When I woke up, we were driving on a narrow road along a large lake. It was mid-afternoon about now, and the sun made it look like we were at a tropical paridise, but we were only in Northern Michigan. Now that I think about it, this is the farthest north I have ever been in my life.
There were no other cars driving beside us on the road, so it was great we got privacy after all we have been through. Finally, no more big cities and thousands of screaming girls.
The song changes on my phone. Grade 8 by Ed Sheeran immediately fills up my ears. This is one of my all time favorite songs, to be honest. I have a weird taste in music, I know.
Not a lot of people know about Ed Sheeran in America, but for me he is one of my favorite artists. It would be a dream to see him in concert.
A pair of warm arms wrap around my waist, startling me. I unplug my earbuds from my ears, and look up to see who it is. When I see that it was Harry, I immediately lean up and kiss him. He smiles, his dimples popping out.
" Miss me?" Harry commented, pulling me closer into his muscular chest, both of us looking out the window into the beautiful scenery outside. I wondered if this so-called 'Fester Boat Works' was as beautiful as this; I'm hoping we're close to it by now. By the looks of how low the sun is in the sky, I was probably asleep for atleast three hours.
" I always miss you, even if you're gone for five minutes," I laugh, realizing how cheezy that sounded. It was true, though, even if I'm afraid to admit it or not.
I turn around in my seat, and looked in the tour bus. The red and black theme made it look a bit boutique-y, but I never noticed how cool it looked until now. This part of the bus was the only place you could sit down and relax in the whole place, so I kind of claimed it as my own. The seats had a wavy red and black leather design etched on its leather surface, and the walls were pitch black. It gave the whole bus a cool, modern look.
I turn back around and look up at Harry, who is still admiring the scenery.
" Are we there yet?" I ask him, just like an annoying little kid. I am kind of tired of being cooped up on this bus. We have probably been in here more than anything else this summer.
" Yeah, we have, like, fifteen minutes," He says, smirking for some unknown reason. He wraps his right arm over my shoulder, and moves a strand of hair out of my face, just like he always does. I can't help but smile.
" Welcome to the great white North, Tara."

" Do you mind getting some orange juice?" Liam asks me, pointing to the fridge in which it's located. I just nodded my head, my actions answering the question. I walk over to it and open the glass-door fridge, making cool air replace the warm.
This grocery strore is quite small. If you look, you can see the whole entire store from end to end. It's right in town, so I guess it makes sense thats it's miniscule. What was it's name again? Oh, yeah. Bison's.
We were all walking down the aisle, ready to get checked out when two men came up to us. One had stick-thin hair with some gray spots by the ears, a bright green golf shirt, and faded black plaid shorts. The other guy was taller than the first, and he had more hair. He was wearing khaki shorts, and a t-shirt that said 'Fester Boat Works'.
" Hey! Your One Direction, right?" The second guy asked a little too loud.
" Yes, we are!" Liam said just as excitedly. I never understand how he can always keep his temper no matter who he talks to. It's quite amazing, actually.
" Our daughters are going to the concert next weekend. They are huge fans of you guys." The second guy said, over-exagerrating the huge.Well, that's a relief. I thought they were the fans. That would be a little weird.
" More like obsessed," The first guy muttered under his breath. So what do these guys want exactly?
" So, what are your names?" Louis asks sceptically. Weird question. It's Louis, after all... He always asks the weirdest questions of the group, for sure.
" I'm Kenny," The shorter guy said, " And this is Steve," Kenny said, gesturing to Steve. These guys seem fun, even though they both look very sunburnt and atleast 50 years old.
" Hey! We are going on a sunset cruise out in Lake Michigan tonight, you wanna tag along?" Kenny asked out of the blue. He seems nice all of a sudden. I have always loved going on boats, so it sounded great. But these guys still seem a little wishy-washy. Should we trust them?
" Sure! We would love to! We're staying at Fester also!" Niall declaimed, jumping to the front of the group. I guess we do trust them, then.
" Awesome. Does 9 sound good?" Kenny asked.
