The Outlaws

Waiting, what a good idea. Said no one ever. Why is everyone even freaking out? What kind of world is this where you are forced to wait? Senpai wondered as he tried folding his arms. His body just wouldn't work him in this world. Angered, he thought, stupid Pokémon world and their stupid body physics.

He didn't get it. Why would you be welcomed somewhere where there's villains who lurk around every corner. They really needed to fix their security.

Senpai glanced around, wondering if he was the only sort of Pokémon to be considered a civilian in this situation.

Ugh! It's a pain to stand here. Maybe I shouldn't have come here. I don't have anything I know about, or got used to. I might have been better off in that video game.

Senpai tried to tap his foot in annoyance. However, his body fell over and he started screaming in rage.

How dare his body fall over on him!

A sudden bloodcurdling scream made it's way into Senpai's earless head. Was it his head? His head was technically near his belly. Either way, Senpai was concerned.

If that black lizard and his yellow lizard son died out there the young Budew was sure he would be thrown out. He struggled to move to the door. He cursed and felt himself twitch slightly as he tried to open the door with his mouth—at least what he thought was his mouth; he still wasn't sure what it was.

He managed to open the door and waddled like hell out of the building. His eyes widened in horror. Bodies were littered in the streets. A few pairs of menacing eyes glared around as they searched for anything that moved.

Senpai immediately hid behind a stand nearby. A body of a strange green lizard with one red stripe was lying dead on the floor. Senpai almost gagged.

It wasn't like he had a choice anyways. He was new to whatever hell this world was.

A sudden flash quickly snuck next to him. "So, you decided to disobey orders and leave the building? You do realize the mess this town is in right now, right?" Eiginnte asked him.

"Yeah? And you just let me." Senpai responded as his eyes found their way onto a pair of claws. Two sets of long claws—four on each—were on a strange shrew's paws.

Eiginnte stared at him seriously. "Yeah? Well I was curious as well. Plus I can't have you dying on me already. We—the Squad just started to help you. Might as well make sure you don't die right away." The Indeedee responded with a monotone expression. He bent forward, patting Senpai on the back.

Senpai has to keep his anger and rage at bay. It was one of the many things keeping him from being a better person. Though, his rage at Boyfriend has subsided over the years.

"So what do we do then? Bodies are dropping like flies out there." Senpai informed.

The Indeedee rolled his eyes. "Obviously. Not that I really care much for most of those sorry saps who die. They all get tricked by that buffoon, Paarthurnax. I'm sure of it."

"What do you mean?" Senpai wondered. Why was this Pokémon pinning the blame on that black lizard? He seemed like an okay creature who wouldn't purposefully send Pokémon to their deaths, would he?

"I meant what I said. That black Charizard you've met is not as good of a leader as he could be. He only lets Starters into his squad for one. So powerful Pokémon such as Hydreigon aren't allowed in. It's an unfair system. I did hear he made certain Pokémon honorary members, but that's only if they do something that he deems worthy enough. Mostly stupid humans from other worlds."

Mostly humans from other worlds? What is this Indeedee talking about? Senpai wasn't expecting this sort of information dump on him like this.

"Hmm, okay. So you're saying this body count is normal?" Senpai wondered. The Budew knew he was insane—not to mention a Yandere , but to see such insanity was incredible.

"Indeedee it is—I mean 'indeed' it is." Eiginnte responded, clearing his throat a bit. His stature appeared butlerish. His head bowed with respect despite his face seeming uninterested.

Eiginnte then continued. He cleared his throat. "Anyways while we're at the topic, do you see those shadowy figures fighting Vesuvius?" The Indeedee inquired as his paw pointed in the direction of a few fighting Starters and a strange yellow shrew with a brown back and gray-white claws who was also fighting.

Next to the strange yellow shrew was a disco bird—Senpai had no idea how to describe her, but he was annoyed by how she was picking up random green starters before dropping them with a huge burst of laughter, a tan-or-white nine tailed fox who was burning a few strange blue fish-like creatures who were all screaming, and a weird looking bipedal pink-and-white Pokémon with two leaves and a stem; she seemed to be whacking Pokémon and knocking them back.

