~Samuel's POV~

Zinnia is still asleep in the infirmary. The headmaster won't let anyone near her. Soon, they would send her home with no memory of having powers. No memory of any of this. Everything that's happened from her first day at Strike Academy, will be gone. Melody and I never leave the area for long. In one hour, they would bring in someone skilled in memory magic. They will take away my soulmate. I can't take this anymore, so I storm up to the headmaster's office.
"They can't take her! She's my soulmate!" I yell. The Headmaster sighs.
"Your soulmate bond was broken when her powers were stripped. She is no longer a part of our world, so the soulmate rules don't apply." The Headmaster explains coldly. I glare at him, and leave without another word.
Down in the gardens, the trees were losing leaves, and the flowers wilting. The Earth Wielders had no idea why, and they couldn't stop it. It was almost like the school was mourning the loss of Zinnia. I find melody sitting next to the fountain.
"Are you alright Melody?" I ask her. She shakes her head.
"She's gone Sam. We can never get her back." Her voice cracks and I sit next to her. Serena walks over with Eddie.
"I was so horrible to her..." Serena murmurs. Eddie pulls her close and we all sit together. Drew, followed by Emmy and Philip join us. I pick a flower next to me, and realize what it is. It's the flower Zinnia was named after.
"There will be one..." Melody starts.
"Who will correct the balance...." Serena says next.
"And protect the world of the Wielders." Drew adds.
"Darkness is predominantly male..." I take my turn.
"And this savior will be female." Philip looks at everyone.
"In order to correct the balance..." Eddie murmurs.
"She must bond with the six." We all conclude together. Everything starts to shudder. We all stand up, and a ball of power bursts to life in between all of us.

You are the six. The heroine has created bonds with each of you. And now, if you send a blast of your power to me, I can restore her, and more.

We all stared at each other. This floating orb was speaking to us. I clench my fists.
"I'll do it. To restore Hailea. Not Zinnia." I claim.

Zinnia has been to hurt to be any use. But if she were Hailea again, without the burdens of what the S.O. did, she will be much more powerful.

The orb confirms what I said.
"For Hailea." Melody nods to me. Serena, Drew, Philip and Eddie stand up and we face the orb.

It must go in the order of how Hailea met you.

Melody closes her eyes. I raise my hands to send a blast of darkness.
"Sam what are you doing she met me first!" Melody exclaims. I shake my head.
"I'm the one who greeted her when she first arrived. I have her the tour of the school." I explain, then blast the orb with my power. It turns black and purple. Philip goes next, and the orb changes to a swirling mass of gold, black, and purple. Then it was Melody's turn. Blue was added into the swirling. Drew takes his turn, followed by Eddie. Silver and red joined the swirl of colors. Finally, it was Serena. She looks around at all of us, and then adds her powers to the mix. As the green swirled with the rest of the colors, the orb started shining brighter and brighter, until none of us could stand to look.

At midnight tonight, bring the girl to the gardens. She will then be restored.

The orb disappears, but I knew it was still there. I could sense it. Serena and Eddie decided to check the infirmary, while Drew and Melody take off together.
"Sam, wait here and guard the area. I'm gonna go find Emmy and look for Zinnia. Alright with you?" He looks at me. I nod and he races off.

~Melody's POV~

I take off with Drew to check anywhere inside the building she might be. She isn't in the dorms, so we run to the cafeteria. No one was there. The army room, nothing. We have no idea where is. I use my powers to check where she is in the fountains, but it doesn't work.

~Philip's POV~

I find Emmy in the gym, and race over to her.
"We need your help to find Zinnia." I explain.
"Why? She hurt people of my hometown." She says coldly.
"It was an accident she couldn't control her powers. We need to find her. Please..." I look into her grey eyes, hoping for understanding. She finally nods, and we look around all outside the building. There was no sign of Zinnia anywhere.

~Serena's POV~

This is all my fault. We wouldn't have to find her if I had just paid more attention. Eddie and I get to the infirmary and see no one at all. The place was deserted.
"What happened?" Eddie looks around. I shake my head.
"I don't know. The nurse is always here..." I breathe. We race back to the gardens to find Samuel, and everyone else.
"She wasn't at the infirmary...." Eddie tells them. Samuel's eyes fill with despair.
"There was also something really strange." I add. "No one was in the infirmary. No one at all."
Melody and Philip look at each other.
"There were no people in the places we looked either. The place is deserted." Philip comments.
"Well then how are we supposed to find her!?" Melody shouts. I bite my lip and Eddie wraps his arms around me. Samuel picks up the flower and takes deep breaths.
"I might be able to find her. I am her soulmate." He looks around to each of us. Melody steps forward.
"But shouldn't it not work anymore since she has no power?" Melody asks, strained. Samuel shrugs.
"I say we give it a try at least." I whisper. Others nod, and Samuel centers himself to find her.
A few moments pass, and nothing happens. Samuel throws down the flower and stalks off.

~Samuels POV~

I sit in a hidden grotto in the garden. Of course the soulmate thing didn't work. Zinnia is gone. She's Hailea again. With my head in my hands, I tried again, this time focusing on Hailea. Feeling something, I followed it.

Hailea....
What! Who is this? Why are you in my head?

I connected my mind to hers!

My name is Samuel. I'm a friend. Trust me. Meet me at Strike Academy at 11. Can you do that?
....yeah. I'll be there.
Thank you.

After I cut off the connection I run back to the others.
"She will be here tonight at 11!" I exclaim. Melody looks at me.
"You mean it worked?" She questions. I nod and everyone laughs and smiles. We would have her back.
