He proposed me so beautifully that I just couldn't deny accepting it. There was something in him that made me fall for him. That night after we were done enjoying our first moment of togetherness..... 

Nisha : Podhum Sanjay!!! Naalaiku college ku varuven la!!! 

Sanjay : Naalaiku varaikum wait panradhu ennala mudiyadhu!!! 

Nisha : Over pannadha da dei..... 

Sanjay : Podi... 

He said pouting. "Amma wait pannitu irupaanga" I said pecking a kiss on his chin.... He smiled cutely. "Appo naan poren" I said turning to leave.... he stopped me holding my hand, "Innonu kuduthutu po" he said showing his cheek. I glared at him... while he looked at me pleasingly.. Ah!!! Him and his eyes!!!! 

"Onnu thaan" I said trying to look angry.. he nodded his head with a sheepish smile. I quickly kissed him on his cheek.... "Bye" I whispered and walked towards the stairs... "Bye chellam" he shouted at the top of his voice.... I looked at him surprised... "I love you" he said with a very happy smile. That smile filled a kind of excitement inside me. "Love you too" I said returning his smile.  

I walked out of the house and reached the car. I looked back at him one last time. He waved at me happily. I waved back at him with a smile and got into car.... 

I parked my car and opened the gate. I was in such a happy mode that I started singing "high on love"which I had played on loop in my car...

I opened the door and removed my shoes rhythmically...

I sat down on the sofa with a glass of soda.. after waving at my mom with a smile...

"Enna Paatulaam varuthu???" my mom asked me with a smile. I smiled shyly at her and got up "for the first time ever Nisha is in love" I shouted extending my hands.  My mom gifted me a surprised smile. She came and hugged me. "Sanjay ah?" she asked excited. I blushed and nodded. "Hmm... bring him tomorrow, I want to meet him" she said thoughtfully. I looked at her confused. She cocked an eyebrow at me. I shrugged and nodded.

Next day

I went to collage with new excitement. But due to the little late night romantic meeting we had last night... I was late. So, I had to go straight away to my class. And curse my fate me and Sanjay were in different departments. So, I can't meet him until lunch. Now you can ask me why I can't go to his department... Nah!!! That's a risk... If I go there the students there will cook up stories that we are in a living relationship from an year or so.... although he just proposed me yesterday. That's the magnitude of gossiping that happens here!!!!! And unfortunately it spreads fast too. 

So, No!!!! I am going to go to class now and wait for lunch time. 

Lunch time

I was sitting near a window with an open lunch box waiting for him. After few minutes I saw him entering talking to girl. Firstly he is late and now he is wasting time talking to girls. Huff!!! He came to me and sat down opposite to me. "Hey Nisha baby" he greeted. I turned to other side with an angry sigh... "Ennachu?" he asked confusedly... I still maintained the angry aura. "Kovama?" he asked cutely.. I nodded angrily hiding my smile... 

"Enna Mrs Sanjay ippove ivlo verithanama edhukku moonji ya thooki vechutennga?? Nethu thaan love la erungunathu!!" he said with a pout. 

I smiled... "Enna verithanam?? Oru nimisham kooda olunga salichikila... ennakku irukura kovathukku atleast oru naalaachum salichikanum!!!" I said disappointed...

"Edhukku ma avlo kovam??" He asked cocking an eyebrow. 

"Unna poi love pannitene.. andha sogam dhaan kovam ah mariruchu" I said. 

"Ahaan??" He asked cheekily.

"Seri vidu..... innaiku evening nee enjoyable en veetuku varanum." I said instructing him.

"Yean??" He asked confused.

"Enga Amma unna meet pannanum nu sonnanga!!!" I said casually... 

"Yean??" he asked shocked. 

"You are her future son-in-law.... meet pandrathu la enna thaapu???" I asked. 

"Illa konjam bayama irukku" he said tensed. 

"Onnum Aagadhu" I said assuring him. 

Evening

I brought Sanjay along with me even though he was protesting very badly. "Innaiku naan illa nu solliko... naalaiku polaam" he said trying to escape. "Eppo irundhaalum meet pandrathu thaane.... Vaa pa" I said dragging him inside. "Sethuten" he murmured. Seriously why is he so afraid??!!! I thought to myself as I dragged him in front of mom who was sitting in sofa.

"Amma.. Sanjay, Sanjay... Amma" I introduced each other. 

"Vanakkam Aunty" he said a little hesitantly. 

"Vanakkam" she returned maintaining a Sivagami kinda aura. 

