Sadness

(That picture though!)

~3rd POV~

Soundwave continued to battle against Megatron, his systems warning him of his injuries already oozing energon.

"You were my most trusted soldier!" Megatron bellowed as he tried to shoot his opponent in his visor, "We fought together, even in the Pits of Kaon!"

"Then that should go to show that silence is the superior of deceptions."

The smaller mech swung his pede, only to have it be caught by Megatron's servo, and he forced Soundwave closer, and made his visor crack as his opposite servo connected with a desperate force.

"I think I preferred said deception, rather than your opinion," the war monger growled.

Soundwave was helped up by a drone, who was shot point blank, and fell down to the planet far below. Taking the silent mech up by his neck cables, Megatron smirked.

"So disappointing. I don't remember you winning that match all those vorns ago." he squeezed Soundwave's neck cables harder, and his visor lit up with the many warnings. He couldn't see clearly, he needed help.

Meanwhile, Dreadwing was battling Starscream, who did his best to run from the situation, knowing Megatron would not be around to save him a second time. The Seeker shot at the mech lumbering after him, pushing drones in Dreadwing's way, though this did little to stop him.

"Your days are OVER Starscream," he bellowed, transforming in order to get ahead of the the cowardly mech, but he too transformed, and started to flee.

"Not if I can help it you barbarian!" he seethed, and took off around the ship, trying to lose him. Starscream wasn't very successful as Dreadwing took a short cut and rammed into him from underneath. The Seeker tumbled through the air, desperately trying to find his balance as he fell, soon finding it, but was far too late as Dreadwing made another pass, clipping his wing. With a short cry of pain, Starscream did his best to turn back to the ship, and landed roughly as he transformed, still running in the midst of the fight from Dreadwing.

This illogical fight was noticed by the Decepticon scientist, who was currently doing his best to keep the angered red medic away from him as he used his canon to shoot at his pedes.

"You fail to realize your own mistake," he said, blocking a saw blade from his helm.

"No, you fail to realize that what you plan is unforgivable." Knockout growled, making a low sweep with his pede to try and trip the bigger mech. This advance failed, and he transformed in order to drift around him, transforming once more before Shockwave could connect his one servo with his hood.

         "Forgiveness is illogical."

He was about to shoot at Knockout once more before he was hit in his backplates by a certain agile two-wheeler.

"You owe me one," she stated coldly.

"I had it handled," Knockout huffed, and they both readied themselves for the next attack as Shockwave was joined by several vehicons who did not join the neutral legion.

Bulkhead came barreling through, knocking down several vehicons as they tried to stop his advancement, being followed by the others. Optimus had already saved Soundwave from Megatron's unrelenting grasp, and was helping him up, noting the slowly growing cracks in his visor that threatened to chip away.

"How are you faring, Soundwave?" he asked, and the silent mech nodded his helm, "Megatron, you have gone to far this time."

"Prime," the war monger greeted, "I expected the neutral Wildstryke to come to the traitor's aid."

A sadness crossed Optimus' faceplates, but he quickly turned it back to the anger he felt before, sadly this was not enough to convince the war lord that he did not just see his arch nemesis saddened by the mention of her.

"Hmm, perhaps she is unable to. Tell me, do you now protect her final resting place?!" he gafawed, having to protect his faceplate not seconds later from the Star Saber, "I see," he grinned, a energon freezing look that only a Prime could combat against.

The two went head to head, while Soundwave and several others who had defeated their opponents kept the other vehicons at bay to give them room to fight, and to keep the playing field as fair as they could. They only looked to see the progress when a hard clang rang through the air, and several saw Bee try to get a hold of the Star Saber, only to be pushed out of the way by Starscream, who rolled, and grabbed hold of the giant weapon. He chuckled at his victory, and held it over the edge of the device that was still ready for use.

"One wrong move, and your precious Star Saber is lost forever!"

"Then they won't make any moves."

