CHAP 12: AMARYLLIS
Jungkook wouldn't have imagined in his wildest dreams, one day he would be standing in a flower store staring at the flowers he had no idea about. Yet here he was, standing at one of the stores staring at the exotic flowers chosen by his girl.
"Which one do you think would be good?" Y/n asked, as they roamed around taking a view at pastel flowers. He sighed in annoyance for the hundredth time in the last fifteen minutes.
"I still don't get why you need to gift Taehyung anything?"
"Because he's your best friend not mine. And I can't visit him on his birthday party empty handed."
He scoffed. " I don't get the point of wasting tons of money on flowers. Too materialistic and unreal."
"Has anyone ever gifted you flowers?" She grinned, asking him while her eyes wondered at the orchids and lilies that she thought would be a perfect match to gift.
"No. Thankfully. I don't do flowers and diamonds anyways." He groaned again, feeling bored and perforated.
"Well then, Mr Jeon." She interrupted, grabbing him by his arm. "I hope I can be your first in this one." Her fingers delicately tucked the pink coloured amaryllis in his chest pocket.
"Y/n, what are you-"
"Shh.." she placed her finger on his soft lips that she wanted to kiss so bad. "Let it stay there for a while. I know it feels foreign but atleast let it stay there. If you don't like it, you can throw it away. I won't force you, I promise."
His heart thumped so fast, he felt he was hyper ventilating. It was such a sweet, simple gesture. But that one moment made him shiver for the first time. It was pure, no seduction, only care.
"Well.." he cleared his throat, taking a step back to finally breath. "..what's this flower anyways? Haven't seen it here."
"It's Amaryllis. Well it is said that a shy maiden named Amaryllis fell in love with a shepherd by the name of Alteo, who was graced with the strength of Hercules and the beauty of Apollo. Amaryllis, obviously head over heels for Alteo , dressed in white and patiently waited outside Alteo’s door for thirty nights. Alteo fell in love with her the moment he discovered her outside his door, surrounded by beautiful amaryllis flowers. And so, amaryllis became a symbol of strength, determination, honesty and ethereal beauty."
"Hmm.." he hummed, while they walked through the rows. "You're all about love and love stories, aren't you?"
Her eyes twinkled. "Yeah. That's what I have grown up reading."
She stepped closer. Her eyes fell on his plush lips. His gaze followed hers. He didn't want to dishearten her but he couldn't kiss her as well.
"Y/n.." he called her out. "Since you have gifted me this as a symbol depicting honesty. I have a confession to make."
"What?"
"I don't kiss. I can't kiss."
Her eyes fell down, and she took a step back, but he quickly averted her back into his arms.
"I am sorry. I should have told to you this earlier."
"No." She shook her head. "That's absolutely fine. But do you like have germophobia?"
His lips dissolved into laughter, his voice ringing in the aisles. "Ahh, baby." He brushed her cheeks. "It's nothing like that. Kissing is just my, to speak in your words, my hard limit."
"Well if that's your hard limit then, you have my words. I wouldn't ever force you to do something you don't want to. I am happy with whatever part of yourself, you are offering to me. As long as it is complete, I don't mind it."
Her words bought solace to his wandering thoughts.
God help him.
God help them both.

The beach was lit with fairy lights. She had been a water baby all her life and there was nothing about the beach that she disliked. They walked together to the entrance while their hands itched to hold each other's.
"You guys are here." Taehyung and Sohee greeted them as they walked together.
Sohee instantly pulled her into a bone crushing hug, the one she would always do.
Y/n excused herself, looking at the birthday boy beaming at them. "Happy birthday, Taehyung." She handed him the bouquet of white lilies and blue orchids.
"Thanks, Y/n. They're beautiful." He sniffed in the natural fragrance of the flower.
"Congratulations on wasting another year of your life." There came the birthday wish by Jungkook, making everyone crack up in smile.
They took a while as the four of them chatted, things out of business that was a new dimension to their friendship.
They spoke about food, their childhood memories, pulling eachother's leg until a throttle gained their attention.
When they looked back, Sohee and Y/n gasped in surprise while the men frowned looking at the curly haired boy that stood behind them.
Taehyung and Jungkook’s eyes widened when they saw their girls running towards him to tackle him in a hug.
He was Ivan. Their another friend, who had left South Korea three years back but was back in town for his further studies. Now their legendary trio was finally back to have fun.
Jungkook’s eyes narrowed, as Y/n let out a heartfelt laugh, laughing at Ivan's words that were too inaudible for him to understand. He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, his mind and body fighting to hold him back.
"Do you know this guy?" Jungkook asked the birthday boy whose state was no different, while Ivan hugged Sohee.
"I have no idea. Might be some client's son. But I am not liking him at all."
"Count me in." Jungkook grimaced.
—--------------------------------
Dinner was served a few minutes later beneath a canopy in the private area at the beach. Most of the guests had left the party, leaving only the close mates at the dining table.
Candles glowed and flickered over the white coloured linen. Fragrant platters of rich fish, lobsters , crabs, salads and chicken served the table with a light music of violin and drums playing in the background.
