Found, but Lost

~(Y/N)'s POV~

         "We told you to retreat!"

         "Why don't you listen?"

         "You could have been offlined!"

I heard them, but I wasn't listening. I was to busy sitting on the edge of the Autobot medical berth, my dull red optics focused on the floor, though that's not what I saw. I saw the hole in the ground that my friend escaped through. My traitorous, torturous, tyrannical, murderous, sadistic, cruel sister figure, who murdered the Decepticon power house, Knockout's best friend, my brother figure. What else did I see? Red, Knockout's lying optics. Blue, Arachnid's energon staining the ground. But I want her to suffer, I don't want her to stay dead, I want her to live with no purpose in life anymore, but to act as the loyal dog she pretended to be, so I see purple as well, the sickening glowing purple of dark energon that would bring her back, and become Megatron's little pet once again, held back by bars until needed. I saw my next mission. I saw the entire battle play through my helm over, and over, again.

"What do you mean there's been a change in plans?" I asked accusingly, my optics following Ratchet like a hawk as he deactivated the groundbridge, he claimed to be unworried, but his fast pace and frantic typing said otherwise.

"Look, Knockout's not there, so we found no reason for you to go."

"I could at least help." I argued, watching closely as Ratchet erased the coordinates, but he was to late.

"You're not going, that is final." he stated, and I thought otherwise.

I waited for him to walk away from the console, and took my chance as I quickly typed in the coordinates I saw, and activated the groundbridge. The last I heard was a firm holler from the old medic as I jumped my way through, finding a war raging in front of me. Who was winning? I don't know, but I helped both sides as I started destroying the beetle like creatures that surrounded them.

"WHAT ARE THESE THINGS?!" I hollered as I found Megatron. He was already scratched and dented, but still going strong. He was surprised to see me as another creature was taken down by his own fist.

"They're called Insecticons," His voice boomed, yet it was still hard to hear over all the screeching.

"Where the frag did they come from?!"

         "Deep within a cave! They're-"

He was cut off by another feral screech. I looked up, barely being missed as an Insecticon barreled down and hit the ground floor. I shot it with my barely used canon, turning it's armor into melted metal, I was glad Knockout did such a good job on my weaponry. Taking another look around, I saw Arachnid. She's alive! Thank Primus! Taking a leap over several other Insecticons, I transformed and raced over to the cliff face she was climbing, a smile on my faceplate as I quickly transformed back and called after her.

         "ARACHNID! ARACH-SCRAP!"

I was shoved over by Arcee as she sped by in her bike form, after Arachnid no doubt, so I decided to have a little fun.

"Heya two-wheeler!" I taunted as she came to an abrupt stop by a rocky ledge, she looked over, astonished that I had bypassed Ratchet, "Look up."

She did, only to be blinded by Arachnid as her webs came flying.

"You make it to easy dear Wildstryke." She pinned Arcee to the cliff with a single spidery leg, her attention to me, "It's almost unfair that you remain neutral."

"You know I favor the Decepticons," I laughed, "I'll most likely be back by now, and you can help with the search for Breakdown." Leaning on the cliff, I examined the fight below, it was odd how the Insecticons didn't seem to notice us, but I wasn't going to jinx it, those things are ugly.

"What do you mean 'search for Breakdown'?" Arachnid asked, a sly smile on her faceplate, "Oh dear," I watched as her expression changed, realizing something I hadn't... what was I not understanding?

"What is it? Is it about Breakdown?"

"Don't listen to her Wildstryke! Whatever she says, don't-" Arcee was silenced with a single web to her mouth, though she continued to struggle.

"I'm afraid so," Arachnid became strangely solemn, "You see, Breakdown and I, we didn't disappear, we ran away, sadly your poor brother figure didn't make it, as I did."

I didn't like where her story was going, and watched as she held Arcee firmly to the cliff, my attention then went back to her.

"What do you... what do you mean?"

         "Dreadwing, he offlined Breakdown."

