(Abigail's POV)

As I was thinking of a way to tell Amy about her parents, Amy walks down the steps towards the kitchen.Speak of the devil I thought as I served us some breakfast.

"Thanks for breakfast." Amy says eating her toast.

"No problem, it's the least i could do for someone who helped with my dad." I respond.

"I heard the home phone ring, what was it about?" Amy asks, starting her drink. I panic.

"I-I...um-"

"It was about my parents dying wasn't it?" Amy interrupted. My eyes widen. How did she know? "My mom told me about the flight and how dangerous it was, so I suspected as much." Amy says sighing, "So, my mom gave my present early, which are two tickets to Cincinnati. Now were a little bit closer to find out were the string leads."

It was weird how calm Amy was acting, I opened my mouth to question it, but closed it not wanting to know the answer.

"W-when is the flight?" I ask trying to change the topic.

"In a few weeks." Amy responds, "and I am taking you with me."

"Why are you taking me? Don't you have way better friends to take?" I ask.

"Because you are the only one of my friends that I can trust." Amy said getting her dishes and taking them to the sink. I feel heat rise to my cheeks. Am I really trustworthy?

(Time skip to after Thanksgiving break)

Me and Amy get up on Monday and get ready for school. Amy keeps talking about all the shopping she is going to do with me after school. I just roll my eyes and scoff humorously. Amy also talks about how we are going to follow my string today as well. I wasn't really paying attention afterwards, because I kept thinking about what she said.

"Because you are the only one of my friends that I can trust."

We just meet last night and she thinks I am already her friend, a trusting friend at that.

"Are you even paying attention?" Amy asks waving her hand in front of my face.

"No, sorry I-I zoned out" I say scratching the back of my neck.

Please don't ask what I was thinking about

Please don't ask what I was thinking about

Please don't ask what I was thinking about

Please don't ask what I was thinking about

"What were you thinking about?" Amy asks stopping in her tracks. Dangit I guess I have no choice.

I explain what I was thinking to her and she raises an eyebrow.

"Really that's it?!" Amy starts, "Well to explain, so far you didn't stab me in the back like the rest of my friends, and you didn't lie to me yet. So I say you're the most trustworthy friend I have to this date."

Amy smiles and grabs my hand and pulls me inside the school building, "Come on! School is about to start."

And with that, the bell rings and we go our separate ways.