Y/n, Sohee and Ivan swayed their shoulders together as they enjoyed their meal. She tried the hardest to ignore Jungkook’s penetrating gaze that flickered across the table. But no matter how hard she decided to not look his way, she ended up staring in his eyes, drawn by his magnetic presence.
She could sense something wasn't right between them right after the moment he didn't stop Sohee from pulling her by her side. He hadn't spoken much to her throughout the party, making her wonder if she made any mistake.
That being said, she took a moment to admire him. He looked incredible in white polo shirt and navy blue pants. She couldn't help staring at the sharp angles of his face, his wide shoulders and his veiny arms. His virility assaulted her senses leaving her breathless and aching at the places she never had an ache before.
Everytime she would glance across the table, she would already find him staring at her already, his midnight eyes glittering her with possessive hunger that made her feel branded.
The things between them were dangerous and the lust was out of the books. The kind of lust that would tempt them to do something utterly stupid, reckless and dangerous.
"I think I should move the candle away from your way."
Y/n snapped out of her trance, looking away from Jungkook and giving her attention to Sohee who sat beside her.
"Hmm? You said something?"
"I said." Sohee repeated, her dark eyes glittering with amusement. "I should move the candle out of your way before you and my brother set your own fire here. Everyone on the table might have noticed the way you have been staring at each other, giving bedroom eyes."
Her face flamed, reaching for her mocktail, she said "There's nothing like that."
"Yeah of course." Sohee laughed.
As Y/n sipped on her drink, Sohee asked her speculatively. "Did something happen between you and Jungkook while you guys reached here?"
Y/n shook her head quickly. "No. He picked me up, we stopped by the flower store for a few minutes and drove here. Nothing of that sort."
Lie. A big fat lie.
Jungkook had barged her bedroom, had fun teasing her all the while he read her journal and fingered her while she had to churn back her moans, to prevent herself from screaming. If that wasn't enough, he managed to titilate her in a crowdy shop to prevent her from paying.
Absolutely nothing happened between them.
Sohee sighed, the sound breaking into Y/n's riverie. "Too bad."
"Too bad what?"
"Too bad nothing happened between the two of you." Sohee grinned, snacking away the last peice of chicken from Y/n's plate and pulling it in her mouth. "But there's always a possibility."
When Jungkook suddenly looked at Y/n she could see a devilish smirk stretching at his lips as if he had heard whatever they spoke. A rush of heat flooded her loins.
As they stared at each other, she realised that the only way to cut this tension between them tonight was to push him to her bed and not allow him to leave all night.
"May I have everybody's attention, please?"
Silence fell over the table, as Taehyung's father stood up with a champagne flute, staring at his wife with a broad smile plastered on his face.
"Today I feel the happiest man on this planet. Being married to the woman of my dreams and having raised a wonderful son like Taehyung, I don't think there would be anyone as fortunate as me." He bent down to kiss his wife while everyone cheered. "I know I don't speak a lot about how happy I am to have both of you in my life. I have been blessed to serve the roles of a husband and a father, all thanks to my gorgeous wife who made me better at every stage of my life. If there would be a fairytale in real life I could proudly say it would be mine."
While everyone clapped and cheered, a lone tear fell from Y/n's eye without her knowledge. This was the kind of love she read in books. The one that she wanted her parents too have. Too bad, her father broke her dream forever. While she looked across, she found Mr Jeon staring at the couple with misty eyes. She didn't really know a lot about their mother. All that she heard from Sohee was that she never saw her after she gained her senses. But looking at the way, Mr Jeon's face was pulled down in a remorseful expression she could feel his relationship didn't give him peace either.
"And Taehyung my son.." Mr Kim's voice bought everyone back to attention. "..I would have never been more proud than I am today. You made me a father. The word I would admire for the most in my life. You're an excellent son, a hardworking colleague and an immaculate mate. But eventhough I won't pressurize you, I can't keep my wish to be a grandfather to myself. I hope you get married soon and we get cute grandkids running in our house." With this statement all the eyes at the table turned to Sohee and Taehyung. While Sohee looked down, staring at her plate, Taehyung groaned feeling embarrassed. Y/n giggled heartedly, the one that quickly went to Jungkook's ears as of it was only for him to hear.
Not long enough Mr Kim ended his fun loving speech, inviting everyone to dance at the stage. It was more like a waltz, where everyone danced on the light tunes of instruments played in the background.
At the first stance, Mr Jeon and Y/n danced together while Jungkook danced with Taehyung's mother. He was truly a ladies' man. Y/n's hand rested on one of the broad shoulders of Mr Jeon while his rested at her back.
"You guys look good together." She shifted her focus to Mr Jeon while he danced with her.
"Sorry?"
"You and Jungkook. You both look good together." A slow flush crawled upto her neck and spread to her cheeks.
"I-well, I don't know what to say." Mr Jeon laughed, his voice similar to his son's. There was a very little difference between both of their voices.
"You haven't changed at all. You're still that sweet, shy girl I knew who came to our house after school with two pigtails, having her mouth covered in chocolate." Mr Jeon smiled faintly as he remembered her past.
