Damn you look good and I'm drunk
Edd had seen all the pathetic attempts that his now former lover calls 'apologies' as he then blatantly ignored them. This had to stop, he didn't want to be reminded of his past. His finger hovered over the block button before sealing their fates by pressing it. Finally, freedom. He felt a little guilty for what he had done to Kevin's bike but in all honesty he had it coming. There was one thing he was feeling though and that was loneliness. He secluded himself off for so long so he could focus on his studies, he hadn't even had a night out since he arrived at university! Enough was enough he needed to get his mind off of everything so he messaged one of his classmates, a sweet brunette with a whole lot of friends. Her name isn't important but what is important is where she brought him.
"I-I think I changed my mind, I want to go home." The small Raven said as they walked into a frat house packed to the brim with drunk students. "I think not!" Edd's friend giggled before literally shoving him towards a large group of jocks. Edd stumbled but composed himself as he nervously looked up to the intimidating, older, college kids in front of him. "G-Greetings fellow classmates!" He said nervously with an awkward hand gesture. The group of guys stopped their conversation to look the nerdy freshman up and down. Finally, the tension was broken when they all busted out with laughter and handed Edd a beer. "Have fun, kid." One of the bulky football players said before Edd awkwardly walked away.
Edd was nervous, so nervous. He never even thought he would be at a party like this, let alone be basically alone since he's already been abandoned. One beer turned into several quickly and before he knew it, he was rushing to find a bathroom. He was running and stumbling into tons of people before he completely crashed into a tall muscular body. "Woah man, you okay?" The stranger asked the Raven. Edd looked up to meet blue green eyes. "Yes I am-" he had to cut himself off as he threw up directly on this strangers shoes. Instead of getting angry however this fellow student looked concerned. "Come on, let's get cleaned up." He said as he helped Edd to the nearest restroom.
"My name is Zach." The former stranger said as he cleaned off his shoes with a paper towel. "I'm Edd and my apologies about your shoes." The Raven said looking at the guy before him. He was tall and well built he had short dark brown hair and a smile that could kill, just like someone else he used to know. The smile was too much so Edd looked away awkwardly. "Still feeling sick?" Zach asked noticing the sudden change in mood. "No, I'm actually much better now..." The Raven mumbled so low the other man didn't even hear him. Instead of just asking Edd to repeat himself Zach tilted Edd's chin up towards him. "Sorry, didn't catch that." He said as he looked directly down into Edd's eyes. This gesture made the poor dork turn bright red as his brain scrambled to find words. "I-I-I said I am fine!" This reaction made the brunette chuckle before he removed his hand. "Good. Let me walk you home then."
How did it even end up like this? Edd was going out only to maybe meet some new friends but here he was with this attractive male who's done nothing but take care of him all night. He was nervous and he could feel his heart racing...he's felt this before. Before he could think too much into it, they stopped in front of his dorm. Edd honestly wanted to see Zach again and thank him properly but he didn't know how to ask....luckily for him however, the brunette did. "How about some breakfast tomorrow you'll need it to get you through the hangover you're about to have." Zach said as if it were the most natural thing to say. All Edd could do was nod in response. "I'll need your phone number then." Zach said holding out his hand for the other's phone. Edd handed it over awkwardly before Zach typed his number in before passing Edd his own phone then switching back. "See ya." He said waving off the Raven before disappearing into the night.
Edd sobered up and laid in shock in his bed. "Was that even real? Who was that? What happened? Is tomorrow a date? Is it too soon to date?" He questioned just before his phone went off with a buzz. The Raven froze for a moment before looking at the blinding light of the phone revealing a message:
Zach: tomorrow, 10am the student cafe. Can't wait to get to meet the real you.
Edd had no clue what that meant but what he did know was that for the first time in a long time he had something to look forward to.
