~Hailea's POV~

Everyone seems kind of skeptical that I knew this place would be empty. Honestly I have no idea how I knew. All I wanted to do was get my friends to a safe place. I've been practicing with each person trying to control my powers now that I can use all six. Today I was working with Philip.
"Alright Hailea, tell me how you controlled your powers of Darkness." He looks at me.
"Well I kinda focus on my powers and will them to do what I want." I explain. He nods.
"With Light, you must focus on the power as your friend, and ask it to do what you need. Don't command it." He tells me. I nod and face the make-shift target. Focusing on the feeling of Light, I ask it to send a beam of its power to the target for me. Moments pass and nothing happens. I try again still with no luck. After trying for another thirty minutes, I'm getting pretty angry. Screaming in frustration, a blast of fire torches the target.
"Don't worry about it Hailea. You will get it eventually." Philip tries to console me.
"And if I don't? How can I expect to save the world when I can't control all of my powers! I'm useless!" I shout and fire engulfs Philip. He just sighs and puts the flames out.
"You aren't going to figure it out all at once. It takes time. And it's probably because your true power is Darkness that you're having so much problems." Serena comments as she treads over to us. Running my fingers through my hair, I sigh and sit on the ground.
"Why does it have to be so hard?" I look at them both.
"Cause if it wasn't then you wouldn't learn anything. Maybe you need some motivation." Philip whistles and Sam appears.
"I'm going to blast Sam with my powers. Either stop it with light magic, or he gets hurt. Your call." Serena lifts up her hand and a green glow starts emanating from it. Emmy appears and joins her. Blasts shoot towards Sam. I focus my thoughts hard.

Please. Help me protect my friend!!

I squeeze my eyes shut. Everything was quiet. Opening my eyes, I see the magic wall protecting Samuel, but it was made of Darkness and Light. Sam sighs in relief and Philip looks at me.
"We entirely forgot about the soulmate thing. But your powers answered your call for help by forming the wall. Great job Hailea." Philip congratulates me. Everyone pats me on the back. I go over to Samuel and hug him tightly.
"Alright, why don't we work on fire since you already kinda got it started?" Eddie suggests. I nod and everyone disperses except Philip and Melody.
"Fire is more than just aggression. Water and Fire are very similar but you have to remember the heat and warmth of fire. Think of something that makes you feel warm inside." Eddie explains. I think of the time Kirby and I spent together and all the great friends I have. Smiling, I raise my hand and aim for the target.

Fire please show us your warmth....

The target bursts into flames.
"I did it!" I shout. We decide to take a break after a few more blasts and head into the castle for some lunch. Drew whips up a nice meal and we sit in the throne room just chatting away like normal teenagers. It felt nice. That's when I got an idea.
"Hey guys! Why don't we go for a swim in the ocean?" I suggest. They all look around.
"But....we don't have swim suits..." Melody comments. Focusing my thoughts, I commanded my powers of Darkness to create a swim suit for me.
"Woah! That's so cool how did you do that?!" Serena gasps.
"I got my power to do it for me..." I explain. I was in a purple bikini with black stars on it. Melody stands up and she's suddenly wearing a one piece blue swim suit with lighter blue stripes. Serena quickly follows, in a mint green floral print bikini. Philip ended up with gold and white swim trunks, Eddie with red, drew with gray and silver, and Sam had black with purple in it. I hit Serena's shoulder.
"Tag you're it!" I yell and we all scramble towards the sea. She caught Philip while the rest of us slowed to a stop at the small cliff that led to the ocean. Eddie looks at each of us.
"Last one in has to clean up!" He shouts and jumps into the water below. Melody laughs and dives into her element. I grab Sam's hand and we get a running start to jump in. We are followed by Drew, Serena, and finally Philip. Melody and I team up and use the power of water to splash the others and speed us through the waves.
"No fair!" Sam yells and I dive under, getting the water to help me breathe. Swimming over to him, I pull him under and kiss him. We break the surface still kissing and someone splashes us with water.
"Get a room!" Eddie calls out and we all laugh and have a good time. At the end of the day, we trek back up to the castle and change into normal clothes. Eddie and I create a little campfire and Drew pulls out some marshmallows. Sam and I have a contest to see who could eat the most before getting sick. Ultimately, Eddie is the winner. I look over at Philip and I see him on his own, not hanging with the rest of us. Kissing Sam on the cheek, I go over to Philip.
"Hey are you okay?" I ask. He shrugs.
"I miss Emmy." He sighs. I hug him.
"When everything calms down, we can all be together. I promise." I murmur. He nods and joins all of us around the campfire.
"Well guys I think it's time to go to bed. We gotta train hard tomorrow if we ever want to beat him." Drew announces.
"Come on Drew you hate fighting. Before we go to bed, why don't we kind of tell our origin stories of how we discovered our powers and stuff." Melody comments. We all agree, and the rest of them look at me to begin.
