A/N: OH MY GODS I HAVE NOT UPDATE FOR TWO WEEKS I AM SOO SORRY!!! I just needed to take a break from everything for this winter break! I'm sooo sorry I was not able to update. But HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!! XD ;) I'll see you at the bottom.

Lexi POV:

"Alexis! Connor! We need to get in the car now!" Mom's voice calls from the front of our apartment.

"Coming mama!" I yell from my room. "Let's go Connor!"

"Race you there!" He says before sprinting off to the door. We had just gotten back from school where there had miraculously been an explosion that was blamed on the two of us. But we didn't do it

"Hey! That's not fair!" I exclaim, running after him. We run to my mom, who is frantically grabbing our stuff and leads us to the car.

"Mama? Are we going somewhere for my birthday today?" I ask.

"Y-yes we are!" She says brightly, driving down the road keeping an eye behind us. "We're going on a little adventure today."

"Yay! This is going to be fun! Right Connor?" I ask him.

"Yeah!" He exclaims. "Ms. Carson, where are we going?"

"Somewhere saf-s-special Connor. Now I need you two to keep your heads down below the seats okay?" She says.

"Like we are hiding?" I ask.

"Exactly Lexi! It's l-like a game. There are bad people outside and if you keep your head down they won't see you."

"Okay mama!" I say and duck my head down. Connor does the same and playfully nudges my shoulder. This soon escalates and we are messing with eachother again.

"Lexi! Connor! Stop messing ar-" My mom says when the glass in front of her shatters. Her head hits the steering wheel hard and the car swerves onto incoming traffic. I peek out the front window as the car swerves and I see a man, with a mask covering his face and something silver instead of an arm.

The car is slammed by an semi and I am thrown against Connor. Then everything feels weightless for a brief moment and my stomach does twists inside me.

Then the car his the water. And starts to fill up with water. And I don't see my mom anywhere.

Connor is beside me, slumped over me. I shake him frantically, hoping that he wakes up. Then the car completely fills with water. I grab Connor's hand and swim out of the shattered windshield. I break the surface, holding Connor's head above the water. In my fright I don't even realize I was breathing underwater.

We float for what seems to be hours. Until my feet hits a stony beach. I drag Connor onto the beach and collapse next to him. Just before everything goes black, I hear voices speaking.

"Someone get Zoe and Chiron! Get Percy too! He can get the water out of their lungs. Hang in there, my name is Bianca, you're going to be alright."

I wake up from my dream, gasping for air. I glance over at Connor who is deep asleep.

That may have been a dream but it felt too real. I look over at the clock and it reads 3:00 am. Great.

I flip off the covers and walk quietly to the bathroom, washing my face before flipping my pillow around and falling back asleep, hoping that in the morning I won't remember this.

But as usual the fates hate me.

Connor POV:

"Lexi...." I say, sitting by her bedside. "Lex, babe, time to get up."

She groans and shields her eyes from the sunlight pouring in from the window. "Five more minutes Connor...."

"I agreed to that fifteen minutes ago." I smirk, giving her a kiss on the forehead. She groans and I pull her up.

That's when I notice something. She has put up a pretty good front, but something definitely is bothering her. Her face seems bright but her eyes tell the real story. And its not her tired face...I have to deal with that almost every morning. This is definitely different.

"Lexi, you okay? Somethings bothering you....." I say, looking her in the eyes. Her smiles melts away and she looks down, snuggling up against me. I wrap my arms around her, drawing circles on her back to comfort her.

"It was on the last mission...." she says trailing off. "We were trying to take out a base of some stupid organization......and then me and the one girl on the team got into the systems of the organization...a-and I found out they were the people who k-killed my mom." She says before breaking down.

I envelope her in a hug as she cries on my shoulder, and I draw circles on her back. Lexi has had such a hard life that most demigods will never have to face. It's horrible the things we have been through, her mom getting shot right before our eyes. Then losing people she cared for at camp. Bianca di Angelo, Michael Yew , Silena, Beckendorf, and her worry for the seven when they left on their quest for Greece.

Her sniffles quiet down and she murmurs something into my shoulder. "And I guess it doesn't help that I killed my first person then too. I'm a monster Connor."

I pulled her sharply off of me so I could look her in the eyes. "Don't ever say that again Lexi. You aren't the monster here. Those people we fight against, as SHIELD agents and Avengers are the real monsters. You have nothing to be guilty over."

She sniffles again and wipes her eyes. "All right...I think I'm good. I'm so sorry about that, I just had a nightmare last night and I guess that didn't help with anything."

"Don't apologize, I'll always be there for you." I smile at her before she grabs me with another hug. I pull her close and kiss her hard on the lips. She kisses back with just as much force. Normally our kisses are sweet and tender but today is different. It's filled with anger, sadness and love, something I never would have expected. We pull away too soon, our foreheads pressed together. "I love you Lexi."

She smiles, "I love you too, Connor." And my heart soars.

"Okay lovebirds, times up." An annoying voice calls from the doorway. The two of us spring apart, the blush creeping into our faces to find the one and only Tony Stark smirking at the two of us. " I hate to interrupt your little moment here but breakfast is ready downstairs. Since Lexi is the only one who can cook and no one else can make edible food, Jarvis just made waffles."

Lexi groans and wipes the sleeps out of her eyes. "What was this Stark, a wake up call?"

