Anyways, I now give you Chapter 3 of Strength.  Consider this a late birthday present, as my birthday was a few days ago.  Here you go!

Marinette / Ladybug

"Ah!  Chat, WATCH OUT!" she screamed, watching her partner just barely dodge one of the beams their opponent was shooting from his arm blaster.

"Aww, you scared for me, M'lady?" he smirked, throwing her a knowing smile.  She blushed and turned away.

"Of course not, Kitty Cat!  I'm allowed to be worrie- HOLY CR-" she swore as a beam almost hit her.  Focus, Marinette!  Just finish this so you can go to bed.  And do your homework.  Welp, no sleep tonight.  PERFECT.

"My Lady, stay focused!" Chat yelled at her, and she nodded, looking back at the villain.  I should have gone back and stopped those bullies... uh... so... tired... wait!  Stay FOCUSED!

"We need a plan, Chat!" Ladybug called out to her partner, who nodded in agreement.  Both of their eyes were fixed on the akumatized victim, who was still trying to hit them with whatever weapon he had attached to himself.

"I am SHRINKANATOR!" the villain suddenly yelled out.  "You called me small, well... I'll show YOU who's small!" he laughed maniacally, aiming his weapon at a nearby tree, shrinking it down.  Both heroes gulped.  Each of them knew that they'd be done for if they got hit by that beam.  

"Ladybug, Chat Noir!  Hand over your Miraculouses to me, or prepared to be shrunk!" he added, his crazed smile growing wider.  A purple butterfly symbol appeared on his face, then disappeared.  Ladybug shrugged.  After seeing it countless times in various akuma battles, it didn't really bother her that much.  What did bother her, though, was seeing the look the akuma's face after the symbol vanished...

Finish this, quickly.

She ran up to Chat Noir, who was trying to use his baton to attack Shrinkanator.  "Chat, we need a plan," she told him, and he turned to her, his ears perking up a little.

So adorable...

"What did you have in mind, M'ladybug?" he asked her, looking tired himself.  "Maybe you could tie him up with your yo-yo-"

"And you can break his ray-thingy with your baton!" Ladybug finished eagerly, dodging a beam as she was talking.  She smiled at her partner.  "It's times like this I'm reminded how good of a team we are," she said happily.

Chat winked at her.  "I'm reminded of that every time I see you, M'lady," he said in a flirting tone, then vaulted up with his baton lauching himself at the villain.  She watched them fight for a little bit, and quickly realized that Chat Noir must have some kind of fighting or dueling experience in his civilian life.  The way he fought... he seemed so at ease... unlike her.  He really is- OH STARS  she thought when a beam almost hit her beloved friend, but then watched him quickly dodge it.  She sighed.

Kitty cat, do you want to give me a heart-attack!?

She rapidly looked at the fight scene again, then decided that this was the best time to attack.  "Take this!" she yelled, throwing her yo-yo string and quickly winding it around their opponent.  Soon enough, he was tied up and unable to move, and Ladybug arrived by her partner's side to clense the akuma.

"To easy, M'lady," Chat told her, panting a little.

"Yes, Chat, I agree-"

"You really should listen to your partner, Ladybug."

Ladybug turned to see Shrinkanator holding the head of her yo-yo, aiming his weapon at it.  "Say goodbye to your precious plaything," he said, laughing as he fired at it.

"NO!" Ladybug yelled, watching as the string around him disappeared- no, shrunk.  Quickly, Ladybug scrambled around on the dirt, looking for it.  Where is it where is it where is it-

"Hey!" Chat she heard Chat yell at the villain.  "It's not nice to take someone's things from them, yunno."

"Oh yeah?  Well, you would know the feeling," Shrinkanator said, not falling for one of Chat's comebacks.

"How?" Chat asked innocently.

"I will take your Miraculous from you, even if I have to rip your finger off to get it," Shrinkanator said, resonating with fury.  

Chat laughed.  "Well, you better catch me then!" he said happily, leading the villain away from her.  Thank you, Chat.

Now... where is it!?

She scuffled around the spot where Shrinkanator had been standing.

It should be here... somewhere... wait, is that-

Sure enough, a small red object stood apart from the brown earth and green grass, and sure enough, when she picked it up, it was her yo-yo, just a hundred times smaller.  She held it between her fingers.  "Geez, I hope I can still conjure Lucky Charms from this."

She ran over to where Chat was fighting the akuma, realizing that he was losing strength.  She knew it was now or never.

"Lucky-"

A cold hand grabbed her chin.

A mad smile met her face.  

"You're going to have to try harder than that, Ladybug."

She felt a sharp pain in her head, and everything went black.