"Who are they?" Senpai wondered. He was curious.

"Oh, them? You probably have no idea what certain species of Pokémon are called. I'll explain. That strange yellow Pokémon is called Sandslash. That is Tudi. He's a really bad criminal."

"Two D? Like a video game?" Senpai wondered. The fact the Sandslash had a name that sounded like a digital world where Senpai was trapped in was a little odd.

Eiginnte shook his head. He didn't seem amused. "No. That's how it sounds, but it's T-u-d-i. Tudi. The white-tan nine tailed creature next to him is a Ninetales named Tisa."

"Tisa?" Senpai wondered. The name sounded a lot like the human name Lisa.

Eiginnte responded with a yes before continuing. "The Pokémon over there with red-and/green square spots is called a Togekiss. Although, Togekiss aren't usually like this no matter what."

"No matter what? Is there a special color that Togekiss are only supposed to be?"

"Essentially. But this Togekiss—she's called Witness; her parents must've hated her, is not the natural nor what we call the shiny variation of her Togekiss form. Normal Togekiss are red-and-blue spotted."

"And her?" Senpai wondered.

Although he wasn't really interested in the topic. He just wanted to know more about this world. And hopefully he could survive and find a way back into his own; he preferred being outside the video game though.

"Witness? Well her coloration I suppose could be a variant of what we call shiny." There was that word again.

"What's a shiny?" Senpai wondered in slight annoyance. He didn't know if he could ever go another second without knowing what this Pokémon knew. Or at least know more about this world than he's allowed currently.

It was like he was a child all over again and he hated it. Senpai hated not knowing this sort of thing. Just like he hated not knowing Boyfriend existed before falling for Girlfriend.

Eiginnte smirked. "Joyous variations of Pokémon. Most are shaded in a different color or shade of the same color a Pokémon already is."

Eiginnte pointed in a direction. "See that Charizard over there? He's reddish-orange, while our leader, Paarthurnax, is a more grayish-black. That's the difference. Most shinies are the same color or various shades of the same color. Most Pokémon are technically the exact same except for height, weight, and gender."

Senpai nodded uninterested. Although he was listening still.

And what's so different about, uhm, Witness?" Senpai asked. The male Indeedee shuddered, "Well, nothing. She's just neither shiny nor normal colored."

Isn't that...racist? Just because she's not a normal color, is that truly a good enough reason to fear her?

"And her?" Senpai wondered, the most curious about the strange plant-like creature. She looked like him. He didn't know why else he would be most interested in a strange humanoid plant.

Eiginnte put his hands on his hips. One left.

"Oh, the Steenee? She's new. I don't know when she started to show up, but one day she showed up alongside those outlaws. Her name is Anzu. Quite the refreshment in normal names now that I've told you about the other three."

This was all a good introduction to Senpai, but how was the starter squad going to beat all four if their members are being squashed like the vermin they might be hinted at being?

A loud scream broke through the mass of fighting Pokémon; it was a strange warrior-looking duck.

His chest had been pierced through with what appeared to be sharp razor leaves and seeds that stuck to his strange white-and-blue feathers. Even his hair seemed to be made out of feathers or some type of strange gel.

His blue eyes were wide with disbelief and the aquatic-looking bird clutched his chest while gurgling sounds came from the young duck's throat. He then kneeled down before collapsing. He twitched once then fell limp.

Senpai reeled back, flinching a bit. "Ugh," he commented as the Indeedee besides him just stared at the scene with little emotion. The Indeedee almost seemed to be in a trance-like state, bent down a little before straightening up to get out of his little 'trance.'

He clapped. "Welp, there goes another starter. Honestly I don't know how they keep on replacing them and there's definitely better Pokémon than that ridiculously irritating Quaxly anyways. Honestly, I'm thankful he's gone. Quite the character, but he wasn't to my taste. Well, hope he goes to the Distortion World."