He turned, only to see a servo connect with his facplate, and he slid backwards several feet, leaving the Star Saber behind to be caught by Wildstryke. Everyone looked to her in pure shock. This left the opening Megatron needed to attack the Prime once more. The warmonger kicked him off balance, and Optimus fell off the edge, catching the lip of the Omega Lock with a single servo, barely holding on.

"NO!" Wildstryke screamed as she started running toward the two, failing to notice the scout just behind her. Megatron turned from his taunting of the Prime, and aimed a steady canon at the two, waiting for the perfect shot.

One...

Two ...

Three...

The sword fell from Wildstryke's grasp as she stood, her optics flickering, a gaping whole just missing her new spark. She saw the husk of a lifeless Bee hit the Cybermatter, and the horrid cry of Knockout as he tried to near her. She felt the sharp digit's of Megatron wrap around her neck cables, and she was lifted up, slowly, and painfully.

"Such a beautiful specimen," he sighed, and flicked away a hanging piece of her armor, exposing the blue spark that now had a place in her chassis, "This could all end if you simply accept me as your sparkmate," he said evenly as he gazed at the panicked, flickering light that barely held onto life, "You'd have a life of ease, as my queen." he looked into her optics, seeing fear, and he smiled at this, gripping her breaking neck cables even tighter. He saw Knockout being held back at the corner of his optic, and heard the shuffling of a flailing Optimus behind him. No one dare come near him, or else risk the offlining of their precious Wildstryke.

         "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

A battle cry, but of no one they knew who had joined the battle beforehand. Megatron let Wildstryke drop to the ground, her optics flickering off as she slowly fell into the cybermatter, the last thing she saw being Ravage, Raf on his back, attacking the warmonger as she fell. The small duo went after the warmonger relentlessly, making him have to stumble back as the Cybercat clawed at his faceplates. He held a now broken optic as he stood back, and Ravage helped Optimus back up, who went after Megatron shortly after. Soundwave called to his creation, and he padded his way to the silent mech, Raf about to pass out from the lack of proper oxygen. The boy looked to the Cybermatter, and started to cry as Soundwave quickly placed him in his cockpit so he could breathe properly, but Rafael had already passed out by then, still crying as he was taken away from the fight.

The battle between the Prime and the warmonger raged for what felt like eons, until Megatron finally gained the upper hand.

"Your efforts were fruitless," he sneered, about to strike the mech who once called him brother, "The Decepticons have won."

But the final strike, was not his own.

Looking down at the sudden pain in his chassis, Megatron sputtered as he coughed up energon.

"You took away my voice," Bumblebee, "You will never take anything, from anyone ever again!"

Megatron fell to his knee plates, and after that off the edge of Shockwave's massive creation, once meant for destruction, now meant for the revival of Cybertron. Shockwave was seen escaping with a thrashing Starscream as he insisted on saving his lord and master. Several Seeker drones were about to go after the two, but Knockout ordered them to desist, saying that it was fine, for now.

They all rejoiced, for a short time, and soon Bee was greeting everyone with his newfound voice, then tried to com Raf.

         |:He's not here... Bumblebee...:| was Ratchet's answer.

"What do you mean he's not-"

Soundwave touched back down, seeing the danger had passed, and transformed, a still unconscious Raf in his servo. He showed on his visor that the boy was still alive, but in bad shape. Ravage jumped up between Soundwave's helm and his shoulder armor, looking to the boy. Taking hesitant steps on the mech's arm, the Cybercat nudged the boy, and he slowly began to wake up, frowning when he saw only Soundwave for a moment.

"I don't want to wake up again," he said, his breath raspy, and voice just barely heard.

"Raf, come on little buddy it's me!" Bee took the human from Soundwave's servo, transforming in a desperate attempt to provide a solid air supply, "Raf I'm okay! It's me! Bumblebee!"