"Enna meet pannanum sonneengalaame?" He asked a bit tensed.

"Hmm inga va" she said maintaining the same aura. 

He looked at me... I gave him an 'ada-po-pa' look. He went towards her with a hesitant smile. He stood in front of her. My mom gave him a serious stare. "How cute!!!!" she said pulling his cheeks. He dropped his jaw and looked at me. I was surprised too. She even got me with her acting. Way to go mom!!!! 

She sat down and made him sit too. 

"Sanjay... Nisha en kitta unna paathi neraya solliruka.... unna paathale oru homely feel varudhu!!! Engayo edho oru santhosham!!! Ennakku irukuradhu Nisha mattum dhaan.... ava ennoda uyir... unnakku kudukuren bathrama paathuko" she said with glassy eyes. 

"Neenga kavala padadheenga aunty.... Inime Nisha is my responsibility, Neenga rest eduthukonga." He said smiling at her. She smiled a little wiping her eyes looking at him. 

"Aunty oru vishayam ketkava??" he asked going closer to her. She nodded. "Neenga unmayave Nisha ku ammava??" he asked looking at me and then her. "Amma pa, yean?" she asked shocked just like was. "Illa ungala paatha Nisha ku Akka maadhiri theriyureenga and Avala vida neenga dhaan azhaga irukeenga.... adhaan" he said laughing. She laughed along with him.

"Ahaan!!" I  said with a smirk. "Sanjay sonnadhu unmai dhaane di" my mom said joining him. "Amma neeyuma??" I said annoyed. 

"Rendu perume sernthutaanga ippo enna peaceful ah vaazha vida maatanaga!!!!"I said folding my hands letting out a sigh when they both just laughed at me. 

Then they both continued teasing me together. My mom became close to him so quickly. She was extremely happy. The whole evening they were just talking to each other without even letting me utter a single word. I was sighing and glaring and secretly smiling at the cuteness of their chemistry. Time flew by and very soon it was time to go. 

"Bye Nisha" Sanjay waved at me with a wink. I smiled and waved back at him. "Bye aunty" he said and they both bumped fists. "Idhu enna pudhusa??" I asked mockingly. "Naanga rendu perum friends idhu engaloda signature!!!" my mom said earning a cute nod from Sanjay. "Chinna pasangala vela laam pannureenga" I said rolling my eyes. "Podi" my mom said side hugging Sanjay "Friendship ipdi dhaan irukum." "Idhellam unna maari aunty kaarangaluku puriyadhu" Sanjay said with sticking his tongueout. "Seri thaatha" I said imitating him. 

Jeez!!!!! We were like a pair of besties who always fight. Many people say that every true friendship has deep love in it... I think no... Every  true love has deep  friendship in it. 

So, he waved bye at us for one final time and then left. 

I locked the door and went inside. My mom came in next. She sat down next to me and smiled at me. I cocked an eyebrow at her. 

"Well Done Ms Nisha.... he is the best." She said caressing my cheeks. I smiled at her. "Naane thedunaalum ivlo nalla paiyan kedaichiruka maatan... Nee avanoda uyirdi... he loves you a lot... avanoda pechulaye theriyudhu. Avan unna vittutu engayum poga maataan. Neeyum avana vittutu engayum  pogadha..." She said. 

"En boyfriend ah epdi paathukanumnu nee ennakku sollanuma Mrs Kalpana??" I asked with a smirk. "Oho appo ungalukku ellame theriyuma Ms Nisha??" She countered with a smirk. "Theriyum" I said with a grin. 

"Irukalaam but ungalukku thaan samayil seiya varadhe??" she countered. I glared at her. "Amma yean oru ponnudhaan ellame pannanum... naanga dhaan idhu pannaum edhavadhu rule irukka??" I started. 

"My dear feminist.. cool" she said with a cool aura "Naalaiku neenga rendu perum vera veetukku pona... daily velila irundhu dhaan saapdavungeela??" "Naanga yen poganum?? Unkoodaye irupom!!!" I asked wrapping her hands around. "Ivlo varusham senjadhu pathadha kalaynathukku apromum naan thaan samayil seyanumah??" She asked. 

"Adhukku worry aagadha.. adhellam Sanjay handle pannuvaan... avanukku samayil nallave varum." I said confidently. "Oh.. appo he is the saviour" she said with a sigh.

For the next few days... it was always the same. Me and Sanjay celebrating our love, sometimes with mom. But then suddenly one day after our college... Sanjay told me come with me to his house and that he has someone very important that he wants me to meet....
