Alex returns to the briefing room with his laptop. From the witches perspective, they described this laptop, colorful, majestic, and futuristic looking. 

All the witches glared at the laptop. They were fascinated with the design and all. This was because they have never seen such a device before. Of course, they came from 1944. Gaming laptops and PC were not invented yet. Alex placed the laptop on the table. He began typing real fast to enter his account. After that, he began going onto the internet. 

"Ooh! what is that!" Lucchini asked in fascination

"This is what you call, a laptop."

"This device, I have never seen such a device in my life." Minna said in awe

"What does it do?" Shirley asked

"Well it's kinda like a universal library. You can look up stuff. Like history, research, play games, and much much more." Anna said

The girls were awed by her answer. Miyafuji was more fascinated with this technology.

"Whoa so you can literally look up anything in the world and you can get good results?" Minna said as she chuckles

"Absolutely! Here come around, I would like to show you something" Alex said as he continued typing. 

The girls rushed behind Alex and began watching the screen. Alex typed in World War II on the search box. The results came in showing an event called "World War II" The Witches were wondering what was this World War II.

"um, what is this World War II?" Eila asked

"I also noticed the date September 1st, 1939 - September 2nd, 1945" Bishop said 

"September 1st, 1939 marks the Second Neuroi War," Perrine said 

There was an awkward silence for a moment, then Alex spoke.

"Before we go into that, we have to go back to the year 1914, the First World War. It all started in Sarajevo." Alex said as everyone nodded

Alex played a video on how the First World War started. Such as the assassination of Franz Ferdinand.

Minna: Franz Ferdinand is the Nephew of Franz Joseph. The Emperor of Ostmark at that time. But in this reality. He was assassinated?!!!! Who killed him?!

Alex: A young Serbian student named Gavirilo Princip. He assassinated him thinking he would threaten Serbian independence. After his assassination, Europe would eventually erupt. Ostmark declared war on Serbia, Serbia called on its ally Orussia, Then Karlsland would aid Ostmark. 30 days later, All of Europe is at war with each other.

Watching the footage was shocking to see that humans could actually go to war with each other at this level of destruction.

"Who won this World War?" Eila asked

"The Allies did, after they won, Germany surrendered and was highly blamed for the war. As a result, they were forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles. Germany has to pay a huge reparation to the Allies.  Not only that Emperor Wilheim II was overthrown and exiled. As for Russia..." Anna  said

Sanya shook nervously preparing to know what has happened to Russia in this universe.

"Well in the year 1917, A man named Vladimir Lenin successfully overthrew the Russian monarch and turned Russia and 15 other nations into one State called the Soviet Union. In terms of Russia becoming a dictatorship." Alex said 

Alex went into detail on what the ideals of Communism are and told them that Communism is something that you don't want. 

 "What is Communism?" Sanya asked

"all property is publicly owned or in case the state owns everything and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs."

"How does that work?" Mio asked

"It doesn't work," Anna said

Not to mention how they killed the Romanov Family. After hearing that Sanya was in tears hearing that the Tsar was overthrown. Not only that, the Karlslanders were also shocked to see that their own emperor was overthrown.

Alex shook his head.

"The German Empire finally collapsed and was replaced with the Weimar Republic. But it was also bad due to corruption and political parties being made. One of them was called the National Socialist Party."

 "The National Socialist Party?" Barkhorn asked

"The National Socialist Party is a far-right-wing political party. It was created by a man named Adolf Hitler." Anna said

After hearing that name, the Witches were silent 

"Ah.....Adolf Hitler?" Hartmann asked curiously

"Adolf Hitler? He is a very famous artist in Karlsland, in fact, our Emperor appointed him as the Vincent Vangough of the 20th Century." Minna said

"What is his life like?" Anna asked in a somewhat angry tone knowing that the HItler she knew was an evil psychopath

"He has a healthy relationship with his wife Eva Braun, a young daughter name Uschi Hitler, and he also has a dog named Blondi," Minna said 

Alex and Johnson were shocked to hear that Hitler was not a dictator but an artist.

"Does Hitler exist in your universe as well?" Barkhorn asked

It was silent for a few moments. Until Anna spoke up

"Ladies, I come from Germany and honestly I really don't want to talk about "HIM" and his so-called National Socialist party" Anna said

"Why? I mean I'm sure he isn't that bad in your universe" 

"Well let's start here, Adolf Hitler was the leader of a far-right political party called National Socialism. Him being a far-right meaning he was an extreme nationalist. His ideas were absolutely evil. He believed that the German people are considering a Superior Race.

"or he calls the German Race, Aryan Race" Alex said "He also had an ideal of an Aryan Race that is....

Alex pointed at Hartmann

"You...."

