POV: Em Rose

I startle to my feet, hearing the whinnies of horses in the distant. I cannot believe its only day two, lets get to the riding! I stroke my hair, as I sit up slightly on my bed. A yawn comes from my dad.

"what are doing up so early Em?" He yawns out.

"dad. Dad. Dad. It's day 2. it's 10:00 A.M. GET UP!"

"10 AM! NO WAY... I should have been up three hours ago!"

He startles to his feet faster than the speed of light. Quickly opening up his brown suitcases and diving off with a set of clothes. As he heads out, I grab my favorite riding outfit. A light blue and gray shirt, Tan breeches with my black bit belt. I put on my fun horse socks, which are a tint of blue with black horses all around them. My favorites! A noise comes from outside.

"Get up Everyone!! Today is day 2! We will ride today, so get your riding clothes one!" Oak Woods yells throughout the first floor. The elevator shifts into gear, and I can hear that she is headed to floor 2.

I slip my riding boots on, pure blue gold! My eyes follow the floor to a shelf, following directly to where I find my black riding helmet. AWESOME! I snatch and run outside to meet Oak Woods to prepare to ride! She is waiting by the door of the hotel, along with the rest of the group. My dad is there as well.

"Am I late?" I question.

"No Em, we are still waiting on one upstairs, actually I'm going to go and check on him.I will be right back," Oak replies.

She picks her feet up briskly and heads upstairs with the use of the elevator.

A few minutes later, she arrives, but this time she arrives with a teenage boy.

"Okie, let's go. It is time to meet our lesson horses!" She smiles brightly at us and leads us outside

Everyone is holding their helmets in their hands and are in their riding boots.

We walk down a dirt path, reaching a stable titled 'Creativity Stables.' The stables are unlike any I had ever seen, the grey wall shouting at me to enter. The colorful rainbow doors echoing to me. "

"Enter. Enter. Enter me!" It shouts my direction.

We all enter as a group. She guides us throughout the stables, reaching the horse stalls on the left side. She guides us to which horse we will be riding and shows us the way to the tack. We start with 3 to a group. The others will watch until it is their turn. I get to first pick to chose. Now the hard part..deciding.

First on the line of horses is a black and white Mare. Her name is Sweetie. She is sweet and kind, and is a appaloosa. I like her I do..but I want a more colorful horse!

Second in line. Is a colorful gelding. He is a unknown breed, was a rescue. He is believed to be a cross of a gypsy and Clydesdale. His name is Wolf. He is sure a beauty! For sure at the top!

Third in line is another gelding. A black beautiful Warmblood! He is for sure aged at 15. He is a school master, used to be a grand prix dressage horse. His name is Dreaming. This one might actually be at my top! WHAT A SHOW STOPPER!

Fourth in line is a mare. A very sweet mare, named Sugar. She is a Warmblood. Her age is 10. BEAUTIFUL!

Fifth in line is another gelding. His breed is believed to be a thoroughbred, age around 20. His name is Bravery. He is not my personal favorite, but a very pretty color.

Sixth in line. ITTSSS A BEAUTIFUL GELDING! His breed is again unknown, he was a rescue situation. He is an 8-year-old gelding. His name is Alfie. I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH! HIS COLOR IS PRETTY! ON TOP OF LIST! TOP! TOP TOP!

Seventh in line. Mare, 18 years old. Thoroughbred crossed with Paint. Very pretty color has a lot of experience, but I still like this one. Her name is Color Me.

Eighth in line. Gelding. 10 years old. Thoroughbred, off the track. Has been restarted off the track into a show jumper. Potentially for sale, OOOOHHHHHH interesting!!!! He goes by Ghost. He is second on my list.

Ninth in line. Gelding. 23 years old. Trained in dressage, but was pulled from competition at age 20 to become a lesson horse. He goes by Shadow.

Tenth in line. Last in line. Mare. Gray in color, very pretty. 15 years old. Her name is Bright. She is very calm, and a nice color. Is a jumper, but is recommended for higher leveled riders. WELL, that excludes me!

"so which one will you be going with, Em?" Oak questions me.

"Umm...thats hard...I think I will go with, Alfie!" I proudly reply.

"Sounds great, why don't you go and grab the black dressage saddle with the blue cover, and the gold bridle. His girth is on the rack with his saddle." I nod my head and head off towards the tack room.

Upon entering the tack room, I quickly spy the tack that belongs to Alfie. I snatch up the saddle and the bridle. What a beautiful bridle! I quickly pace myself back to his stall. Oak sets up his saddle rack beside his stall and grabs his brushes which are beside the beauty. I gently set the heavy saddle onto the rack, hanging up the bridle quickly after. She leaves me to brush him and moves onto the next riders.

I grab the blue curry comb from the bucket and gently rotate it around his body. His eyes begin to appear heavy, as he attempts to fall asleep. His bottom lip sagging. I let out a giggle, Oak comes to see what is the matter, she quickly lets outbursts of laughter. Alfie raises his head staring at us as if he is saying "Whatcha laughing about?"

A few more minutes pass, I am all saddled up, we all are. Oak leads us to the arena; where we get settled into our saddles. Sitting light as possible, but still in the saddle. I feel something close, with Alfie. He is surely a beauty!