" Yeah. Sounds great. Thank you lads for the invite!" Liam said, smiling uncontrollably.
" You're very welcome. They will be so excited to meet you!" Steve countered. I think back to the time when I first met the boys. I smiled to myself, thinking that I was the luckiest girl in the world. And for a lot of people, I really was. I'm absolutely grateful, more than anything in the world.
" See you at 9!" Louis shouts as we part our separete ways of the grocery store.
Once we got all our groceries, we got in line for checkout. All of us had on tinted sunglasses (mangement's rules.). We looked funny, but it's better than getting mobbed; that's for sure.
We piled our ginormous load of groceries on the conveyor belt for the cashier to scan. We did have five guys (one that never stops eating, as I have observed,), and two girls that need food for an entire weekend. I didn't think it was too much until I saw the price.
" That will be $201.55, please," The cashier says proudly. I almost choked on my Evian water. That much for just the weekend?!
" I got it," Harry declares as he takes his credit card out of his skinny jeans pocket. I couldn't let him pay for all of that.
" Here," I offered and put my credit card that I had in my pocket in his hand. " Let me pay for some."
He smiled slightly and gave mine back to me. " It's fine, babe. No worries," He assured me as he swiped the card on the machine attatched.
I still felt terribly bad. He had to pay for all of those groceries on his own. It didn't feel fair.
With all of us carrying atleast three bags each, we departed from Bison's and walked out to the parking lot where the Yukon XL that took us from the condo to here was located. Everything right now reminds me of those first days. I remember when we went to Nandos for lunch, and we got mobbed. I remember when we ran to the other side of town and got lost in the wilderness. I remember when Simon Cowell came to pick us up, and I was so starstruck to even say anything. I remember it all.
That was also the first time me and Harry actually had a proper conversation. Now that I think about it, that moment in the past was probably the first time I realized I actually had feelings for Harry.
We all settled in for the extremely long car ride back. In about twenty seconds, we were back at the large white condo building.

" Room 45, Kenny said," Zayn remarked as we opened the door that leads to the second floor. The door was right on the right.
Niall knocked loudly, and I could hear voices from inside.
" Shannon, stop hyperventilating! you're going to freak them out," A younger girl said.
" Ahh! I can't help it! Mom, get the door," Another girl said, her voice squeaking at the last part. I could hear music playing from a stereo. I recognized the song: Robin Thicke I think.
The door slowly opened, and a lady with short blonde poofy hair stood right inside.
" Hi!" Her face instantly lit up. " Come on in!" She said as she opened the door to let us in. She seems really nice.
Inside the condo was almost the same as ours, just smaller. It was a long and narrow condo, with a bedroom closest to the back, and a living room at the front. There was a balcony, also, but this one was closer to the ground; seeing as this condo is on the second level and ours is on the third.
Kenny wasn't there, but there were two girls standing by the dining table. One had long brown hair and glasses who looked more annoyed than excited. The other girl was taller. She had long wavy strawberry blonde hair, just like Chloe's, and a pink sweatshirt. She looked me right in the eyes, and I looked back and smiled. She started doing what many of our fans do: 'fangirl' they call it. She was fangirling, to say the least. She had an enormous smile on her face, and she was as red as a tomato. I have no idea why girls do that just when they see me, but I was glad that I could make her be like that. She looked extremely excited.
" Okay!" The blonde lady spoke up. " Banan, introduce yourself." She says, talking to the beautiful girl with the strawberry blonde hair. Her face got even redder when the blonde lady (who I was guessing was her mom; I didn't think that just anyone would call her banan.) called her banan.
" Well," She started, and I could tell that she was trying really hard not to freak out. " I'm Shannon, and I am a huge fan." She smiled, and I saw that she had braces. Her face stayed red.
" Hi," We all said in unison, smiling back to her. She waved, and as she did, her face color was turning back to normal. That was good; that probably means she was getting used to the fact that we are right in her condo.
" And you are.. how old?" Her mom asked, but the answer was for us. She looked about thirteen or fourteen, but I could be wrong.
