"Here, I'll put a small family tree to help go along with my explaination.

Lionblaze (before he became leader) had kits with a she-cat named Bristleleaf (thats why he asked about her when he came back).

They had a daughter named Lionkit (Bristleleaf named her Lionkit to remember Lionstar) when he left with Jayfeather on their Starclan journey. Lionkit became Lionpelt and Bristleleaf had died of old age.

Lionblaze/star + Bristleleaf had Lionpelt

Lionpelt + Vineclaw had Runningwish, Voleeye and Goldensky

As shown in our current chapters, Lionblaze (now Lionstar) had met a she-cat named Rose. They had a child named Cheetahkit.

Lionstar + Rose had Cheetahstep