"Me?" Hartmann asked

" Hitler believed that the ideal of a Aryan race should be blonde Hair, blue eyes, and caucasian. In 1933, Hitler became the dictator of Germany. Immediately started his agenda. Such as putting the German people first, and such. But he also did some evil things behind doors. Alex then showed images of the Concentration Camps and how they were forced to do hard labor and such. Then they showed the German soldiers shooting people to their deaths. 

"What the hell!!!!" Minna whispered in a shocking voice

"They're wearing our uniforms!" Hartmann cried out

"Wait why are they shooting those people?" Barkhorn asked

"Because Hitler consider those types of people like Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Catholics, The Disabled and others a lesser Humans. Therefore he believed that they should go extinct."  

Minna made a fist on the table and began ranting about how her people would never do such acts, seeing they are honorable people. Hartmann was trying not to cry her eyes out. Seeing as she was considered Aryan. Barkhorn couldn't look at the screen. Alex continued to talk about the horrors of living in Germany during the 1930s and 1940s. All them were shocked to see how even he was.

After their ranting, Anna continued to talk about the Nazi Party and Hitler's Inner Circle. Such as Hermann Goring, Rudolf Hess, Julius Streicher, Wilhelm Frick, and even told about Heinrich Himmler as the leader of the SS or known as the Schutzstaffel. 

"Wait as in Heinrich Himmler? Himmler is the CEO of Himmler's Poultry in our timeline."

This is another shock for Alex and the Captain seeing that he is a chicken farmer instead of a hating fanatics SS leader.

"September 1st, 1939, was the day that changed the world forever. It ignited the Second World War. World War II is a conflict that occurred all over the world. Over a hundred nations fought against each other for land, resources, etc." Alex said

"How did this war start?" he asked

"It started when Hitler invaded Poland. The Germans wanted to regain lost territories after the First World War."

"I can't believe it! First, he goes off killing, and now he's invading other countries?!"

The video showed a summary of world war II. They all listen carefully and listened to Hitler's speeches and such.

Oval Office, White House

The President of the United States of America, Andrew Spacer was in the oval office, signing some new laws intact. Then the Secretary of State entered the President's room and came with a yellow folder.

"Mr. President, we got updates on the USS Gerald R Ford" The Secretary of State said

"What is it?"

Spacer then opened the folder and began reading. The papers said.

"The USS Gerald R Ford discovers a vortex in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. In the vortex, it leads to a Parallel Reality. The first people to come out were 11 teen girls who call themselves the Strike Witches. We believe they are the counter, famous aces of World War 2........."

After reading most of the information, Spacer close the folder and said to the Secretary of State.

" thank you Mr. Secreatary! You are dismissed"

The 501st Witches continued to watch the atrocities of World War II. They were just horrified to see what Hitler has done to Germany. Racial Purity, Social Darwinism, and worse of all the Holocaust. 

"Someone needs to stop this monster!" Minna said

"Nobody tried to stop him. Not even the Neutral countries did anything to stop him. In fact, someone once said that The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing" 

-In 1935, Hitler enacted the Nuremberg laws which isolated the Jews and deprived them of their citizenship. 

-In 1938 Hitler unleashed Kristallnacht, a savage attack against Jews, destroying temples and businesses. and imprisoning thousands.

-Over the next three years, Hitler's armies conquered and occupied much of Europe. Including Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, France, Yugoslavia, Greece, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Parts of Russia. 

"Wait! What about Romanga or Italy? What did they do?" Lucchini asked

"Italy allied with Germany and embraced Fascism. The nation was run by Benito Mussolini. Not only that he was a dictator. Italy and Germany invaded France together." Alex said

Tears began to form in her eyes as she hugged Shirley in comfort. 

"What about my nation, Sumous or Finland in your universe?" Eila asked

"Finland allied with Germany because the Soviets invaded Finland to regain some claimed territories back. This started the Finnish-Soviet War or better known as the Winter War."

Sanya immediately woke up after hearing about the Winter War. 

"So.....we were enemies!!??"

Elia asked as she looked at Sanya. She looked horrified when she saw Sanya. Elia really loved Sanya and Sanya loved Elia back. They would never imagine the two becoming enemies or fighting against each other. 

"What about Fuso or Japan?" Mio asked

"Japan also allied with Germany."

Mio and Yoshika couldn't find words for what they have just heard.

"Wh-What! Are you kidding me!" Yoshika asked

"Japan did some horrendous war crimes dating back to the Annexation of Korea. Not only before World War II, but they also began to harass other nations like China. They began invading china and committed this terrible war crime called the Nanking Massacre."

As Alex explained what the massacre was, Mio was in tears and angered at the same time seeing how dishonorable they would cause. Yoshika was crying her eyes out seeing that this Parallel version of his people was nothing but cold-blooded murderers.

