"Happy birthday!."

Everyone of us shouted as Anagha came inside her house. Lights were on, Yug jumped around with balloons , both our moms threw pom-poms while her dad sang loudly.

"Mom? Dad? Yug!." I heard her shout but what made us stop celebrations was two other voices.

"Dr Amogh sir?." I closed my eyes in frustration. Do they really need to tag her? Yug hugged her as I removed birthday cap from my head. I walked back to the kitchen to arrange food for dinner. Even though her birthday is tomorrow her mother decided to surprise her tonight but now I can't get her alone.

"Sir, we are really sorry. Aunty invited us plus she didn't let us know that both of you are family friends. We are sorry to-" I stopped them.

"You are her friends. It's ok why are you explaining this to me? Enjoy the party, I prefer to stay alone if you don't mind. " I said taking glasses with me.

"But sir, party started just now. " Jaidev commented making me halt.

"Then you need to hurry. Don't bother about others. " I replied quite irritated.

"Happy teachers day sir!." They both greeted with wide smiles. I just nodded not interested in their banter. Standing a bit far I observed Yug literally sitting on her while my mom adored her new bangles which I bought but couldn't give infront of her friends. They think my mom gifted them. Yug winked at me understanding my condition. Her dad patted on my shoulder as he came to refill his drink.

"Amogh? Come here. " My mom called as her school and college friends scooted away for me to reach her.

"Look at her! Bangles suit her so well!." My mom exclaimed. Nodding my head I just smiled as Anagha looked at me. Yug distracted get again trying to create a window for me to escape. Kasturb lightened up the party with his jokes and funny dances moves . Jaidev was silent most of the party , I guess he likes to be calm around crowd.

"Bhai! Come let's dance!!." Yug dragged me with him. I laughed as I danced with my brother. Her girl- friends were busy ogling at me while my other two students were shocked to see me dance every hook step. Of course I love dancing! Who doesn't? For my Yug I learned every hook step as he gets bored after certain part of the song.

"Wow beta!." Her mom came to hug me. To cool down myself I went to kitchen. Placing snacks on the tray, I decided to take them out but Anagha beat it to me.

"Thank you. " She said smiling at me. I just smiled saying it's nothing.

"For gifting me bangles and shoes and also for pushing me to do physiotherapy. " She said blocking my way. I smiled bowing my head.

"Why do you have to wear white shirt?." She asked me suddenly. I looked at myself. It's just t shirt that too non transparent one.

"Aren't you bored looking at white and blue whole day?." She asked me referring to hospital we work in.

"No. " I replied.

"Why do you have to show off your dancing skills?." At this point I can sense her annoyance.

"Why? Did anyone ask my number?." I questioned her.

"Give them." I replied winking at her.

"My foot!." She stomped walking away. Jealous Anagha looks good but what happened to me? Why am I being so cheerful? I wish her friends didn't tag her tonight. It would have been better than I expected.

" Look beta! I think you are uncomfortable around your students. Is it OK if they stay here?." Aunty asked me while her dad had hopeful eyes.

" Aunty, it's completely fine. I danced too right? If I am so uncomfortable I wouldn't face them. They need to be safe , just because they are guys that doesn't count them as safest people on earth. Just let me know if I need to arrange anything.  Right dad?." I said in flow then looked away. He patted my cheek smiling at me. Aunty immediately asked me and her friends to arrange mattresses on second floor of their house where boys will sleep. Kasturb and Jaidev smiled too as they heard me speaking with her mom. 

" Amogh these are extra mattress , he will help you.  Just keep them on first floor ? Kasturb said he will clean the room too."   Her dad instructed as I nodded my head. Anagha looked at me as her friends were busy chatting with her. Jaidev immediately helped me to carry mattress , when we reached there kasturb was singing and moping the floor happily.

" Whenever he visits his uncle here,  he makes him do household work so that kasturb knows what it takes to run a family.  He loves mopping floor sir. " Jaidev gave out information as the other one suddenly felt conscious. He hit his friend for leaking precious information.

" Sir. Let us do it. We will arrange mattress." Jaidev said as he placed each one neatly.

" I will help." That's all I spoke. Less interaction makes me calm. We three helped to arrange things for girls as some of them placed their belongings.  This time aunty made sure we all are involved in her party unlike last time where I couldn't stay as I had emergency case .

" How come you both are here?." I suddenly asked her friends.

" Sir... I hope you don't complain against us. Kasturb is posted in emergency ward while I am on night duty with General surgery dept that is your dept. We asked our juniors to inform if there's any case. " Jaidev answered as I nodded my head. As long as there's no fuss at work, I won't mind them. That explains their shocked face when they entered with Anagha!. Walking back to party room, I stood a far looking at my girl as she was happily chatting away.  Yug tugged my shirt and I looked down at him.

" She said to meet you on terrace at 1.30. Also, I am staying here with mom. You won't sleep with us.  I won't give you place." He said with toothed smile.

" Really? I will carry you like this." I said lifting him in my arms , carrying him across room .

" And throw you out like this!." I said placing him outside the house on grass.

" Mom! Amogh bhai is hitting me! He's so mean! He wants to feed anagha di cake first!." He shouted all the while running inside. Everyone laughed at him but I was embarrassed by his stupid action. He knew I would react like this and he purposefully did this.

My brother is really annoying!

" Beta, come inside. It's time for cake cutting." Her mom called me as I was busy looking at stars. What's the use of staying here when I can't talk with her properly.
I went inside,  people were having cake and she smiled widely as her friends applied  cake all over her face. Yawning loudly Yug announced his portion of cake should be saved as he's sleepy. Tugging my mom's saree he walked towards the room, he's used to sleep. Such an attention grabber! Anagha looked at me as I smiled back at her. She didn't react much. 

Slowly people started sleeping at their destined places as I helped her Dad to clean the place. I checked on Yug who slept like octopus giving minimum space to mom to sleep on. 

" Aren't you staying back?." My mom asked me. I nodded my head as no. 

" I will come to pick you up in the morning. " I said closing the door. Climbing the stairs to the terrace I waited for Anagha to join me after she said her good night to friends. September is always rainy here,  heavy rains lash this city but I love it.  I can feel freshness in the air, cloudy sky's,  gloomy weather but worth it.  As precaution I got my umbrella from car as I don't want my women to catch cold.

" I thought you won't come sir." I heard her voice. I turned around to see her .

" I thought you won't call me." I replied back.
