|Ch.3| Sludge: Part Two
(Song: twenty øne pilots - heavydirtysoul)
Small A/N:
The first few chapters of this story are going by the script of the first episode, but I swear, it gets more original in the next few chapters.
1:02PM: The Same City
(Y/N's P.O.V.)
I hand the man up front my yen as he bags my new swim-gear, my mind lost in the thought of the boy's eyes. He hands me the bag, my change, and the receipt before waving me a polite goodbye, which I return as I exit the store.
A woman shrieks in terror as she is knocked to her backside just to my left. A man in the store just a small ways away waves his fist in the air as a green blur flies past, knocking me back against the store window. I gasp as the sludge-like substance flies down the road, laughing. "Hey, get back here!" The shop owner yells angrily. "Someone stop that monster!"
"Yell all you want, sucker, this cash is mine!!!" The villain cackles as he progresses down the sidewalks. He slams into a light pole, but is unaffected by it, as he passes straight through without a moment to lose. I breath heavily as I step out into the open, my eyes wide with fear.
"Weird, where are all the heroes?" I overhear a man next to me ask.
"Maybe they're all still busy from that scene this morning," Another guesses quietly. "'Member when we didn't have to worry about randos with Quirks all the time?" He asks. I look behind us at a thinner man with blue eyes, stepping out of a grocery store beside the clothing shop.
"Seriously, there's no stopping 'em." The thin, lanky man begins to change, his body becoming muscular and his hair straightening out, his look bulking up until he is the recognizable face of All Might, Japan's most popular hero. He has an alter ego?! I ponder as the hero grins.
"Yes there is," All Might booms, grabbing the attention of the men beside me. They gasp at the sight of the hero. He steps into the light, placing his hands on the shoulders of the shocked citizens. "You know why...?" The sludge villain ahead of us turns and gasps in fear, slowing his speed at the sight of the hero.
"I am here!"

(Third Person P.O.V.)
Izuku picks up his notebook and begins to drop it into his bag, stunned after earlier's incident. Katsuki has other plans, however, as he grabs the booklet and begins to fan himself with it, snarling at the young boy before him. "I dunno what you think you're doin', Deku, but we're not done." He growls.
"What'cha got? His diary?" One of Katsuki's followers asks, a smug grin on his face. The blonde tilts the book backwards for the boys to see. "Huh? Don't tell me you're taking notes on how to be a hero! That's so pathetic!" They laugh teasingly.
"He's delusional!"
"Yeah, r-real funny, guys," Izuku whimpers, standing up to reach for the book. "Just give it back..." Katsuki punches the book between his other hand, explosions firing across the paper and scorching it beyond return. Izuku shrieks in protest as Bakugou tosses the booklet out of the window.
"Most first-string heroes show potential early on," Bakugou looks down at the freckled boy in anger. "People look at them and just know they're destined for greatness. When I'm the only student fro this garbage junior high to get into U.A., people'll start talkin' about me like that. They'll realize I'm legit, the next big thing. That's not ego talking, I just know I'm good."
"Ego...!" One of the boys mumbles under his breath. Katsuki doesn't seem to care as he places a hand on Izuku's shoulder, heating it up to scare his classmate.
"Here's a little word of advice, Nerd," Bakugou smiles in a condescending way. "Don't even think of applying, or else!" He lets go of Izuku and walks away, leaving the boy to stand there in fear.
"That's just sad!" One of the boys laughs. "I thought you at least had some fight in you."
"He finally gets it! He'll never be a hero," The other sneers. "Better to find out now instead'a later, I guess."
Katsuki stops at the door, turning his head back towards Izuku. "You know, if you wanna be a hero so badly, there might actually be another way," He laughs. "Just pray that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life, then take a swan-dive off the roof of the building!"
Izuku growls angrily, turning to Katsuki with a menacing glare. Katsuki makes explosions in his hand, grinning scarily. "Something wrong?" He asks.
Izuku only whispers helplessly.

"That was rough," One of Bakugou's followers murmurs as they walk through the alleyway. "Weren't you and Midoriya good friends back when you were kids?"
"Yeah, you were a little harsh with him today!" The other agrees.
"It's his own fault for gettin' in my way," Bakugou snarls, harshly kicking a soda bottle in front of him. It flies across the street and hits a pole, exploding open.
"You shouldn't waste your time on the guy,"
Bakugou ponders this for a moment, looking down at the ground. "Grrh... someone's gotta teach that worthless nerd how the world really works," He clenches his fist around the empty soda can in his hand, blowing it up. "I hate it when he talks heroes!" His friends chuckle.
"Hey, I've got an idea!" One says. "We should go to the Arcade! Get your mind off it, you know?"
"...Fine," Bakugou growls.
"Or, we could sneak into the bar at the station!" Katsuki's other friend laughs. "Pick up some ladies? Now that's a good idea!" He stuffs his hands in his pockets as a shadowy figure slithers across the ground behind them.
"Idiots!" Bakugou shrieks. "If we get caught, there's no way U.A. would let me in!"
The boys' gaze seems to be behind Bakugou, not on him. Their eyes are filled with fear as they watch the slime bubble into the air with a laugh.
"Hey, what's that?!" The two ask shakily, pointing behind the blonde. Bakugou turns.
"Perfect~!" The sludge villain growls, two beady eyes and a set of teeth glinting in the afternoon sunlight. Bakugou's eyes widen in fear. "I like a skin suit with some fire!"
All three turn to run, but the sludge pounces on them before they can, engulfing the three boys' bodies in an instant.