Senpai ignored his harmful comments to ponder whether the strange duck warrior was even liked very much. Obviously not from the way Eiginnte portrayed him.

There was still one lingering question on his mind: "What kind of Pokémon is that duck?"

Eiginnte sighed as he facepalms in realization again. "We really need to educate you, man. That's a Quaxly. Not a very strong or heroic Quaxly like told in those dumb little fables, but a Quaxly. Nothing more nothing less."

Senpai gazed at Eiginnte with curiosity. "Shouldn't we help them?" Senpai wondered.

Eiginnte laughed. "No. We watch as they all die...of course we can help them." The Indeedee stared off towards his companion's fight. Senpai's 'eyes' followed.

It appeared the Scorbunny was fighting Tudi all on his own. He was somehow dodging every claw-and-pointer coming his way. The Sandslash had an everlasting moment of annoyance on his face.

Senpai could understand how annoying it was to beat someone who was just too good at what they do. He could feel a growl in his throat. Oh how he hated Boyfriend for brainwashing her.

Eiginnte continued to watch the battle, though Senpai wondered why he ignored him growling like such.

The Indeedee suddenly chuckled darkly as Kagis' foot drove itself against the villain's cheek.

A loud screech could be heard as the Sandslash's yellow cheeks turned red with rage. Tudi started lashing out, missing the egotistical Scorbunny who just yawned boredly as he seemingly continued slashing the air around him. His tiny-and-blue-size gave him an advantage over the bigger 'Mon. At least he was taller than Kagis, though he seemed smaller than the Ninetales besides him who seemed 1/3 taller than him. That, or she was just a bigger Ninetales.

Then, Senpai saw them—It's a strange mouse and....his? Yeah, I can't tell if that's a guy or a girl. Whoever they were, they were braving the villains in front of them like it was no big deal.

Why did they get to fight more than he did? They were just a child from their appearances, though they did have more bravado than some of their allies.

At that moment a strange green cat jumped off a cliff. "Fuck this shit, man. I'm out!" They exclaimed.

Who the fuck jumps off a cliff just because of a few stupid creatures? Just what kinds of fearsome foes have I found myself in midst battle of?

And that was when a flash of yellow-and-green knocked him down on the ground. He yelped in slight shock before scrambling, and stumbling a bit due to his current situation.

He turned to meet the Pokémon who ran him over with anger in his eyes. "What the hell!" He exclaimed, feeling his bud opening up more than usual—or more than he realized it could. He was blinded with rage, but then his expression changed to one of horror.

What were they doing here? Forget, Boyfriend. These two were much worse than the Boyfriend who stole Girlfriend away from him. Not to mention how he beat the most perfect being out there, bring him.

"You—" he began before being demonically thrown against a shop nearby that somehow remained intact until now. Senpai couldn't move. He was restricted.

"You!" The male voice boomed with a loud voice, eyes red and filled with hatred towards the little Budew. "I knew it was you. You had such an annoyingly perfect appearance to your dumb plant face. Ugh."

Senpai didn't have the patience or time for this. Why did such a perfect AI like him have to struggle so?

Either way he had a whole new problem to deal with, and that was the strange red-eyed yellow-brown rat and the strange root with red eyes. Both of which he knew personally, even if he couldn't see their normal form. And it was far worse than he as an AI was.

Author's Note: I know that I'm probably going to get a couple things from the actual game wrong, and please bear with me as I feel like it would just be more interesting to portray certain characters in a certain way even though that might not be true to the actual canon.

I won't try to stray super far from canon, but I'm going to try to write this how I feel like writing it without trying to stray so far.

Anyways let me know if you enjoyed this. I will let you know that the Pokémon he encountered there are Bellsprout and a Kantonian Raichu just so you know. And yes they're familiar characters within the FNF canon.

Thanks for reading! Much more lore and characters from the game to come! ❤️
