Kie's POV:

When I woke up, JJ was gone. I did Christmas morning with my family and later that afternoon, I headed to the Chateau to celebrate with the pogues. I brought all the gifts with me and when I arrived everyone else was already there.

"You're late bitch" Sarah said hugging me

"Sorry kook Christmas took a while"

"Too many presents to open" Pope said teasing me

Sarah ordered pizza and we all ate together and then it was time for presents. Everyone was super excited about their gifts. I was waiting until later to give JJ the plane ticket as I didn't want to do it in front of everyone.

JJ opened a box and his face turned white and he looked at me. He was in total shock and I was super confused. Everyone was watching us and I asked, "What's wrong?"

"Uhh, umm... We should talk outside about this" He said not able to find his words

"What is it?" John B asked

Pope reached over and grabbed the box and said, "Holy shit!"

John B leaned over and saw it too and he looked at me the same way JJ did.

"You guys are having a baby" John B asked

"What?" I asked grabbing the box

Inside the box was a fake positive pregnancy test. I looked at Sarah who burst out into laughter.

"Relax, you're in the clear. It's just a fake pregnancy test" Sarah said telling the truth

Pope and John B started laughing and JJ said, "Not funny"

"It was actually pretty funny" I admitted as I laughed with Sarah

We spent the whole day hanging out together and it was perfect. JJ whispered, "I have another gift for you but I can't give it to you here"

"Same goes for you..."

JJ and I left the Chateau in my jeep and I drove to his dad's house. JJ said he was gone so I didn't have to worry. He brought me into his bedroom and there was a box that was wrapped. We sat on his bed and he told me he wanted me to go first. I handed him the airline voucher to come visit me.

"It's a voucher for a plane so you can come to see me over my spring break. Everything is paid for"

"No, this is way too much"

"J, it's nonrefundable. Come visit me in Florida. We'll go surfing, go to Disney, hit a party or two, go to the beach, and hook up a few times"

"Thank you, Kie" He said hugging me

He seemed embarrassed to give me his. He gave me a small box first. I opened it and inside it was a necklace. It was simple but so beautiful.

"Wow, it's beautiful, thank you"

"It was my mom's. I'm sorry, this is probably weird but I don't know it's just sitting in the box and it deserves to be worn. You're the only girl that I've ever met that cares about me and loves me for who I am. So you should have it"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah" He said putting it on me

He then went to hand me the other box. He seemed nervous and he said, "Please don't take this gift the wrong way"

I opened it and JJ got me sex toys. I couldn't help but laugh and he said, "To add to our fun and to satisfy you when I'm not around"

He was such a boy and he asked, "Are you mad?"

"No, not at all... I'm just thinking that it would be nice if you tried them out on me"

"You didn't even have to ask" He said kissing me

This was new. All the attention was on me. And of course, JJ was very skilled and knew what to do.

"This is the hottest thing ever" He said

He joined in and after, we got dressed and headed back to the Chateau. When we arrived everyone gave us shit for what we just did. We didn't even care anymore. They all knew we were having sex and it wasn't a big deal because it meant nothing.

I hung out nonstop with the pogues. We were going to some huge party on figure eight for New Year's Eve. Sarah and I were going shopping for our dresses. I decided on a silver sparkly dress and she went with a gold sparkly dress. We looked hot.

"JJ isn't going to be able to take his eyes off of you" Sarah said admiring my dress

"The same goes for John B with you in that dress" I said back to my best friend

"Hey, where did you get that necklace?" Sarah asked noticing it was new

I was hesitant to tell her but she was my best friend so I did.

"Actually, JJ gave it to me.... It was his moms and he gave it to me for Christmas"

"Holy shit.. Kie, he is in love with you. He never talks about his mom. John B has known him since third grade and he knows nothing about her. He wouldn't tell you that if he didn't love you. You should talk to him tonight and tell him how you feel"

"It's not that simple, Sarah. I care about him, yes obviously but he's my best friend. He's always told me things he doesn't talk to other people about way before we started hooking up. It means nothing" I said trying to convince myself it didn't mean anything

We went to her house to get ready for the night. She did my hair and makeup because she was way better at it than I was. She went with the bold makeup style and I have to admit, it looked really good.

We got our dresses on and waited for the boys to pick us up. The doorbell rang and Pope was there with John B and JJ. John B told Sarah how good she looked and then he kissed her. I could feel JJ's eyes on me but he didn't say anything.

"You two look great" Pope said as we walked to the van

Pope spilled his water all over the backseats. There was nowhere to sit but the floor.

"I'll just drive my car" I said

"I'll drive" JJ volunteered as we walked to my car

They left in the van and Pope came with us. It was already outside and JJ was very gentlemen-like and got my door for me. He followed John B in the van and Pope said from the backseat, "No macking with me in the car"

"You've never even seen us mack" JJ said as he concentrated on driving

He grabbed my hand so Pope couldn't see from the backseat and a few minutes later, we arrived at the party. We met up with Sarah and John B and then we went and found the keg to get some beer. The music was blaring and we all went to the dance floor and started dancing. JJ whispered in my ear and asked, "Wanna find a room and fuck as the clock strikes midnight?"

I nodded my head, yes and we went upstairs but all the rooms were locked or occupied. Even the bathrooms were occupied. Shit.

It was only a few minutes away from midnight now and I asked, "Wanna go to my car?"

"Yeah" He said as we walked outside

We walked to my car and it was freezing out. We climbed into the backseat of my car and I sat on his lap and he lifted my dress up. He kissed me and we were making out. We had about ten minutes before midnight so we had to hurry. We were making out and JJ pulled back and he said, "You're wearing the necklace. I never got to tell you this but it looks great on you"

This was so random. Why did he stop the make-out to say that? I replied and then went back to kissing him. He lifted my dress up to my hips and slid my thong to the side as I unzipped his pants. He inerted himself in me as I bounced up and down. It was close to midnight and we were both so close. We tried to time it just right, but we were a little early.

We were both breathless as I stayed on his lap. He looked into my eyes and he moved a piece of hair out of my face. We had ten seconds till midnight and he kissed me. We were making out as the clock struck midnight.

"Happy new year, Kie"

"Happy new year, J" I said as he looked into my eyes

"Kie, I.. I lo.. uhhh" He studdered and I looked at him waiting for him to say it

My heart was racing from the anticipation. He tried again, "I.."

"Just say it, JJ" I said wanting to hear it

He stayed quiet and I said, "Fucking say it"

"I'm going to miss you when you leave tomorrow" He said which was totally not what he was going to say

I was fighting back tears. Ever since my conversation with Sarah, I thought maybe it was possible. Maybe JJ Maybank really did love me but I guess not. I got off of him and adjusted my clothing. There was a knock on my car window. I looked at JJ who had also got his pants back on. I opened the door and got out.

It was the pogues and my windows were all steamy. They all knew what we were doing and John B said, "Nice way to ring in the new year or should I say ride in the new year"

Everyone laughed and they said they were leaving. Pope was riding back with us and he said, "JJ's ass was sitting on the backseat, I call shotgun"

He got in the passenger seat and I started driving. I could see JJ in the rearview mirror. He looked at me and then he just looked out the window. He didn't say a word the whole way back to the Chateau. John B and Sarah went right to their bedroom and I was left with JJ and Pope.

"I'm exhausted... I'm going to bed" I said going into the spare room and I locked the door behind me as I broke down in tears. I knew I had to end this JJ.
