Ash's POV

I zipped up my coat as I walked outside. On the side of the building, just like every other building or store there was a battle field. Trees surrounded it with a pathway on one of the sides. A bench on each side, behind the box that the battlers stand in. In the middle were Sawyer and Clemont chatting, with Sawyer's Pokemon playing around behind them.

" Shall we see what you got? " I asked when I got close enough for them to hear me.

" You bet! " Sawyer exclaimed, stepping out of his conversation with Clemont.

" I'll wait until your done! " Clemont said and made his way off to the side.

" So, who's first? " I questioned while looking at his team, getting loud,excited cheers as a response.

Max's POV

" Come look at this! " I yelled at everyone else.

We were all talking with each other in our room, when I looked outside and saw Ash and some dark green haired kid that I know I saw before. I think he was at the beginning ceremony, when they were introducing people and the rules.

Everyone crowded around the window trying to look out at the battle field.

Pikachu was blocking incoming attacks with iron tail, his opponent was, Aegislash. Ash and the other trainer seemed to chatting a lot during this, it seems that this wasn't a battle.

Well if they aren't battling then I guess I'll challenge Ash myself. I'll show him just how strong I am, we've been training a lot since we got beat by that Bonnie girl.

" I'm gonna go challenge him! " Misty shouted and grabbed her jacket and Pokeballs.

" No fair, I want too! " I whined.

" Snooze you lose! " She smirked, stuck her tongue out and left out the door.

" Well, I'm gonna go watch her lose. " Tracy commented and calmly walked out the door.

" That's really rude, Tracy! " Dawn called after him.

" Tell someone who cares, Ms. Never had a date. " He yelled back.

Everyone else grabbed a jacket or coat of some kind and followed the others outside. We caught up to Misty who was ahead of the group, Dawn and Tracy were just giving each other death stares.

" ASH! I CHALLENGE YOU TO A BATTLE! " Misty yelled, getting their attentions.

Both trainers and their Pokemon stared at us. Ash looked at us with an expression that said ' What the fuck? ' .

Ash's POV

What the fuck? Why is Misty asking me to battle her? Oh yeah, I forgot, they're idiots.

I looked at Sawyer, he nodded his head in approval that it was ok to stop and take her challenge.

" Ok, I accept? " I declared, still unsure if I really should.

" Hey aren't you Sawyer? " Brock asked.

" Yup " He replied and walked twords Clemont, not wanting to carry out a conversation with them.

" Alright, is a 1 on 1 battle ok? " Misty asked as she stood on her side of the field.

I just shrugged my shoulders and replied with, " It's your funeral "

"Whatever, let's go Gyarados " She shouted, throwing a pokeball out onto the field.

The large Pokemoon let out a roar as it appeared.

" Pikapi, pika ka pi chu pika chu chu pikachu " Pikachu exclaimed waving his arms in the air, trying to get my attention.

" You sure? " I asked.

" Pi pikachu." He nodded.

" Alright then, return. " I said as Pikachu hopped onto my shoulder.

" Your not battling with Pikachu? " Misty asked.

" Well, you still have battles tomorrow, so we can't take pleasure in wiping your team out. " I sighed and pressed some buttons on my watch.

" But your still gonna battle me, right?! "She questioned.

" Yup "

A bright light shined from the watch and a figure appeared onto the field shouting its name.

" Wow! " Misty exclaimed. " Is that a water type? "

" Yup " I replied. " Its names is Greninja. "

" I'm guessing its native to the Kalos region? " She asked.

" Your're right, Pikachu thought it'd be a good idea to battle with him instead. " I informed her.

" Well lets get to it then! Gyarados, use crunch! "

Gyarados sprung forward in the direction of his opponent, its teeth glowing.

" Double team. " Greninja nodded his head in response.

In a split second hundreds copies of the frog like Pokemon surrounded the dragon like Pokemon. Gyarados closed his teeth on the nearest copy, but it wasn't the real one.

" Aerial ace "

The copies disappeared, Gyarados spun around looking for his opponent, but it wasn't there.

" Huh? Where is i- " Misty was cut off by her Pokemon crying out in pain.

Greninja came out of nowhere and began to repeatedly hit and kick the opposing water type.

" Gyarados! " Misty cried out to her Pokemon, seeing as it was ready to continue with the battle she gave another command. " Use hydro pump! "

Her Pokemon opened its mouth and shot out water that was perfectly aimed directly at Greninja.

" Cut. Is this all you got? " I asked Misty as Greninja sliced right though their attack.

" We're just getting started! " She yelled.

" Pika pikachu pi, Pikapi. " Pikachu whispered into my ear.

" Alright then. " I smirked at our opponents who just took a step back in fear, while Clemont and Sawyer just let out a sigh.

Greninja turned around to face me and nodded, understanding what was next.

" I'm afraid we'll have to cut this short "

" No way, I'm winning this thing! " She shouted. "Get ready to use hyper beam! "

" We'll become much, much stronger! Let's go! " I yelled.

Normal POV

Greninja's eyes glowed a bright red before a spiral of water surrounded the Pokemon. When the shield of water died down, Greninja stood there looking a bit different compared to before.

What appeared to be a water shuriken was attached to the back of the Pokemon, some sort of black spikes stood out on the side of its head, a small red lightning shape on each side.

" Now! " The orange haired girl shouted.

Her Pokemon shot out a powerful beam that cleared most of the battle field in it's path. The other water type canceled the attack with a spiral of water forming around it once again.

" Alright Ash-greninja! Crush that bitch! " A voice yelled from the sidelines.

Bonnie jumped up and down in excitement, Clemont faceplamed at his sister's choice of words.

" A-amazing.... " The professor whispered under his breath.

" H-hydro pump once more! " Misty shouted to her Pokemon.

" Use it. " Ash commanded, trusting his fist up into the air.

Once again Gyarados shot out a spray of water right at Greninja, although this time Greninja was able hop on the top of the water and propelled itself upwards.

" Crunch! " Misty pointed at their target.

Gyarados used it tail to push itself off the ground, into the air after Greninja. It's teeth were glowing as it got closer.

" Double team. " Ash gave another command, which Greninja responded to immediately.

More copies compared to last time filled the area, both in the sky and on the ground. Unable to do much more Gyarados chomped down on the closest copy, it disappeared as the large Pokemon fell back down to the ground.

" Water shuriken! " The raven haired trainer yelled, making movements that his Pokemon followed in suit.

The copies vanished leaving one behind that was high up in the air. reaching behind it, it pulled out the shuriken and held it upwards for a moment as it increased in size. Once ready, the Pokemon swung it down at it opponent waiting on the ground.

After the dust settled, Gyarados laid on the ground with swirls in it's eyes. Misty returned her Pokemon and put it's pokeball back in her bag. As she looked up she saw that the field was cleared, with the exception of her friends and Tracy that waited along the side.

With the cold wind blowing through their hair and past the trees, they made their way back inside to the rooms. with a quick stop at the Pokemon center, of course.

Sorry I haven't updated lately. I had some test at school as well as a couple appointments this week. Apparently I need to get glasses, but I have to wait a week before I actually can get them. One flipping week with everything blurry, wonderful. Do you know how hard it is to play a song on an instrument when you can't see what your suppose to do?! At least I have an excuse for getting bad marks!
