The Witches in the conference room couldn't believe what they just heard. Another Parallel Earth that has gone through the most violent and bloodiest wars of the 20th Century. World War II scared them the most after seeing so many familiar faces such as Hitler being an evil, monstrous, and hateful human being. 

Minna: I.....I can't believe it!

Mio: This world has a lot of violence and bloodshed.

Shirley: Imagine if we were born in this world, we wouldn't be best friends but we would fight each other. 

Lucchini nodded in agreement

Perrine: You know, I think the Neuroi is a blessing for us!

Everyone looked at Perrine

Perrine: Think about it it's the 1940s in our world and that's the time of World War II. So we basically avoided a war that will end up killing over 80 million. 

Sanya who thought about going to war against Sumous was  crying not wanting her country forcing her to kill Elia if they met in the battlefield instead of fighting the Neuroi. Elia frowend and thought of the same thing.

Elia: It's alright Sanya, I will never hurt you or fight you

Sanya who made a ghostly smile felt a little better

Mio was silent for a moment after witnessing the brutality towards the Chinese civilians and POWs from Imperial Japanese causing her to mumble about her country becoming an oppressive nation and doing the same thing once they win against the Neuroi invasion. Minna can't imagine what Adolf Hitler in her universe would've done to those people if he was rejected for being an artist. While everyone was coping with the thoughts of them fighting against each other Minna stood up and began to speak.

Minna: Perrine is right! The Neuroi was truly a blessing for us. Our humanity united as one to fight against the Neuroi. I'm guessing this universe was so unlucky to not have an alien invasion. Causing them to fight each other. 

Miyafuji stood up by her side and said

Miyafuji: We are witches and destined to protect humanity no matter what the cost

Everyone began to smile hearing some positive motivation

Minna: I swear if any of our nations decided to fight against each other, I will take arms against them to prevent them from starting a war to destabilize our world including the Neuroi. If you all agree then say you do.

Everyone stood up and nodded

Minna: So let's stop crying and let's meet the American President and go to the United Nations to speak to the world!

After that Alex, Anna and the Captain entered the conference room to see how they are doing.

Alex: How are all you feeling?

Minna: I think we are much better now thank you!

Minna smiled at the two men

Alex: That's good to hear

Barkhorn: So, what happened to Germany and Japan?

Alex: Both recovered from the war greatly. In fact, Germany and Japan are some of the most well-developed nations in the world. Japan has the 3rd largest economy. Japan is a pacifist nation today and has no military except a self-defense force. Not only that it pop culture is a global phenomenon. And Germany has been the home of some of the most prominent researchers in science such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, and engineering. They are known to make very good cars as well.

Alex typed on his computer and showed what Tokyo is like and what Berlin is like. The Karlslanders and Fusoian were awed and impressed that their cities improved and it was much brighter than it was in their time. After some more talking, Johnson said.

Johnson: Alright, so we are heading over to the Los Angeles Port

Shirley: Los Angeles? I never heard of such a city. 

Alex: Located in Southern California. I'm from there. It's the largest city in Southern California.

Shirley: Oh, don't you mean Long Beach? It's the largest city in Southern California.

Johnson: Well damn you gotta be kidding me.

Shirley: oh does Long Beach doesn't exist in your universe?

Alex; It does, but it's a separate city.

While the girls were eating some food in the cafeteria, Alex came to their table and sat down.

Alex: Ladies, how is the food?

Mio: It's actually not that bad.

Alex: Good, because actually, we did some research based on your surnames.

Alex put down some papers showing 10 men and 1 woman. It also showed their names. This surprised all of the girls seeing that these men have similar names to them. 

Elia: Who are these people?

Alex; These are famous World War II Aces of each country. Technically these people are you girls.

Lynette: This is us? 

Alex nodded

 All of the girls were observing the papers that they were given. They also have some little information on them including the day they were born and when they died. 

Shirley: Chuck or Charles Yeager? He is known for breaking the sound barrier with his X-1 in Rogers Dry Lake in Southern California. The year was 1947. How amazing is that?

Erica: Erich Hartmann, known for shooting down a total of 352 allied aircraft, flew 1,404 combat missions. Known as the most successful fighter ace in the history of aerial warfare! In 1944, Erich Hartmann married his long-time teenage love, Ursssss......URSULA?!!!! 

