The Search Party is Found

(It's. Fragging. SPARKBREAKING!                ^^^^^^^^^)

~Roman's POV~

"(Y/N) we've been driving for DAYS."

I was starting to get tired of this stupid goose chase. We had gotten a tip from Soundwave about the Autobot medic, but there was no one at the sight. It creeped me out to be honest... it was a literal car graveyard... I think one was looking at me...

"I'm not going back until we find SOMETHING!" She fought, staring out into the deserts of I honestly could care less at this point, "You don't know them like I do... so you wouldn't understand my worry."

Sighing, I kept my eyes on the road. This is a moment when I really saw how much she had changed. It used to be just her and me. Roman and (Y/N) against the world! But, now, it's seems to be only me...

"Well, I can't go any longer... you might have to go as Wildstryke-"

"You know I can't do that," she replied, "Megatron watches me as if he were Soundwave."

         "Right... creepy."

"You took the words right out of my mouth."

A few minutes of silence passed by, until I saw an old expanse of road, abandoned, most likely used before this road was paved.

"How about we go and make a down and back run? Something to take our mind off this for awhile."

I could tell she was contemplating it as she continued to stare out the window.

"There's no one to race," she stated flatly.

"Of course there is! He's called 'time', and ISGETTINGAWAY!"

I made a sharp right turn, making (Y/N) fall away from the door in surprise. Accelerating well past the speed limit, I laughed as my sister screamed, her alarm quickly turning to joy as she yelled for me to go faster over the engine.

"Metal to the pedal Roman!" She hollered, and I floored it, hearing the sleek beautie's engine roar. I loved the vibrations rippling from her engine to the steering wheel, the way she cut through the sand and practically flew on the pavement, the shining sun glittering down her frame catching the small hints of green. Switching gears I made a hard U-turn, the blown sand flying around to the point that I was thankful I had rolled up my windows.

Starting the run back, I laughed as (Y/N) rolled down her window and stuck her head out, grabbing a pair of old goggles I had found to protect her eyes from the sand. She whooped and hollered as she sat on the window, holding tightly to the hood. You can imagine my confusion when she suddenly slipped back in, seeming panicked, and overly fearful.

"What's wrong?" I asked, slowing down.

"NO! Don't slow down! Keep going!"

         "What's wrong?!"

         "Need-to-know basis!"

         "AND I NEED TO KNOW!"

I continued on, albeit freaked out and finding myself worried about what could spook (Y/N) so badly.

"(Y/N) what's-" I was interrupted by the hard sound of an engine. Not a car engine, or a jet engine, but a fragging SHIP! "AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!"

"YOU WOULD HAVE FOUND OUT LATER ON!" She hollered back, and I floored it once more, hoping that the black beauty would go faster than she actually could go.

"Turn off whatever's beeping!" I yelled, keeping my eyes on the road, the noise was sharp and cut through the two battling engines. It was getting on my nerves, which were already on edge.

         "Wait... THAT'S MY DATA PAD!"

She scrambled to find it from under her seat and dragged out the see-through blue screen, tapping around to find whatever app or program was beeping.

         "STOP THE CAR!"

         "WHAT?!"

"STOP THE CAR IT'S BEE AND THE GANG!"

I managed to slow her down and pull off to the side of the empty road, (Y/N) rolling her window back up as she got out before I was even parked.

The ship landed with a mighty blow of sand, and the both of us waited. My almost always, ever so brave sister standing outside the car, while I stayed inside, looking at the rear view mirror, watching as the ship opened from below, like a giant whale... only more terrifying. Being eager to see the team again, (Y/N) ran to the over sized aircraft, being met by an enthusiastic Bumblebee. She waved at me to follow suit, and I did... albeit hesitantly.

~(Y/N)'s POV~

"BUMBLEBEE! Oh my PRIMUS you scared me to DEATH! Where the FRAG were you?!"

I was picked up by the childish mech, and brought to his faceplate in a sort of hug as he whirred.

         |: We couldn't risk being found out. :| was his excuse, and I accepted it either way.

         "Bulkhead!"

"What are you doing out here?" he questioned.

"Look'in for all of you guys! Where's the kids?"

"Well I see I'm loved," came the sarcastic tone of Roman.

"Sorry," I laughed, "Guys this my brother, Roman, he came back from the dead!"

There was a short pause, and I giggled at their confused stares.

"I'll explain later! You guys need to get back to the kids!"

Bulkhead was about to say something when Arcee came tromping out, someone else behind her...

"You ratted us out!" She accused, of which I answered with a rather unamused expression.

"And why would I do that?"

"Because you're a fragging Decepticon pet!"

"Arcee," the new bot boomed, earning her attention, "You will mind your tongue."

She hung her helm, then glared at me after a short 'yes sir', earning a raspberry from me. My own attention then turned to 'shoulder pads'.