I froze. What motive, did Dreadwing have... What drove him to such madness?

Looking back down, I saw him amongst the tummult of battles between Insecticons and the two factions. I watched as he tried to make his way to the cliff, his optics glancing up at us from time to time. Was he trying to finish what he started?

"That... that doesn't make sense. Yes he's a 'Con, but he's no brute... he would need a motive!" I might not know him well, but I know him well enough to know he needs a proper incentive.

"Wildstryke, you poor naive neutral, look around you." She said sweetly, "Does anyone else here not have some sort of secret side to themselves?"

While Arachnid had a point, it just didn't make sense inside my own processor.

"I doubt you haven't noticed how Insecticon free it is up here, they're all under my control, I wanted to get back at Dreadwing! He tried to squash me like a bug! Well now a bug can squash him."

I watched as several Insecticons went at the giant with wings, and he battled them all back, still advancing toward us. He killed Breakdown... and I was going to ask him to help me find the Blueberry... Dreadwing...

"I think I should be the one to clip his wings."

With that I jumped from the cliff, sliding down on rocks and lost armor. If only I had looked back, I might have seen the strings that controlled me in that horrid smirk on my once thought friend's faceplate.

I found myself having a clear shot as the Insecticons moved out of my way, most likely being told by Arachnid somehow. I could have shot him, leaving Dreadwing with a smoking hole in his chassis, but I wanted him to feel the pain I did when Breakdown didn't come back.

         "YOU PIECE OF SCRAP METAL!"

I brought my two swords from under my armor, the shining metal gleaming as they came dangerously close to Dreadwings faceplate.

"You think you can offline Breakdown, AND GET AWAY WITH IT?!"

I swung, and he blocked it, kicking me back. I now had to battle with a screaming pain in my side.

"What are you going on about?!" He demanded, but he won't get away with the crime he committed.

"You murdered my BROTHER," I missed his shoulder, "KNOCKOUT'S BEST FRIEND!" I missed his helm, "YOU ALMOST OFFLINED ARACHNID!"

"I will only admit to one of those!" He argued, and tried to throw me to the side, but I retracted a blade, and held onto his shoulder, making a U-turn in mid-air and kicking him in the faceplate.

         "Oh yeah? Which one!?"

         "Going after Arachnid!"

"A likely story!" I started punching him repeatedly, "Let me get a paper and pen, so I can WRITE IT DOWN!"

I might have been small, but I pack a punch, and with one last blow, I knocked the behemoth off his pedes, and onto his back. I held a single blade to his neck cables, and the entire battle field became silent.

"Ask Arachnid why she didn't come back to the Nemesis." Dreadwing growled, "And what reason do I have that would justify my offlining of Breakdown? Even if I did, there was nothing I could have gained. Besides, Arachnid is no stranger to treason."

My optics grew wide, and I saw the strings that had been pulled to control my rage, and turn it on someone else. I retracted my blade, and looked back towards the cliff, finding Arachnid with a terrified expression as she watched the rage in me build up, her hold on Arcee now non-existent as she scrambled away.

"I'm sorry if I had wounded you." I took off, now fighting through the Insecticon swarm, but I was not hindered as I drew closer to my target. I was now playing a different game.

"The itsy bitsy spider, ran up the water spout," I transformed and started driving, catching any bit of traction I could, only to transform back once there was none to be had, "Down came the rain," I climbed past her, my grip firm as I dangled by one arm, "And drowned the spider out," I switched my servo to my canon, "Out came the sun and dried her to a crisp," I took steady aim as Arachnid froze in her fear, seeing nothing but hate and betrayal in my bright red optics, my faceplate showing no emotion, "And the itsy bitsy spider, was never heard from again. Say hello to the devil for me, dear friend."

I shot, but it missed as I was thrown to the side, and rolled down to the bottom of the cliff. I looked up, battered and dented, I could barely stand, but I wobbled to my pedes anyway, glaring at the two-wheeler who had forced me from my spot, the winning blow, the last shot. So close to avenging my friend, my brother. I heard frantic pede steps come to my side, and I saw the two familiar paint jobs, one grey and purple, the other blue and red.