" Fifteen," Shannon answered, smiling at the ground. She must be insecure about her age, but I think it is perfect. She fiddled with something on her wrist, and when I looked closer, I saw it was an infinity bracelet. Tara had an infinity bracelet, and it looked just like that. I smiled, thinking of Tara. I am so lucky to have her as my girlfriend.
" And this is Rachel, Shannon's sister," The mom smiled. " And I'm Maurita."
We nodded. So where is Kenny?
" You have a nice condo here," Niall commented, looking around at the filled walls. It was quite small, but it seemed cozy and perfect for Shannon, Rachel, and Maurita. There were many things that had to do with boats, so I was guessing they liked to boat a lot. The view explains it all; It was extraordinary.
From then on, we shared small talk with the girls and their mom. Me and Niall drifted over to Shannon, while Liam and Louis talked with Rachel, and Zayn ended up with Maurita.
" So how are you Shannon?" I asked as I walked over to her with Niall following me behind. I give her a quick hug, which is usually what we do with our fans when they meet us. I could hear and feel her heart beating out of her chest.
" I'm great," She answers after we hugged. " But my mind still can't process that you're actually here. Are you real?"
I chuckled softly. " Yes, I'm real love. The real Harry."
She smiled once again. I like this girl. She seemed nervous, but excited at the same time.
Niall came by my side and went in to hug Shannon also. " I like your name. It's Irish," Niall awknowledged as he laughed, which made us all laugh. It seems like everything he says always comes back to Ireland. It's quite funny actually.
" Hey, can I get your autograph?" Shannon asks me eagerly.
" Of coarse, love." I answer as she goes to get something out of her bag. She pulls out what I recognize as the Best Song Ever single CD. I smile, glad that she likes our music. Shannon brings the CD over to me, along with a black Sharpie, and another piece of paper. I quickly scribble my signature on the CD, then take the paper out from under it. I decide that I am going to write her a little note.
I sit down at the miniature two-person bar beside me, and start to write my note. When I am finished, I quickly look it over.
Shannon,
Thank you for all your support!
You are so nice and beautiful. Hopefully
we will meet again.
Lots of love,
Harry x
Smiling, I stood up from my seat and went to give it to her. I saw that she was over with Rachel, talking to Liam. I overheard her conversation.
" How are you? You alright?" Liam asks Shannon, giving her an embracing hug.
" I'm good. Can you sign this, Liam?" She asks, holding the CD and the Sharpie in her hands. I wondered why she didn't give him a note like she did me. Maybe I'm her favorite or something.
" Sure!" He answers and swipes the tiny plastic square from Shannon's hands. He scribbled his signature right next to mine, and smiles as he gives it back to her.
" Thank you Liam!" She says excitedly, hugging her happily. She turns around to see me, and grins as she sees the note in my hand. She comes closer as I hand her the note. Shannon reads it, smiling ear to ear. Shannon looks back up at me and this time she was the one who gave me the hug.
" This means the world to me. I can't thank you enough," She says as we pull away, her eyes gleaming. She looks on the verge of tears (Of joy, I'm hoping,).
" You're welcome." I beamed at her. Usually fans always made me happy, but Shannon had an even more positive effect than most fans. I couldn't describe it.
I heard a ding coming from the corner. Maurita ended her conversation to go pick it up, which made us all quiet down. A dim light shined on her face as she unlocked her pink Galaxy S3.
" Kenny's waiting for us down at the boat!" She exclaimed. " Along with Steve, his two girls, and those two beautiful girls that you brought with,"
The five of us headed for the door, following Shannon and Rachel. The glass door opened with a squeak, and we all entered the small and narrow hallways. Everything here seems small for some reason.
" Follow us," Shannon declares as she turns around to face us. " We better get there before the sun goes down. Come on!"
We continue to walk down the halls, then down a carpeted flight of stairs. Next, we were outside. It was much colder then when we first arrived. It's amazing how fast the temperature drops as night gets closer to reality. I put my hands in my pockets as I stare at the clear night sky.
It's a great night for a sunset cruise.
