Mission Possible

~(Y/N)'s POV~

I met him. The infamous Megatron, and to be honest, it's like listening to even more egotistical Starscream.  Only this time he doesn't know I'm actually a human. Yep, you heard me. The only time I get to actually be in my human form is when I'm either racing or hitting the hay. Any other time I'm hidden in what I call the "Sarcophagus". It's really just my own personal stasis pod for when my mind's transferred to the Cybertronian body. There's only one problem...

         "(Y/N) come on!"

"No, I don't want to go back to that form. It's puny and has no chance here."

"But it's your real form! What your in now is not real!"

"Yes but it keeps me with you!"

"But it's not the reason I fell in love with you!"

That stopped me from storming out. Turning back to my devil car, he looked at me with sadness in his optics. Sighing, I leaned on the side of the open door. This body was ruining my mind. With every transfer a little bit of me seems to disappear, but it reappears after awhile, and today was extremely alarming.

"You haven't pledged any sort of allegience to Megatron, just disappear for a few days. We can hide your Cybertronian form easy enough. You need a break!"

         "Only if you come with."

"You know I can't do that."

"Then I can't either! I won't know what to do with myself. I've been here for so long, that I don't know how to connect with others of my own kind. I don't even consider them my own kind anymore!"

Energon tears sprung to my optics. How I hate conflictions. If I stay I risk hurting myself, but I'll be with Knockout. If I go I'll be surrounded by a species I don't even call my own anymore, who don't think, act or speak like me, but I'll be able to heal what damage has been done. Leave my love, or stay with him. Heal, or get worse.  Why is this so hard?

"I'll arrange a hotel for you. Make sure to wear a disguise of sorts, you're still Knockout the racer."

Before I could say anything, I was called upon by Megatron. Over the days he's been back, and as ruthless as ever, I became one of his favorites, next only to that of Soundwave. I made my way, wiping the tears from my faceplate. I found him in his usual spot at the head of the ship.

"Ah, Wildstryke, I have a mission for you."

That was the name chosen for me. Knockout said it fit beautifully.

"You usually do at this hour of night. Who's the target?"

"Ever so eager to start a project aren't you?"

"I find it easier to get the job done than have it drag out."

Megatron seemed pleased with this answer and continued with the assignment given to me.

"First off, you don't have a target," He chuckled, liking my willingness to have an opponent, "You're mission is to go with a troupe to watch the goings-on of an energon mine. It's been being watched for quite some time, and I sent Starscream elsewhere for the time being."

I thanked Primus for that fact.

         "Who's watching it?"

"Well the Autobots of course." This made him slightly irritated.

"No, who of the Autobots." Now I was slightly irritated!

"A believe you've run into him before: Optimus Prime himself."

At this I smiled. I had told Megatron of my previous encounter. Of course I didn't mention that it was with Knockout. This would be a very interesting night.

I was on the road and heading to a very nice cave, occupied by the many energon cubes ready for deportation to the Nemesis. I scanned the area, and found nothing out of the ordinary. I transformed, starting the stream of orders to get more energon ready for movement. The Vehicons seem to like me more than the others, so they get a proficient amount of work done. Helps I kinda make things fun and help out every once in awhile.

"You idiot," I walked up to a struggling Vehicon, "Take no more than twelve, anymore and you'll have system failure."

Taking the extra ten energon cubes he was trying to take, I carried them to the pick-up space.

"Commander, we're meant to work past our limits." He argued.

"I told you all to call me Wildstryke, I don't like that title." That title was given to me after many a mission that proved my worth, "And I don't care. A real leader makes sure the mission is completed, but they also look after their subordinates, now get back there and start bringing twelve at a time!" I ordered, and he listened.

It was well past midnight when the Nemesis was nearing our location, but it was still a ways off. The lack of Autobot activity disturbed me. Was it just a fluke? Or perhaps Megatron wanted to test me? At this point in time, I didn't care. I just wanted to be back with my Devil Car.

"Wildstryke!" I turned to the alarmed Vehicon, "Movement to the North! And it's not one of ours!"

Nodding, I started the trek for the north side of the mine. Upon reaching my destination, I saw nothing. The air was calm, and nothing showed when I scanned the area. I commed for a Vehicon to stand guard, then made a round or two to survey the entire area. Nothing. I was becoming suspicious. Either this was a test, or the Autobots were becoming strangely stealthy.

I made one more round, and saw movement in a bush. Upon coming closer, I saw a small tuft of pink hair sticking out. I was about to move the bush when a Vehicon called for me to take a look at something.

"I'll be right there." I answered. I looked back at the bush, the pink tuft gone. Perhaps it was simply some lost dog... with an interesting sense of style? I decided to investigate later.

"What's the problem?" I asked upon reaching the pick-up depot.

"Something's happened to the connection system that allows the platform to raise up into the Nemesis." A Vehicon answered. 'it's no longer connecting."

I bent down to take a look at the wiring. It was meddled with, so I diagnosed it as sabotage. I told those around me to keep a look out for something small enough to squish. I fixed the problem, much to the Vehicon's astonishment, and we continued our work. Apparently me being a slight tech whiz is alarming. I can't help the fact that I've been left with nothing to do for so long I started to tinker!

The rest of the energon was ready for pick-up, and the Nemesis was just barely overhead. Since the job was done, we set out to look for any pests that would want to steal our spoils. I set many Vehicons to guard the energon, and a few to make rounds in specific areas. All came back with nothing to report.

"Perhaps it was one of those Earth creatures that humans speak of sometimes." One Vehicon suggested.

I took that into consideration, but doubted it.

Once the Nemesis arrived, the energon was taken up. This is when things became a little edgy.

"Wildstryke! Movement to the West!" A Vehicon shouted.

I started on my way, but didn't trust the voice that sounded the small alarm... it didn't sound like any Vehicon I've heard... I ordered for another sweep of the area, and soon, two Autobots became known in our midst. They were set before me upon their knee plates. I smiled, and praised the Vehicon's good work to subdue them.

"Well, Nice to meet you. I believe you to be Bulkhead, and you... yes the two-wheeler: Arcee."

They looked at me in alarm. I only smirked

"You're that neutral!" Arcee said, anger in her voice.

"Yes, well, currently I'm a Decepticon in your optics." I noted, and knew I wasn't wrong. I had run into Bumblebee a few times, sent him back to his fellow Autobots with more then a scratch or too. "Who else is here?" I asked forcefully.

"No one." Bulkhead answered first, "We came alone."

"Please, that's such a cliche. Whose the human with the pink tuft of hair?" I guessed, but the look on Bulkhead's faceplate told me enough to know I guessed correctly. Lost dog with a sense of style my aft.

I ordered some Vehicons to keep a lookout for a human, perhaps more, but one with pink hair in particular. I waited for a report as Arcee talked about the reason the Decepticons fight versus the Autobots. It was becoming a bore.

"I know the difference between good and bad, two-wheeler, and frankly I don't care. I have my reasons for being with the Decepticons, reasons you wouldn't understand. Now, I believe it's our turn to go back to the Nemesis."

The two captives were herded to the platform as I followed.

         "Wildstryke! We found the human!"

I turned to see a tiny teenage girl being grasped by a Vehicon. I told them 'good work', and we continued into the belly of the beast.

Megatron, upon hearing the achievement, wanted the prisoners brought to him, and their captor. I wasn't prepared for what happened next...

"From here on out I want you to be in charge of the energon mines." His voice boomed through the large room, and Starscream, who had arrived just before me, stared, his optics full of hate.

I declined.
