Tessa's POV

I waited twenty four hours before returning to my apartment. I had hankered down at a warehouse last night. I knew the boss who run it and he was cool with me staying the night. But I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, I was worrying about Gemma.

Now I am returning to my place and see the car is gone. But I am still cautious as I enter the building. I had never felt this way when returning. For the first time in the year I had lived here, it did not feel safe. I head to my room where Gemma greeted me purring and I saw a saucer of milk on the floor.

"Who feed you girl?" I ask as I pat her gently.

"I did" a voice states and I turn to see Steve in his Captain America uniform.

"You scared me Steve" I say chuckling as Gemma leaves to wonder the streets again and I hide my right hand. I still hadn't figured out how to turn the armor back into a watch. "What'cha doing here?" I ask him with a smile as I look around with my eyes. "Why are you dressed like that? It's just me" I tell him.

"I know Roxanne or should I call you Tessa?" he asks and I bolt for the window. But feel a sharp prick on my neck and stop pulling out an arrow with a tranq dart on it. I turn back to Steve, who hadn't moved as Ironman lands beside him.

"Why?" I ask as I start to fall, but someone catches me from behind. The last thing I see are green eyes of a woman. Before I close my eyes falling into the darkness.

No one's POV

"That was easier then expected" Tony states as Natasha lowers the woman to the ground gently. "That's the girl I bumped into, hey she did take my watch" he adds seeing the gauntlet on her hand. He gets it off her and stows it somewhere safe.

"What do we do with the maiden now?" Thor asks them.

"We take her back to the tower and wait for her to wake up" Clint states shrugging. Steve picks up the girl and they leave the building. They got into the waiting car, except for Thor and Tony. Who decide to fly back to the tower. Natasha had the woman's head in her lap as she stroked her hair. "It's her isn't it?" Clint asks her.

"Yes, she may be older. But a mother never forgets" Natasha states as she looks at the woman lovingly. She can't believe she has her daughter back in her arms. Bruce and Clint smiles at the pair as they head to the tower. "We don't tell Fury about who she is ok, just that she is a lead to the Queen of the Streets" Natasha tells the pair. They agree and say they'd tell the other two when they get back.

(Avengers tower) Tessa's POV

"What happened?" I ask as I groan rolling onto my side.

"You were tranqed" a female voice states.

"No shit Sherlock" I grumble.

"Language" the voice snaps and it sounds so familiar. I blink a few times as I sit up and look around for the source. I spot a woman who looks to be apart in her early thirties.

"Who are you? Can I have some water?" I ask her and she smiles giving me a glass. "Where am I?" I ask looking around the room. I was on a couch in a really tall building.

"My name is Natasha Romanova and you are in Avengers tower" she states.

"Why?" I ask confused and look at my hand. "Where's my watch? Did you take blood?" I ask noticing the small band-aid in the crook of my arm.

"Yes we did and you are here as we have some questions for you" a man in glasses states as he enters the room. He was wearing a lab coat and holding a clip board along with a pen.

"Where's my watch?" I ask again.

"It wasn't yours, you stole it from me" an other man states as he and two others enter the room.

"Oh it's you, sorry about that. Just be glad I didn't sale it as planned" I tell him.

"Why not? It's worth a lot" one of the men states.

"Someone once told me I would know what was right when the moment comes" I states smiling as Steve enters the room. "It came and I did the right thing by not selling the watch" I tell them. "So what did you want to ask me?" I ask them.

"Do you know anything about the queen of the streets?" Natasha asks me.

"Should do, I know her better then anyone" I tell them shrugging.

"Who is she?" they all asks.

"Why? It's me of course, goodbye" I say as I phase through the floor.