Yoshika: Kaneyoshi Muto, was a Japanese naval aviator and flying ace. Known for his great flying skills. His fellow ace Saburo Sakai called him "A genius in the air"

Yoshika said as she made a wide smile knowing that she is one. Even Mio said she was. 

 The witches continued exchanging information on knowing their real-world counterparts. Little did they know, that A few of Neuroi has entered the portal from the other side had entered the real world.

A day later

The Aircraft carrier only took about 2 days to sail across the Pacific Ocean. The witches could see the city of LA in the distance. They were amazed to see how different it was in their world. Today they are going to meet the US president. 

Shirley: Is that Los Angeles? 

Alex nodded

Shirley: It's so huge compared to my Long Beach. 

Everyone was seeing the view of Los Angeles in the distance.

Alex: It is the home to many things such as Hollywood, major entertainment companies, bad traffic, and the second-largest city in America.

The USS Gerald R Ford landed at the port dock. After anchoring it to the port, The Witches got off the ship wearing pants that matches their uniforms. Except for Sanya who is already wearing a skirt. From the orders of the Captain, he ordered Alex to take him to his house. Though Alex hated this idea due to the fact he doesn't want to get the wrong idea. Thankfully, Anna decided to tag along as well. Secret Service will also be there to check up on them if something goes wrong. They were escorted by a black vehicle that will take them directly to his house. Actually it was his parent's house.

Minna: So this is your house?

Minna stared at the large house.

Alex: Actually it's my parents

Minna: Is your parents ok with this?

Alex: My parents are overseas right now so I don't think it would be a problem

The girls and Alex entered the house. They were amazed to see the interior of the house. The design was truly different from their time as well. This was truly a modern home

The witches gasped in amazement to see how amazing it looked. It was like they were rich or sorts. Though they aren't, I would say that Alex's family has enough money to have something this fancy. The living room had a nice campfire, a widescreen transparent tv with a PS5 Console, and other things. In fact some parst of the house is Smart Controlled.

Alex: Google Turn on lights!

The witches had no idea what he was talking about. Who is this google? Is it some maid or assistant or the caretakers? Then the lights went on as if a ghost turned it on.

Elia: Whoa how did you turn on the lights without touching them?

Alex: Ah that is because my home is a Smart Home.

Yoshika: A smart home? 

Anna: home automation system will monitor and/or control home attributes such as lighting, climate, entertainment systems, and appliances. Like the lights, for example, I can dim it.

All of the witches were awed in amazement. This was truly an ideal of the house of the future. 

Alex: Make yourself feel comfortable. Please roam freely to recognize the place. If you want any drinks there in the fridge. We got water, soda, coffee, tea, energy drinks, etc. 

Mio: Thank you, Alex, we appreciate your hospitality.

Alex: Not a problem though this is the Captain's idea to bring you here.

After settling in, The Witches gathered in the living room to discuss what was going on right now. Alex was in his room to give them privacy. 

Hartmann: I'm still shocked we're still in a Parallel World 

Hartmann said as she took a sip of water

Shirley: I'm shocked that we are in Liberion but in a different reality. A reality where it became a superpower and dominated the economy.

Minna: ok, so I did some information on the United Nations, it's apparently an organization to maintain international peace, and security, and developed friendly relations amongst other nations. So when we arrive at the United Nations assembly, we must be on our best behavior is that understood?

All: Yes

Minna: good, I don't want to risk an international incident. We will be meeting with the American president of the United Nations in a few days so we are dismissed for the day.

Yoshika: Alright! so where is Alex anyway?

Alex was in his room playing on his PC. He was playing a game called Hearts of Iron IV. A World War II strategy game. He selected Nazi Germany and began his main focus on the industry. After that, he went on prepping to invade Poland.  A knock on the door was made.

Alex: Come in

Alex said as he looked at the screen. Minna, Hartmann, Barkhorn, Yoshika, and Shirley entered his room while the other witches were in the living room watching tv. 

 Yoshika: Hey Alex Watcha doing?

Alex: Playing a game.

The five looked at the screen seeing Mainland Europe. It showed the labeled countries such as Germany, France, Britain, and many others.

Minna: What kind of game?

Alex: A war strategy game. It's called Heart of Iron 4. The Game sets in either 1937 or 1939. In this game, you can play any country. For example, I'm playing in Germany and I'm set off to dominate the world. 

Barkhorn chuckled

Barkhorn: You mean you can actually play as any country and you can do whatever?

