, Happy and I'll take the fire mage, and that needle guy. You get the other two," She whispers to him. He nods, before running to block an attack by the take over mage.

"Be careful!" He yells.

"I'll try! Happy let's go!" Lucy yells, and Happy lifts her up. She grabs a water bottle off her belt. On the train here, Laxus gave her the idea of always carrying water in case she needed Aquarius.

"Open, gate of the water bearer! Aquarius!"

Aquarius appeared looking irritated, but not as much as she usually was. She had been a little nicer to Lucy after the whole Team Natsu incident.

"What do you need, brat?" Aquarius growled, crossing her arms over her ample chest.

"Can you please help me defeat that fire mage?" Lucy asked, pointing towards the guy now smirking, while lighting up his fist.

"Fine! But don't summon me for a week once this done!" Aquarius shouted, raising her urn.

The dude, obliviosuly ran straight towards them, right into Aquarius's path of destruction.

"Ahhh!" He screamed before he was swept away. After the water cleared out, she saw him disoriented and trying to wobble to his feet.

"Lucy kick!" She screamed, kicking him so hard, he slammed into the dark guild's building.

"That was awesome Lucy!" Happy cheered.

That's what he gets for underestimating her. Laxus had been helping her with hand-to-hand combat, and her strength, so she was a lot stronger than before. He was even teaching her how to weild a sword.

She turned to the other guy, who looked more guarded than before.

"I'm impressed. I guess you're not just some blond bimbo," He said, his purple hair shifting in front of his eyes. He started making a bunch of needles. He threw them at her, grinning like a maniac.

"Open, gate of the ram! Aries!" Lucy yelled. Aries appeared and immediately made a wool wall.

"I'm sorry Miss Lucy," Aries stammered.

"No, thank you. Can you please stay here, to help me dodge his needles?" Lucy asked politely.

"Of course Miss Lucy," Aries responded, getting in a defensive stance.

"This will be fun..." The dark mage mumbled.

"Aries make a wool wall please!" Lucy yelled, seeing him launch an attack. Just in the knick of time, Aries made another wall.

"This is getting no where," The purple haired mage said before unsheathing his sword.

"Open, gate of the lion! Leo!" Lucy said. Loke appeared, already ready to fight.

"You're prince in shining armor is here!"

"Please distract him," Lucy said, quietly enough the dark mage wouldn't hear.

"Of course!" Loke ran at the dark mage.

"Open, gate of the maiden. Virgo," Lucy whispered, hoping the mage didn't notice.

"Punishment, princess?" Virgo asked appearing.

"No, can you please dig a hole under that mage over there? And can you please make it big enough where he can't just climb out?"

"Of course, princess," Virgo responded, before going underground.

"Aries, you can go back," Lucy says to the shy ram spirit.

"Thank you Miss Lucy," Aries says before disappearing.

"Ugh!" Lucy hears. She turns to the yell, and sees the dark mage trapped in a deep hole. And when she says deep hole, she means deep. He was laying flat on his back and looked like he just had the air knocked out of him.

"Loke, do you think you could knock him out and bring him up here, please?"

"Of course, anything for you!" Loke cried before knocking the poor fool out.

"Thank you so much, Loke, Virgo!"

"No problem Lucy," Loke said, giving her a charming smile.

"You guys can go home now," Lucy said smiling tiredly.

They dissapeared and Happy flew towards her.

"Wow Lucy, you're amazing! Imagine what you'd be like if you had dragon slayer magic!" Happy exclaimed.

"Yeah, I could probably catch you a lot of fish, because I'll be the water dragon slayer," Lucy responded, smiling at his excited expression.

"I can't even imagine how many fish!" He says, drooling at the image. A big bang inturupts their little moment.

Lucy looks at Laxus's fight, and see the take over mage sprawled on the ground knocked out. He's struggling with the master, who's sending puppets with weapons coated in deadly poison.

"Hey Happy, could you fly me up, so I'm above the master?"