"I'm sorry for both your losses, Wildstryke," Megatron said, most likely confusing the Prime that stood near him.

"Tell Knockout the next time I see his finish, it'll be the last time he sees mine."

I started the climb again, despite the two's protest, and many an Insecticon trying to stop me. I felt every circuit scream in pain, energon leaking from my form in several places, my red paint job non-existant now that the color had been reduced to the natural silver. I heard several orders, from several voices to retreat, but my rage tuned them out, and I climbed faster than Arcee as I reached the top of the cliff, only to find a hole. I decided to follow it, and slid down to what I assumed to be the cave the Insecticons had been residing for so long. I heard Arcee's close steps, and hid as she zoomed by. When I no longer could hear her, I searched for the murderess I once called friend, but I only found empty stasis pods.

I found my way out, and swayed as I started to lose my grip on reality, the world starting to go dark. I heard murmurs, and muffled voices, but one voice stuck in my processor.

         "Knockout had lied to her..."

For once, Megatron didn't sound like a sparkless brute, and more like he could actually care about more than just his war. I collapsed.

"Wildstryke, stop staring at the floor! There is nothing there!" Ratchet hollered in my audio receptor, making me glance his way.

"You all knew," I hissed, "And you didn't tell me."

"We were asked not to." Optimus stated, "We were told it was for your own safety."

"Well you should have thought about your own," I growled, "I have a very good reason to turn on all of you right. Now."

At this, Arcee became battle ready as she pointed her canons straight at my helm.

         "Try it, Decepticon pet."

"Oh so fierce," I laughed, standing up, only to wobble, and lean on the medical berth, finding my red finish completely gone, now replaced with the original silver of the underlying metal, "Who is this spunk for, ay Arcee?" I giggled, "Cliffjumper? Or your other belated partner, whose name I haven't cared to recall." I laughed as she tried to attack, only to be held back by Bumblebee, who looked at me with nothing but pity in his optics.

My short fit of laughter stopped as my legs gave out, and I activated the blade in my free servo to ward the help of Optimus Prime off. He backed away, and I sat myself back on the berth.

"You are in no condition to continue in this form," Ratchet stated behind me, "I must implor you to switch back to your rightful form: Human."

"And what will you do if I don't?" I asked with a sickening smile, "Shoot me? By all means, try." I giggled, "I have no one anymore."

In the end, I was left alone. Even Optimus gave up in trying to make me listen to reason. It was well into the night, when I decided to leave the medical bay of the Autobot base. I collected everything, much like I did when I was leaving the Nemesis, but this time, I was leaving the Autobots. Ratchet was recharging, so I had free reign over the computers. Typing in coordinates, I put a timer on the coding, making it so that the place I had entered, would be erased, and no one would be able to find me through the groundbridge database. I watched as the swirling vortex of blues and greens came to life, and I passed through it.

I recognized the scenery, it was one I stared off at very often when I was younger. No one would find me here, not even Knockout. The groundbridge behind me powered down, and I found the water fall I missed from time to time, the opening behind it barely visible as the mist flew up. I was glad that the cave was bigger than I had remembered, placing my human self in a dry area, far from the falling water. My optics glowed a sickening red as they illuminated the glistening rocks. Changing back to my human form, I opened my (E/C) eyes, and passed through the waterfall, now soaked, and made my way to an old cabin, the nails rusted, boards broke and rotting.

         "Home sweet home, ay Roman?"

~Knockout's POV~

It would have been easier, if she had simply shot me in my Spark.

(I loved writing this! But uh, yeah, don't expect much of the story to follow the timeline of the series, I have so many different ideas, that they can't follow the story very well. Besides, it's not like I've been following the original story line so far, why start now? Thank you for your patience! I hope my random spurts of creativity has made your day! More to come! Love ya'll!)
