It's been a week since we returned from the Shadow Organization. I got moved into the advanced power control class, and have become a Private First Class in army. So far, everything was going okay. Melody and I are helping to set up the decorations for the upcoming dance on Friday. Amber had left me alone for the most part, and now I fit in. I had just put the finishing touches on the entrance to the gymnasium, when the school alarm goes off. She jumps up, and I follow suit.
"Another school is attacking. Head to Army and help them out." Melody says to me, and I nod then race off. Entering the barracks, everyone was scrambling. Kirby sees me and passes me some armor.
"I don't have to remind you to be careful, but please, don't do anything stupid." He kisses me then darts away to go to the front. I apply the armor and Sergeant looks at me.
"Alright Fairfield, head to the front and stay near Smith. If things start going wrong, fall back to Marshall and protect the other students." He commands. I nod and grab my pack of throwing knives. When I reach the front, I see Philip and vault over to him.
"Sergeant said I'm with you." I explain. He nods and we face the enemies. Looking at the insignia on their armor, they are from Hazelwood Academy. A beam of light shoots at me, but I use my powers to swipe it away. I toss throwing knives, aiming for the limbs of the enemies. We weren't meant to kill, only wound. Sometimes though, casualties do happen. People have even been taken prisoner. Suddenly, reinforcements arrive and the front is quickly overwhelmed. I fall back to help Sam protect the regular students. Sam was great at wielding a spear. I couldn't understand how anyone would use something so large and clunky. Beams of all different elements come at me. I focus my powers, and levitate above the fray. The other school stopped and stared.
"She's a Darkness Wielder!" Someone exclaims, then suddenly, they all attempt to reach me. All of them had hate and malice in their eyes. Arrows came flying at me, but I dodge, and teleport to the other side of the school. Samuel is there with Drew. Drew was tending to wounded soldiers, while Samuel had a freaking Dragon protecting them.
"Guys we have a problem." I say. They look at me.
"What's wrong?" Samuel asks.
"The front is losing ground, and the entire other army is after me." I reply quickly.
"Go to the headmaster. He will protect you." Drew tells me. I nod and launch myself into the school. Students were scrambling about, while I head to the headmasters office. I knock on the door and it opens. It's just the headmaster and Kirby.
"What's wrong?" The headmaster asks.
"Well the front is losing ground fast, and the entire other school is after me." I explain.
"What did you do?" Kirby questions.
"I just levitated above the madness to get a clearer view...." I answer meekly.
"Only very powerful Wielders can levitate...." The headmaster states. I shrug, and look at Kirby.
"How do we drive them off? Now that they know she is here, they won't retreat." Kirby wonders. Suddenly, Serena bursts in.
"The other school has taken Amber." She gasps. All of us just gape. Amber is gone? Inwardly I rejoice, but on the outside I turn to look at the headmaster.
"What do we do?" Kirby questions.
"We need to rescue her of course. Kirby, I need you to assemble a team of some more powerful wielders. But you can't take Zinnia." The headmaster states.
"Why not?" Serena asks.
"They want her to go. They will capture her and probably torture her because they believe she is evil." Kirby takes my hand as he says this.
"You better come back." I whisper to him. He nods and kisses my forehead, then leaves with Serena trailing behind. I look at the headmaster.
"They aren't gonna stop until they get me..." I tell him. He sighs.
"That is why while the team is gone, I'm sending you to Wisteria Academy out in the mountains. It's secluded, never attacked, and the headmistress there will keep you safe." The headmaster looks at me. I shake my head.
"No...no I won't leave. I'm not gonna be the new kid again!" I cry.
"You can come back as soon as everything settles down." He adds.
"I'm not going unless Kirby goes." I state. The headmaster throws his hands up.
"Fine. I'll assign Jeremiah to the squad instead. Let me call down Kirby then you can pack everything up." He walks to his desk and calls Kirby to his office. I smirk and sit to wait for kirby. He walks in a few moments later.
"You wanted to see me?" Kirby asks.
"I'm sending Zinnia to Wisteria Academy and she insists on not going unless you go with her. Normally I would send her anyway but....I feel as if she will cause mayhem if I do." The headmaster explains. Kirby sighs and looks at me.
"I can't be with you 24/7 Zinnia. You need to understand." Kirby murmurs. I nod.
"I know....but I don't wanna be without you." I look into his eyes.
"I'll go with you. And I'll do whatever I can to keep you safe. You are my soulmate after all." Kirby tells me. I blink and just stare at him.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"The wall that went up, was made of only Darkness, meaning your soulmate is a Darkness Wielder. And I was the only one around both times when it went up." Kirby smiles. I hug him tightly. Kirby....my soulmate.
"Well then you have to go. It's dangerous for soul mates to be apart." The headmaster adds. I smile then Kirby walks with me to our dorms so that we can pack. The headmaster decided we should change our names, to remain hidden. I would be Alexia and Kirby would be Kiel. We weren't allowed to tell anyone, but I understood why. It was to keep my friends safe. As night was approaching, Kirby and I head to the helipad. We get into the helicopter that would take us to the new school, and I lay my head on his shoulder. Suddenly, someone up front turns and grins wickedly. I gasp and squirm to jump out, but we were trapped.
"Hello again Zinnia. So glad you could join us." The person says. It was my stepmom. We land at the new school, and I'm pulled from Kirby.
"Zinnia!" He yells and tries to reach me, but is restrained.
"Kirby!" I cry out as I'm pulled towards a building away from the school. Focusing, I send a thought to him.

I'm thrown into a cell, and locked in.
"Why are you doing this!" I scream.
"You will help us take over, or we will kill your friend." My stepmom says as she walks in.
"But until then, you will make a nice toy for the men here. You're such a little whore, I'm sure you will feel at home." She sneers and leaves laughing. I curl up in a corner and cry. How am I supposed to get out of here, when no one knows where I am?