The boy shook his head, falling back into what he hoped to be a dreamless, everlasting sleep.

"Bee's gone," he sniffed, and hiccuped, "Just like Wildstryke..."

To this last statement, Bumblebee had no response. He didn't see wildstryke enter the Cybermatter, and even if she did, she hadn't shown herself to of been online afterward.

         |: Come on Raf, :| he said, now back to what he had lived with saying for so long, his natural clicks and whirrs, |: I can't go on without my little scout beside me... :|

To this, the boy opened his eyes, and allowed them to focus despite the tears that still ran down his face.

"Bumblebee?" he whispered, wiping more tears out of his eyes.

         |: Yeah, it's me, :| he said, "and I've got my pipes back!"

Raf giggled at this, putting most every bot at ease, but his mirth soon died, and he looked out of Bee's windows, finding Knockout on his knee plates near the clear pool of cybermatter, seemingly lost, and alone.

"We're sorry, Knockout," Arcee placed a servo on his shoulder, but he ignored her, intent on waiting for a miracle. If the Cybermatter worked on Bee, it should work on Wildstryke as well... right?

"Sh-she had a spark," he muttered, "Sh-she had a spark."

"Knockout you know that's impossible," Dreadwing said as he neared him, "(Y/N) had a processor, not a spark."

"THEN HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED?!" He yelled at the Aerial bot, who took a step back upon seeing the dangerous look in Knockout's optics. He knew that one more wrong move, and Knockout would truly go mad, "She was practically brain-dead when I left her with the Autobots! Suddenly she comes back with a SPARK?! HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT?!"

His rant was abruptly stopped by a firm kick to the side of his faceplate. He fell to the metal of the Omega Lock and struggled to get back up as his frame was forced to stay there by Arcee.

         "Stand down, two-wheeler!"

They all looked to Soundwave, who stepped back, shaking his helm. That wasn't a recording. They then looked to the now rippling Cybermatter, and watched a coughing Wildstryke lift herself from the liquid. Knockout struggled out of the firmly planted weight of Arcee, and scrambled after her, helping her up. She leaned into him, her optics closed, and she was smiling.

"I thought I had lost you forever..." Knockout breathed, holding her close.

She was silent for a moment before looking up at him tiredly.

"Where's Raf?" she asked, and heard the sudden warnings from Bee and the others as said boy came running toward her. She quickly scooped him up and transformed, "What were you thinking?!" she scolded, "You could have died!"

"I didn't want you to die!" he yelled back, surprising everyone with his confidence and determination to justify his actions, "I-I didn't want to loose a mother for the third time..." he began to cry even harder, and Wildstryke activated her holoform in order to comfort him in the back seat. She gently embraced him, holding him close as she soothed him with soft sounds.

"It's okay," she tried her hardest to keep her own voice steady, "You won't lose me, not again."

It was a long time before something was said, that being the importance of reviving Cybertron by Optimus. Wildstryke was bout to take Raf back to the Autobot base, but he asked her to stop, looking back to the Cybermatter.

"The Cybermatter repaired your and Bee's spark right?" he asked.

"Yes... I suppose." was his mother figure's answer.

"And you won't be able to go back to your human form?"

"... No, I'm afraid not," she answered, unsure of what his plan was.

"Then I won't go back either."

Before she could say anything, Raf jumped out of her alt, making a B-line for the Cybermatter. Wildstryke hollered for anyone's help as she went after the boy in her bipedal mode, Arcee racing past in her alt, Bee not to far behind. Soundwave sent Ravage after him, but all were to late as they watched Raf take one more look before jumping in himself. They all stopped at the edge, hoping for the best but fearing worst. No one could see the boy... no one heard him... he didn't resurface...

"Raf, no..." Wildstryke breathed. Was this her fault too?

(Oof. You all may want to check out that short story after this chapter! Haha! More to come I assure you! Hope you all liked the chapter! Thanks for reading!)