"Nah Elsa, it's a heads up. The team is playing laser tag in forty minutes. Romanoff versus Legolas. So you two might want to get ready."

"Okay Tony," Lexi says. "You've made your point, now shoo before you get wet."

"Really Elsa? Shoo?" Stark teases.

I roll my eyes and Lexi waves her hand at him, creating a giant glob of water right in front of Tony.

"Don't test me Stark." She smirks, raising an eyebrow. Dam she looks good when she's threatening people. (A/N lol another dam joke)

He looks at her with wide eyes and nods rapidly, running out the door. She laughs and waves her hand again and the water evaporates. "Works every time."

I laugh and pick her put bridal style. "Connor!" She protests laughing, the sadness from earlier clearly gone.

I drop her in front of her bathroom and give her a quick peck on the cheek. "I'll see you downstairs."

She nods and shuts the bathroom door. I walk out of her room and walk down the hallway to the glass stairs past Romanoff and Barton's rooms.

"Hey! Shield-Boy finally decided to join us." Tony calls from the kitchen and I raise an eyebrow.

"Really? Shield-Boy?" I ask. Barton smirks and Romanoff nudges him.

"Everyone has a nickname." Romanoff says. "Just go with it before he comes up with a worse one. Oh and I want you on my team Connor."

I nod to my SO and sit down at an empty seat grabbing a waffle. "So I'm guessing Lexi is going to be on your team Barton."

"Yeah, I figured her and Cap." He replies.

"What! You're leaving me with Tony!" Romanoff asks, surprised.

"Gonna pretend I didn't hear that." Tony calls from down the hallway.

"Yeah pretty much." He smirks. She shoves him in the shoulder and he chuckles.

"Uh-oh." Lexi laughs, sliding down the railing on the stairs. "He's laughing. Nat what stupid thing did Clint do now?"

She snorts and Clint looks at her both hands in the air. "Why does everyone always think its me?!"

"Cuz it always is you." Lexi, Romanoff and I say at the exact same time. We laugh and Lexi fist-bumps Romanoff.

"Well, I'm going to go set up. You coming Hawkeye?" Romanoff asks.

"I'll be there soon." He says. She walks away and disappears down the hall as Lexi and I polish off our last waffle.

"When are you going to tell her?" Lexi asks casually. I look at her confused and Barton facepalms. "Not now Lexi, just go and finish your freaking waffle." He says and abruptly gets up, ruffles her hair, walks away in Romanoff's direction.

"What was that all about?" I ask her.

She smiles. "You'll find out, eventually. Anyway you ready to go?"

I nod and toss my trash out, wrapping my hand around her waist before kissing her on the cheek.

"Let's go babe."

Lexi P.O.V.

(About an hour later)

"How did you guys freaking win!" Tony says, walking out of the laser tag room.

"Maybe its because you lost Stark?" Clint says. I laugh and Natasha nudges him in the gut.

"Not my point Legolas. We had freaking Romanoff! How did we lose!" Tony says indignantly.

"I'm sorry I had Barton and Lexi tailing me the entire time!" She says sternly. Stark puts his hands up and backs down.

Clint and I share a knowing look. Nat's not really mad, she just likes to make Stark think that.

"Okay guys, want me to make something?" I ask, since I'm normally the one who cooks around here besides Pepper. I receive a chorus of "Nah",  "I'm good", and "a Scotch."

Everyone turns and gives Tony a look.

"What?! She asked what I wanted!" He replies.

"Really? Asking a fifteen year old to get you a drink. Real classy Stark." Barton says. "I'll be in the vents if anyone needs me."

Barton walks away and disappears down the hall.

"I should probably go find the birdbrain before he gets stuck." Nat says before taking off down the same hallway. Cap murmurs a goodbye and excuses himself, while Tony grumbles about not getting his scotch until its just Connor and I.

"So Connor, when do you have to be back at SHIELD." I ask him, trying to change the subject away from our teammates.

"Well, I need to be back to Insight tomorrow, it's rare that Pierce gives us this kind of break." He says. "What about you?"

"Um, I actually don't know." I say thinking about what I have to do next. Unlike most people, I don't exactly have my life together, so I don't know what I'm doing five minutes from now.

Then my SHIELD phone buzzes. I groan and look over at Connor. "This was supposed to be our day off!"

"Its okay, we'll probably have more time once Insight is almost completed." He says, smiling. "We're good okay?"

"Okay Connor." I smile, kissing his quickly on the lips. "I'll see you later then."

I remove myself from his embrace and walk down the hallway and into the stairwell. Down a few stairs into a hallway with no audio or camera. Yeah, I had to find one of these so I could make SHIELD calls from the tower. I pull out my phone from my pocket and after taking a deep breath, I hit answer.

"Agent Carson speaking."

"About time Lexi." Someone says on the other end.

"Agent Hill? What's up?" I say, confused.

"We have a new recruit coming in today and I need you to give them an orientation of the compound. She's going to be stationed at the Triskelion but she has order to learn and visit a few of the other major SHIELD bases."

"Sounds simple enough." I say.

"Oh you'd be surprised on this one Lexi. She hates everything. Literally everything."

"Great...one of those. What's her name again?"

"Uhh, Jessica Segal. Agent Segal's twin sister." Maria replies.

"WHAT!?"

Once again I am incredibly sorry that I haven't been able to update anything. I really needed to take a couple weeks just to relax and not deal with school or anything. But I'm back!! And I'll try to keep to our weekly schedule.