She looked away embarrassingly, with a shy smile. Had he known what she and his son have already done behind the closed doors, he wouldn't have been of that opinion.
"But seriously, Y/n. If at all you guys ever feel anything for each other. Consider it." Mr Jeon sighed, before continuing. "I might have not spent a lot of time with my son, but I know him inside out. He's very calm and controlled. But when it comes to you, he gets agitated like shit. And I am not mistaken. He's wouldn't be invested in you just like that. He might come out as rude, arrogant and cold. But he is not any of that at all. He has just pulled his walls too high up to let anyone pentrate it. Sometimes, I feel I failed as a father terribly."
Y/n pursed her lips, letting her faint dimple pop out. "If I have known a father, who has stood on his grounds and did everything he could to raise their child, I think that would be you. I have seen Sohee growing up , you have been for her always."
Mr Jeon beamed at her. "No wonder you're so good with your words. I have never confessed this but you're one of those few people who are really easy to talk to. Don't let anyone take that away from you, child."
She nodded, both of them sharing a high-five. Mr Jeon looked at Jungkook progressing towards them, his eyes all on Y/n. They could deny all they wanted, but their actions were completely opposite.
"Speaking of the devil.." Mr Jeon gestured her to look behind, while Jungkook walked to them with a confidence as if he owned the place. "..I think it's my time to take a leave and let you both have a dance."
"Can I have a dance?" Jungkook asked, looking straight into her eyes. She hesitated a bit, him being too bold in front of his father. When she looked over at Mr Jeon he was already staring at the two of them fondly.
"All yours." His father winked at him before leaving the two of them alone.
Jungkook pulled her into his embrace, she slipped her arms around his neck. As her soft, luscious breasts melted into his chest, he stiffled a groan of pleasure and closed his eyes.
His arms circled her waist, his hands resting above the plump curve of her ass. She was of perfect height for him. Not too short not too tall. Just perfect. Like everything about her.
As they began swaying together, he bent his head to murmur in her ear, " Have I told you, how beautiful you look tonight?"
"Yup. This is the third time you are saying this." She smiled.
His gaze unwantingly travelled to Ivan who danced with Sohee in the middle. Taehyung absolutely did not look happy about that.
"I don't really like that guy friend of yours."
"Who?" She followed his gaze as he shot daggers to the curly haired boy. "Ivan?"
"Yeah. Whatever his name is." He grumbled annoyingly.
"He's my friend."
"But he's also a guy." He argued.
"But he's not interested in girls." He frowned for a moment and let his eye flicker over her face to find if she was joking. When he didn't find a tinge of humor, he sighed.
"Even so, I don't like him touching you."
"Don't you think at this point I should be the one throwing tantrum because of all the ladies who tried to seduce you at the party?"
"How does it matter anyway? I haven't looked at any woman except you." His fingers caressed her shoulder. "And there's nothing to envy because as long as you are mine, I am yours. Only yours."
She shivered, his persistent words holding her captive.
"Then that goes both ways, Jungkook. You don't have to be jealous of anyone too."
His breath grazed her cheek as he slid his palm over the curve of her shoulder and down her arm. “I’m not a jealous man,Y/n. I have never envied someone for what they have or who they’re with..” His fingers glided down to her wrist. “..but I envy every person you smile at…” A brush over her fingers. “Every laugh I don’t hear…Every breeze that touches your skin and every sound that pours through your lips. I hate it when I am not a part of those small moments you have. It makes me feel sick."
Y/n met his probing gaze for a long moment and then glanced down, her black lashes shadowing her cheekbones.
They danced in silence, their bodies moving in one rhythmic purr of steel drums. A gentle breeze blew tendrils of her hair across his face like a soft caress. He could feel the heat of her body through her dress. And the scent of her exotic fruit and sultry woman hypnotising him.
His hand tightened around her waist, tilting her closer. He heard her sharp breath, felt her nipples pucker against his chest. Blood rushed straight to his groin.
If his family hadn't been around, he would have palmed her curvy butt cheeks and ground himself until he moaned. And it took everything in him to not do so.
All too soon, the slow song ended, melting into a jazz.
Holding his gaze, she stepped right into the dance, rolling her hips with a mesmerising sensuality that took his breath away.
They moved rhythmically together, rocking from side to side, grooving on the music playing in the background.
When a chord struck put loud, Jungkook dipped her backward and twirled her around. The hem of her dress flew up, giving him a view of her thighs, he loved the most.
He licked his lips, his dick hardening instantly when he though of those glorious thighs wrapped around his back while he fucked her.
Blood pumping, adrenaline rushing to all right places, he grabbed her by her waist and pulled her back to his arms.
When she felt his erection poking her belly, her eyes widened in surprise.
Panic was written all over her face.
When she looked at him, he pulled her closer trapping her against his aroused body.
"Jungkook.." she whispered. "We are in public. Control."
"Right." He affirmed. "We need to be alone and I know a perfect place for us to spend the night."
He guided her through the heaps of crowd, prying her away from everyone's eyes and both of their hearts filled with excitement, anticipation of what the night held for them.