Alex: Basically yes, I can go for the historically accurate ai or I can alter history. 

Alex clicked on some buttons on his keyboard and mouses and the screen says.

Germany has declared war on the Netherlands

Alex clicked on some troops and began invading the Netherland along with the German planes bombing. He sat back and watched as Germany fights in the Netherlands. The girls were awed in amazement after seeing what just happened. After Germany takes over the Netherlands, Germany has full control of the landmass. Then he went after Belgium and Czechoslovakia. Finally invading Poland which would mark the beginning of World War II.

Hartmann: Whoa! That is amazing! You can play any country and you can fight any nation you wish!

Alex: That's why it's one of my favorite games!

Alex smiled

Meanwhile, A US Destroyer, The Arleigh Burke-class was firing its missiles as sirens went off. Their target was the Neuroi that were constantly firing at US navy ships. The missile would launch countless times to take them down.

Sailor 1: What the hell are those things?

Sailor 2: A UFO trying to attack us. have they decided to attack humanity?

Captain: I don't know, but have you managed to contact the President and DC?

Sailor 3: Yes sir, to his knowledge they are called the Neuroi. He can't got into more detail thinking it would cause mass panic in public. But I managed to get information on how we can defeat it.

Captain: Let's hear it

The Captain said as he got papers from him. It showed that they have these red gems inside that can truly destroy them. As they were reading, a nearby Aircraft carrier named the USS John F Kennedy sent out some Super Hornest. They went into a sonic boom to catch up to their target. As they arrived, the Super Hornets began to fire at the Neuroi.

After dealing with enough damaged, the Neurio completely went into pieces 

Sailor: hell yeah! 

Sailor 2: Whoa!!

Sailor 3: TAKE THAT ALIEN SCUM!

As that Neuroi got destroyed, the other Neuroi retreated from the area trying to find a safe place, but nobody knows what is going to happen next.

After showing the game to some of the witches, they continued to explore the house more. They were amazed to see how many electronics are being used today. They were very impressed with the widescreen television that is in high density. Another thing is that they have touch screens meaning no need to use buttons. The screen is your buttons. 

Alex also wanted to show them his VR set called HTC Vive Pro 2. He picked it up and went to the living room. He set it on the table. Lucchini looked at the device curiously. 

Lucchini: Hey Alex, what is this device?

Alex: ladies this is called the HTC Vive Pro 2. This is a VR headset

Elia: VR? 

Alex: Virtual Reality

Alex began explaining what Vr and the headset can do. He also told them about the metaverse and how you can talk to people all around the world without leaving your home. After explaining to them about the VR and the headset, the witches were amazed and excited to see how this worked. The only problem is who wants to go first. Every witch wants to use the VR headset so Alex decided to Draw straws to see who would go first. After that, the witches looked at their sticks seeing who would go first.

Sanya: Looks like I got the stick!

Alex: Well Sanya come on up and give it a try

Sanya got up from Eila's shoulder and went to Alex. Alex put the headset over her face and adjust the strap. Alex plugged the cord into the tv to the VR headset. On the tv, it showed Sanya's POV of the thing she was watching. She was looking around what appeared to be the Solar System. Sanya was truly amazed to see what she is seeing.

Sanya: Whaaa! This is amazing!

Alex: This is called Space Engines 2 A really cool simulation of what the universe looks like

Minna: This is amazing, but how do you guys get this?

Alex: Well from the mid-20th century to the present day, The United States began to invest in space and create spacecraft. The US launched satellites and such. 

Sanya was still looking around and accidentally pressed some random button, then it took her what appears to be some type of black object but it also had some reflection.

Sanya: Whoa! Where am I?

Alex: Congrats Sanya, you found a black hole!

Mio: A Black Hole?

Alex: A space object that has overwhelming gravity. It has so much gravity that light can't escape it. 

Barkhorn: What's inside a black hole?

Alex: No one knows. But if a person gets too close to it, you get torn apart.

After Sanya was done, Eila was up next to use the VR, then Shirley, Hartmann, Minna, Barkhorn, Clostermann, Lucchini, Miyafuji, Sakamoto, and finally BIshop. They all played simulation to playing sports games and of course, they want to try the Space Engines and experience The Universe.

Yoshika: Man I wish everyone back at home could see this. They would be amazed!

Minna: I would like to see the Emperor react to the VR headset.