"So, who are you? Obviously an Autobot, and a high ranking one at that."

         |: Careful, :| Bee whispered, |: Ultra Magnus is a stickler for rules and propriety. :|

"Bumblebee," came a firm warning, and he warbled his apology.

"What? Can't take joke, sir." I smirked.

"What is your name human femme?" he asked, ignoring my question.

"(L/N), (Y/N) (L/N), also known as Wildstryke, and that pile of parts is my brother." I pointed down at Roman, who waved, his holoformic skin now off. The two mechs closest to me looked at him in wonder.

"So you are the cause of the energon signal," the tall mech looked to my brother.

"Yeah, I'm surprised your radar picked it up."

I saw Arcee go back in the ship, obviously done with me.

"We've been on the look-out for any signal, no matter how small," Ultra Magnus said, and I huffed.

"Shouldn't you have found us earlier then?" I sassed.

"We did," Bulkhead chuckled, "But ya kept disappearing!"

"You can thank Soundwave for that one!" Roman stated, being picked up by Bee and set by me, "He groundbridged us back from time to time when we couldn't find a hotel."

"Or they wouldn't take us," I noted, scowling, "Cause for some reason we were 'suspicious'."

"Yeah, cause no one is going to question why an Impala is driving up to their front door in the middle of the night."

"No one minds in the movies." I pouted, crossing my arms, and Bee whirred his mechanical laughter.

A short pause insued before Ultra Magnus spoke again.

"You said Soundwave provided you a groundbridge?"

Turning to him, I rolled my eyes, and glared.

"Keep up bolt-brain, yeah, I'm neutral, problem?"

"Other than you being a possible threat-"

"Ultra Magnus, Sir..." Bulkhead started, "Optimus trusted her, and she hasn't given any reason to distrust her completely."

A pause, and the wary look of a high ranking officer.

"If Optimus Prime trusted you so easily... I suppose, there is no harm in trusting you now."

"Just don't expect me to comply to orders," I warned, pointing a finger at him, "Not even Megatron orders me around."

We left the desert, and greeted by an angry Fowler, who blamed me, as did Jack, for the destruction of the Autobot base. Seeing that they have a new one now, I'm not completely butt hurt about all the yelling in my face and strong accusations, but I did give them a little slack, and some help.

"Hey ya burnt marshmallow," I smiled, walking up to Ratchet.

"Don't call me that," he grumbled, glaring down at me.

"Make me," I chuckled, "Just coming by to give you this," I held up the data pad I had been carrying, of which he took with careful digits.

         "Your data pad?"

"Yeah," I shrugged, "I'm neutral remember? I help both sides, which means I keep a close optic on BOTH databases."

He inserted the data pad into his makeshift computers, created by the human technology provided, and the entire Autobot database was downloaded into them. He searched around to find everything updated and ready for use.

"How long have you been working on our files?" he asked in astonishment.

"Since the silo went down," I admitted, allowing the sadness I felt to leak through ever so slightly. I might suppress my feelings sometimes, but as many know, I'm not incapable of feeling.

"Th-thank you..." he said, still in awe at this new development as he stared at the screens.

         "No problem... Ratchet."

I bounded off before he could say much more, finding Roman and contacting Knockout.

         |: We found most of them... Optimus is still MIA. :| I said through the shielded com link.

         |: It takes more than an entire missile silo dropping on top of him to get rid of the Prime. :| I heard him chuckle.

         |: I don't know... I'm losing hope... :| I admitted.

I looked to my ring finger, feeling the short, loving thrum of Knockout's spark.

         |: He's still out there. Trust me. :|

I sent my love, and closed the link, sighing as I leaned my head against the seat of Roman's Impala.

         "What's that?"

I looked over, finding Raf just outside the open passenger door. I couldn't help myself, and hugged him as tight as I could without possibly breaking him. I felt a single tear leave my eye, and I sniffed, releasing him.

"I'm so glad you're okay," I smiled, pushing some loose hair away from his face.

"Of course I was," he smiled sweetly, "I was with Bumblebee!"

He then became solemn, and I asked what was wrong, worried something had happened while they were trying to regroup.

"I'm sorry I made you worry..." he looked to the floor, and shuffled his feet, "We saw you at the gas station... and I wanted to stop and tell you we were okay... but Bee said we shouldn't because if you were around..."

"You thought the Decepticons wouldn't be too far behind." I finished for him, and he nodded, his own tear mimicking mine. I wiped it away, and kissed his head, "That was very smart on both of your parts," I praised softly, "I'm sorry I wasn't looking for you at that moment..." I hugged him close again and he hugged back, his tiny arms just barely wrapping around me, "How about I take you for some ice cream later?" I asked him, "I have a surprise for everyone as well."

(Awe, so cute! Guess what! 80th chapter guys! Maybe I'll hit 90! Or 100! What a concept! Thanks for your patience. I hope you like the chapters to come! Love ya'll! And don't worry... I cried about the short comic too...)
