When the last school bell ended, Jeonghan rushed out of the building. He didn't want to show his face. Ever since this morning he's been trying to hide himself. Staying low and unnoticeable. But of course, that didn't work. It just left opportunities for him to be picked on.

People constantly shouting at him, pulling his hair. His sudden lack of confidence led to vulnerability. And everyone seemed to be taking advantage of it.

When he got home, he finished his homework almost immediately, then cleared the rest of his mind. Mentally preparing himself for the hell he was about to be dragged through.

There was a knock on his door 20 minuets later.

Jeonghan took a deep breath and opened the door for Seungcheol. Jeonghan looked at him and was intimidated in that single moment. The black haired boy stood tall above him, making him cower in fear. Seungcheol smirked.

"What's with you today, kid?" Seungcheol teased, "sad cuz your fake boyfriend broke up with you?"

Jeonghan snapped his head up and looked at Seungcheol.

"How do you know about that?"

"I know everything about everyone," the older simply replied, "now can I come in?"

Jeonghan let Seungcheol into his house and began to lead him to jeonghans bedroom that doubled as a mini office. Yes, it was very big.

Seungcheol looked around in awe.

"This is a bedroom?"

"Yeah," Jeonghan replied.

"Well, why is it so fucking big?"

"Why do you have to ask so many fucking questions?"

Seungcheol rolled his eyes and threw his backpack on the ground. He continued to look around the spacious room while Jeonghan fished his laptop out of his bag and began working on their project.

"Are you gonna help with this project at all?" Jeonghan asked, annoyed.

Seungcheol glared back at Jeonghan defensively.

"Chill out for a sec, I'm just looking around, damn."

Jeonghan sighed and focused his attention back on his computer screen. Meanwhile, Seungcheol found himself staring at a wall full of bookshelves, filled with hundreds of books.

"Have you read all of these?" He asked after a while.

Jeonghan looked up, surprised. Seungcheol sounded different than he usually did when he spoke. The way he was staring up at the endless sea of books made him seem less scary. And he sounded calm. Like maybe this was the way he sounded when he wasn't around other people that he needed to impress. He almost sounded child like, innocent. Jeonghan wasn't intimidated.

"Yeah," he replied.

One book caught Seungcheol's eye and he pulled it off the shelf and held it up.

"Even this one?"

Jeonghan looked over again to see him holding Looking For Alaska, his favorite book.

(Sorry, your author-nim just really loves John Green)

"Yeah, it's my favorite, actually?"

"Really?"

Jeonghan suddenly realized that the two were having a not, unpleasant conversation, and it made his stomach flop. He also remembered why Seungcheol was here in the first place.

"Yeah, now put it back, we have a project to do."

Seungcheol's facial expression changed to something Jeonghan was a bit more used. His mean mug returned as he put the book back and sat across from the blonde boy.

For a while, Jeonhan read things off from the Internet as Seungcheol took note on them. They did that for so long that they had lost track of time and it had already been 2 hours.

"Oh, it's already 7:00," the blonde stated, "maybe we should take a break."

Suddenly, Jeonghans mother came into the room holding a box of pizza.

"Are you boys hungry?" She asked.

"Oh, yes ma'am!" Seungcheol replied.

Jeonghan only stared at him. He'd never seen Seungcheol be... Polite before. At school he was defiant towards adults and mean to other kids. But he wasn't like he usually was. Not surly, not tense, he didn't look like he wanted to punch something. He smiled kindly at Jeonghans mom.

She set down the box on the desk and the boys started eating.

"Thank you!" Seungcheol called as Jeonghans mother left the room.

There was an uncomfortable silence as Jeonghan stared at Seungcheol with an expression that was half confusion and the other half disgust.

"What the hell was that?" He said, with a mouthful of pizza, breaking the silence.

"What?" Seungcheol snapped back, "is it against the law for me to be nice to someone?" He rolled his eyes, "at least I don't talk with my mouthful.

Jeonghan clenched his fist that wasn't holding pizza. He swallowed it all down before speaking again.

"You're a pretty big asshole for someone who knows so much about manners."

Seungcheol only rolled his eyes, and the silence returned.

Jeonghan thought for a long time if he should say something or just continue eating his pizza. Before long Seungcheol was up looking throqugh all of Jeonghans books again. He watched him as he pulled out books one by one and read the back cover, deciding if they're interesting or not.

Then, he remembered something from earlier this week and an idea popped into his head. Of course it wouldn't be as fun, not being in public while he did this, but it would be more of a personal accomplishment. He gained a bit of his confidence back.

"Hey, Seungcheol," he said, grabbing the older's attention, "why'd you get so flustered when I took my shirt off that day?"
