The start of something new

After the clear message that things were through between the boys, Kevin still tried to patch things up only to find out he was blocked....a nice insult to injury. He was able to replace his bike and he obviously did not even dare to press charges. He claimed he had no clue, even Nazz believed that lie. He sighed looking down at the ring he worked so hard to pay for before placing it back in his bedside drawer "Edd....dork....my dork....my former dork." He sighed, this really did hurt after all even though he -knew- he deserved it.

One year. 365 days. Endless memories. All thrown away because of Kevin's stupidity. When did things change? When did Kevin change? Rolling with the punches in life and deciding he doesn't actually want to be alone, made the choice of him flocking over to Nazz so much easier.

"A proper date?" The blonde asked with a quirked brow along with a small grin. Finally, she could have him. She had imagined this day since the moment they met but there was always one thing in the way...with this thought, the corners of her mouth drop. "What about that person you were seeing?" She asked. Her right hand was then gently grasped and lifted to Kevin's lips as he pressed a soft kiss to her knuckles. "What person? I only want to be seeing you." He said smoothly, causing Nazz to blush a deep shade of red. "W-where to then, stud." She managed to breathe out with a slight stutter.

Nazz squealed as Kevin pulled up to an arcade. "How did you even know?!" She said nearly jumping off the bike before it even stopped. Kevin chuckled pulling off his helmet and placing an arm around her. "I may have seen you here a few times while riding around the town." He said, when in all reality he followed her around a few times so he would know what she likes. This might have seemed small but to Nazz something like this meant the world to her. She might not seem like it but honestly, she can be a little bit of a nerd;  one of those overly hot ones too but for the most part she tries to hide it. Finally, someone was actually willing to see the real her, "Wanna play?" She asked the ginger with a wide smile.

After quite a few rounds of some sci-fi shooting game Nazz throws her hands in the air in victory once again. "Ha! Suck it loser!" She teased before blushing. "I mean...good game." The blonde said trying to go back to her girly side. Kevin chuckled taking a good look at the attractive woman by his side. She was older than him but only by a few years so the youthful gleam in her eyes made him blush back and grasp at the back of his neck. "You're pretty good at these games."   He said with a nervous chuckle. He had to admit, this was the most fun he's had in a while. "Would you like to get some ice cream?" He asked wanting to keep this night going, of course she agreed.

After the pair grabbed their cold treat they sat in the parlor. Even though Kevin now lived in a town that lacked snow, it was still chilly. Kevin met Nazz's beautiful blue eyes and she blushed with a small giggle. After a moment of eye contact her smile dropped however since something has been on her mind all night. "Are you....are you really over your ex?" She asked, fearful of the response. The question caught the ginger off guard but he decided that now was finally the time for him to become honest. "No." He replied. Nazz smiled, which threw Kevin off, wasn't she supposed to be...sad? "Thank you for at least being honest about it, let's not rush things then." Those words that came out of the blonde's mouth made Kevin's heart skip a beat. She really understood, she understood him. This was off to a good start, the start of something new.