"I hope they get justice!!!!" Mio said

"As the war rages, the United States of America or Liberion still remained neutral and isolated from the war. Eventually, the US would be pulled to World War II. "

Shirley: Isolated? Why America is Isolated? How did Liberion or America enter the war?

"Well, the combination of the Great Depression and the memory of tragic losses in World War I contributed to pushing American public opinion and policy toward isolationism. For your second question, On December 7th, 1941, a day that will live in infamy. The Empire of Japan or known as Fuso launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. The result was crippling the US navy." Johnson said

Alex then showed some pictures of Pearl Harbor being under attack by the Japanese

These pictures were powerful enough to shock Shirley, Mio, and Yoshika. She almost cried, she know a lot of people at Pearl. Mio on the other hand slammed her fist into the table yelling and ranting about how dishonorable it was while Yoshika continued to sob.

"The most casualties were the USS Arizona with over a thousand sailors and crew dead. Even to this day, bodies are still trapped under there, plus an oil leak. A day after this attack, President  Franklin D Roosevelt made this speech" Johnson said

After they were watching the speech that Roosevelt made, Shirley couldn't believe that Roosevelt also existed in this universe. Not only that the US declared war on Japan. 

"As the US entered the war, the US-allied itself with the allies to fight against Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan."

"Hold on you didn't go into detail about what was this Holocaust thing," Perrine said

"The holocaust is a very dark topic. It was the genocide of Jews during World War II. Hitler and its allies would be responsible for murdering over six million Jews, and nearly one million other undesirables such as Gypsies, Homosexuals, Catholics, and the Disabled.  Of the nearly seven million murdered more than one and half million were children."

Alex told them what methods they used to kill them such as execution squads, medical experiments, and death camps. He even told them about the concentration camps that were built all over Europe, and how they use poison gas to gas their victims in these chambers. 

"The worst one of all was Unit 731," Johnson said

"What is that?" Yoshika asked nervously

"Unit 731 took place in Manchuria China. It was disguised as a water-purification facility, but in reality, it is much worse. You see, The Imperial Japanese conducted lots of lethal experiments on Chinese civilians and POWs. During the war and before." 

"It was a sickening human experiment. They would take women, men, children, babies, and even pregnant women. They would rape women to force pregnancy, vivisection, biological warfare, weapons testing, syphilis, and worse of them all, frostbite testing. You can say this is the Japanese Holocaust" Alex said

Alex showed the disturbing pictures of the Holocaust and Unit 731. Every witch put their hands over their mouth. Some of them even started crying as the Karlslanders, Barkhorn,  Hartmann, and Minna were in tears seeing these poor innocent people getting killed and living in these terrible conditions. Yoshika was sobbing in tears and Mio was trying to hold her tears back as she wiped her eyes. 

"Just....why......why would they do such evil!" Mio asked

"Why did my own people would commit such crimes!!?" Yoshika said

"I couldn't only imagine how Hitler's daughter would react to seeing her father in this situation." Minna said

"I know," Hartmann said

"Where are they now?" Anna asked

"Hitler and his family are refugees in Britannia. They are currently staying in a home." Minna said

They ended that topic after talking about Hitler. They now moved on to other events such as D-Day, French Liberation, the Battle of the Bulge, and Hitler's death. The Witches were happy to see this evil version of Hitler is dead for good. 

"Did this end the war?" Bishop asked

"No, Japan on the other hand didn't want to surrender." Alex said

Yoshika was able to calm down and speak again.

"So how did Japan surrender?"

"The United States began The Manhattan Project. We were able to create these bombs that could make Japan surrender. Our first bomb is called Little Boy. We dropped it onto the city of Hiroshima."

After watching the film, they finally saw the aftermath photos. It was shocking to see they have created weapons that can destroy a city within seconds instead of days. 

Alex: Japan refused to surrender after the first bomb. The second bomb, Fatman is deployed over Nagasaki. Casualties were high as over 100,000 people were killed. Then on September 2nd, 1945 Japan officially surrender to the allies fully and unconditionally. 

"What were the casualties after the war," Eila asked nervously

"World War 2 claimed the lives of 75-80 million people, 20 million military dead, and 45 million civilians dead," Alex said

There was just silence. You can literally hear a pin drop somewhere in the room. Minna places her hand on her face only showing half of her face. Lucchini was shaken after hearing the casualties. Sanya who couldn't sleep anymore laid onto Elia's shoulder in shock. 

"I'll let you ladies try to process this."

Alex nodded as the three walked out of the briefing room. As they did, they let them have some privacy. Hartmann was traumatized after hearing about the atrocities of World War II. Lucchini held tight onto Shirley's jacket for comfort.
