Castiel gets high fives from his whole family during the commercial break after he sneaks away to find them.

"Nice job," Gabriel tells him.

"Thanks," Castiel replies.

"You nailed it," Samandriel adds.

"Not really, but thanks anyway."

"You're actually Taylor Swift now," Lucifer tells him.

Castiel rolls his eyes. "Yeah, sure," he say sarcastically.

"Just don't say 'uh' and 'um' so much," Chuck advises him.

"If it were that easy, I wouldn't have," Castiel replies.

"I wish Dean could've been here," Anna says. "You could have had the full welcoming committee to greet you."

Castiel shrugs. "Well, at least I have you guys. I mean, it could be worse. I could have to be completely alone."

"True," Anna agrees.

"And I'm very upset with you," Lucifer tells him.

Castiel cocks his head in confusion. "Why?"

"I can't believe you said it was all luck," Lucifer pouts. "I mean, I'm the one that made you call in the first place. How come I didn't get a shoutout, but Gabriel did, and all he did was tell you that you were number one?"

"Because I like Gabriel more," Castiel jokes. "No, because I feel like the worst way to answer a question is to say that you never wanted to be a singer-slash-songwriter at all. Or that you actually wanted to not be one."

"Oh, true," Lucifer agrees. "Still, I'm offended. It wasn't just luck that got you here."

"Maybe I meant I'm lucky to have you as a brother?" Castiel suggests.

"Oh, yeah. Okay, I'll take that. You're forgiven," Lucifer replies.

"And I recorded this on my phone so Sam and Dean could watch," Gabriel tells him, then adds, "and Adam," as an afterthought. "Because I don't know how long until they get on YouTube."

"I don't think you have to do that," Castiel protests. "I mean, we can just wait until it's on YouTube. It can't be that long." But maybe in that short amount of time, they'll forget to check it out. Even though he doesn't think he failed too bad, he's not thrilled with how it went. It was nothing special; just a couple of general questions with a couple of general answers. It's not worth them watching.

Suddenly, both Castiel's and Gabriel's phones vibrate. They both pull them out to see Charlie texted on the group chat.

Charlie: GUYS WERE YOU WATCHING CASTIEL ON JODY MILLS SHOW HES AWESOME

Charlie: AND HIS NEW SONG IS AWESOME TOO

Charlie: I JUST BOUGHT IT BECAUSE ITS THAT AWESOME

Charlie: YOU GUYS SHOULD LISTEN TO IT IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY

Castiel: It's not that good.

Charlie: Stop lying

Gabriel: Stop lying

Charlie: Lol

Gabriel: Lol

Charlie: Wth

Gabriel: Wtf

Charlie: Okay that's better

Gabriel: Okay that's better

Charlie: Dammit

Gabriel: Dammit

Castiel: Okay guys time to stop

Garth: You did awesome btw

Castiel: Thanks.

Kevin: Wait that was today?

Castiel: Yeah but it's fine if you didn't watch it.

Kevin: I'll watch it eventually tho

Castiel: No, don't bother with that.

"What're you doing?" Anna asks.

"We're texting the group chat," both Castiel and Gabriel say at once. "Dammit, not again!"

Everyone laughs.

"Nice, guys," Samandriel says sarcastically.

"Hey, Castiel, are you stuck here or can we go?" Chuck asks.

"We can go," Castiel tells him.

"Great, because I've never been to LA, and we've got the rest of the day to explore. I say we use it."

It's around two in the afternoon when Castiel gets a text.

Dean: I love how it went from "he was never the nicest person to me" to "oh yeah, we've been dating almost six months"

Castiel: You watched it?

Dean: I told you I would. Gabriel sent it to Sam so we watched it with Adam

Castiel: Three people? Wow, I feel so popular.

Dean: You're pretty much famous now. You should feel popular

Dean: And I love your new song, too

Castiel: Thanks.

Dean: How are you liking LA so far?

Castiel: It's fine. Nothing special.

Castiel: Isn't USC in LA?

Dean: Yep. Southern Los Angeles, apparently. Thanks, Google. :)

Castiel: Maybe you'll meet some famous people.

Dean: I'm sorta hoping you'll be my ticket to the famous people, not my school.

Castiel: I'm offended. You're using me. ;)

Dean: No, of course not. I'm just using the benefits of being your boyfriend to the best of my ability :)

Castiel: So, basically, you're using me.

Dean: Yes.

Dean: But in the best way possible.

Castiel: I feel like I shouldn't let you do that but I will anyway cuz I like you

Dean: *sighs in relief* good because I wouldn't want to lose you <3

Castiel: :)

Castiel: I'm so proud of myself for figuring out these symbols

Castiel: And it's not even just the faces. Like, I know that's a heart, too.

Dean: You're gonna go far, kid.

Castiel: I hate that song.

Dean: Oh yeah. I forgot that was a song

Castiel: Aw crap hold on

Dean: Okaayyy...?

Castiel: Sorry. Lucifer tried to steal my phone.

Castiel: Again.

Dean: Honestly, I'm kind of surprised it took him that long. Lucifer's slacking.

Castiel: Oh god no don't tell him that. He'll be annoying again.

Dean: Like he always is?