"Aye sir!" He says lifting Lucy up, and carrying her over there.

"Lucy why are you so fat?" He complains.

"I'm not fat!" She snaps back. Once they're right above the master, she waits for an opening. The master didn't notice them, because he's focused on fighting Laxus.

A minute later, Lucy spots an opening. The master turns his back to her as Laxus moves away from him. She straightens her body and gets ready to aim her foot for his head.

"Drop me now!" She commands, and Happy realeases her.

She feels herself free falling, and hates the sinking pit in her stomach.

Her foot collides with the dark masters head, giving a sick crunch. He collapses onto his face, making all the puppets stop.

Laxus walks over to them, and Happy lands in Lucy's arms.

"Thanks for the help, Blondie. You did good," Laxus says, grinning at the knocked out mages.

"Thank you! But we still need to go in there and get the girls," Lucy replies, feeling proud of herself for not being a burden.

"Just let me tie them up first," Laxus says, before pulling out some magic restraining rope.

After all the mages are tied up, they venture into the guild.

"You check upstairs, and I'll go in the basement," Lucy says, before treading down the stairs into a dimly lit room.

It was styled like a dungeon, and smelled like mold. Lucy suddenly heard whimpering, and headed towards the sound.

There she saw two kids, one was about eleven with shoulder length sandy blond hair and blue eyes. The other was about five and had dark brown hair that was down to her lower waist and had dark blue eyes. The were holding each other, and crying.

Lucy felt it tug at her heart. Poor kids....

"Hello, I'm here to save you," Lucy said suddenly, startling them.

The older girl looked at her suspiciously, while the younger one hid behind her sister.

"I'm a wizard from Raging Blossoms, a guild. You're parents hired me to save you," She says showing them her guild mark.

"Owkay! Pwease take us home to mommy and daddy!" The younger one says, walking towards the cell door. Lucy spots the keys on a hook a little bit away, and unlocks the door.

Both girls seem about ready to collapse. She puts the eleven year old on her back, and carries the five year old in her arms.

"What's your name miss?" The older one asks.

"My name's Lucy. My partner Laxus, and my exceed friend Happy are upstairs," Lucy says.

"What are your names?" Lucy asks, walking up the stairs.

"My name's Stella, and that's my little sister Martha," The older girl, Stella responds.

"Lucy, you found them!" Happy says, coming towards them.

"Laxus, can you carry those disgusting dark mages?" Lucy asks, turning to Laxus. He nods and they walk out to the dark mages.

"God they're heavy. They must eat a lot..." Laxus says, scowling. He was dragging them, ignoring their grumbles of pain. We started walking towards town, to drop the dark mages off.

"Ugh, this is tiring!" Happy exclaims from his spot perched on Lucy's head.

"You're not even doing anything!" Lucy yells.

"I did plenty! I carried you around all day, and that's tiring!" Happy said cheekily.

"Hmph!" She grumbles.

After they dropped the mages off, Laxus took Martha out of Lucy's arms. She fell asleep about half way into the walk to the estate.

They eventually got to the estate, tired and hungry and ready to drop from exhaustion. They brought them to their parents and were touched by the heartwarming scene.

"My children!" Mary, the mother yelled, grabbing Martha from Laxus.

"Stella..." Tim, the father said, smiling at her.

"Hey Dad..." She muttered. He grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.

"Please...please never leave again. We were so worried," He says, nearly crying.

"I'm sorry, dad. These nice mages saved me though!" She exclaims tiredly, pointing at Lucy and Laxus.

"They did, didn't they..." He mumbles smiling at us.

"Honey, I'm going to get them cleaned up, fed, and to bed," Mary says, before pulling Stella from Tim.

"Please give them their reward," She continued.

He nods and pulls out the bag of jewels and puts it in Laxus's open hands.

"That's the 1 million jewels, and this, this is the lacrima," He says, pulling out a glowing blue ball, that was pulsing with magic pressure.

"Woah...." Lucy says.

To be continued...........
