Getting home wasn't even a stone's throw for Jeongin. It was even less because a kitsune's teleportation was over in the blink of an eye.

So after the blond quickly bid goodbye to his hyungs, Jeongin immediately returned home to his - probably already waiting - mate. The second Jeongin opened his eyes in the living room of his home, he heard someone scramble to their feet. It didn't take a genius to know that it was a certain cat hybrid.

"Welcome- Oh my gosh," Felix wanted to greet his made until his eyes landed on the little creature in his boyfriend's arms. Jeongin grinned lightly when Felix almost stumbled towards them, only the balance of his cat side saving him from falling flat onto his face.

The kitsune with the blond hair couldn't help but chuckle lightly when their mate openly stared at the sleeping baby in his arms in pure disbelief.

Felix's cat tail was twitching in excitement, his dark orb unblinkingly fixated on the little, ginger haired baby in Jeongin's arms. He reached out a hand gently placing his hand upon the little one's head. It caused Jeongin's heart to do a happy jump. His mate liked their baby.

"My gods. This is real. They are real. And so utterly beautiful. My gods," Felix mumbled, his eyes not leaving the small creature in his partner's arms.

"They are very real, hyung. I know I said yesterday that the experiment failed but it didn't. It just took some time," Jeongin explained, his smiled wide enough for his cheeks to hurt.

Felix looked up to the younger male, his beautiful deep chocolate brown orbs glazed over with unshed tears. Normally, Jeongin would panic and frantically trying to figure out what upset his mate or he would try to instantly comfort him, but right now he knew that Felix wasn't scared or hurt, just really happy.

Yesterday evening, when Jeongin had told Felix of the failed experiment, the cat hybrid had been saddened by the fact that despite the whole baby thing having been a surprise, he had looked forward to being a parent. Yesterday, Jeongin had told Felix that they had a chance to be parents only to disappoint his mate in the same sentence.

Yet, here they were. In the end the experiment hadn't failed and now Jeongin held their baby in their arms.

Jeongin carefully maneuvered the baby to be held with one warm, so he could get one hand free to pull Felix towards him. The ginger cat hybrid let himself be pulled towards the kitsune, fitting himself into the blond's side his hand remaining on the baby's head.

"I love them already," Felix whispered, laying his head onto Jeongin's shoulder and letting his free arm sneak around the kitsune's waist while the blond put his arm on the ginger's shoulder.

"Me too. We still need to name them, though. That's our number one priority right now," Jeongin said, letting his head rest against Felix's. The ginger's cat ear twitched a bit, tickling the side of Jeongin's face.

"I am all for gender neutral names because we keep referring to them as 'they' or 'them'. Do they have a biological sex, by the way?," Felix asked, his eyes not leaving the baby.

Jeongin recalled how Seungmin figured out the sex of Chan and Byungho's child by simply scanning it with magic. So, the babies did have biological sexes despite being technically creatures created from pure magic and DNA.

"They do. I can scan them and figure it out if you want," Jeongin proposed the idea. "Can't hurt, but I still like the idea of a gender neutral name," Felix hummed in agreement. Jeongin chuckled lightly, but he agreed whole heartedly despite having no particular name in mind. Felix probably did, considering that he was hooked on the idea.

Focusing his full attention back on the baby, Jeongin let his magic flow from the palm that was holding the baby. His eyes switched from their usual brown color to a bright orange when the orange magic began to surround the baby.

The little one remained blissfully unaware of the strong magic surrounding it and somehow it warmed Jeongin's heart. If the baby could feel the magic it felt save enough to them to not be startled awake.

Through his magic scanning the baby's whole body, Jeongin figure out that they were a magical being and a biological male. The way of their creation also made them a mixed blooded creature. They were half kitsune, half cat hybrid and they possessed the ability to shift into a form that should be a combination of the hybrid type Felix was and a kitsune.

"They are a biological male and a magical creature like me. They can also change form like me," Jeongin informed his mate. Felix hummed lightly, letting them fall into a comfortable silence.

Jeongin tried to think of a name but came up blank. It was almost embarrassing, considering that he and Felix had talked plenty about having children and becoming a family. Yet, here he was being unable to give his child a name.

"I currently like the name Haneul a lot," the ginger broke the silence with a gentle whisper. Jeongin let his gaze wander from his child to his partner, whose head still resting on his shoulder.

Haneul was a unisex name as far as Jeongin was concerned. It meant heaven or sky. The kitsune couldn't really understand why his partner currently fancied this particular name, but he liked it. In a weird way, it fit their child.

"Sounds good to me. Haneul," Jeongin agree, trying the name out. It rolled nicely off his tongue and somehow he could already imaging himself calling this name after a little, wobbly toddler.

Jeongin could feel Felix smile into their shoulder. His eyes still fix onto the baby in the kitsune's arms. "Haneul it is then," Felix finalized their decision.

A moment after Felix had spoken the name, the little one opened his eyes. Felix lightly gasped as a set of mismatched eyes stared up at them. The bad had one eye that was bright orange like the ones of Jeongin when he was in his kitsune's form or used greater amounts of magic and the other was a icy blue like Felix's cat eyes.

The baby smiled up to his fathers, a goofy, baby grin making itself evident on his face. The two young fathers instantly melted when the little one let out a little laugh.

"To the gods you are simply perfect, Haneul," Felix cooed, patting the baby's head before carefully taking the child out of Jeongin's arm. Jeongin let the child be taken from him, his smile wide and warm as he watched his mate.

To the gods, he would never admit how much he loved this. How much he loved Felix's glossy eyes and wide, sun-like smile when he looked at their baby, at their child. He would never admit how his heart swelled in his chest when Haneul laughed brightly when Felix held him a bit higher to the little one's delight.

Jeongin, the infamous kitsune, the best illusionist of his generation, the youngest member of the world famous group of Stray Kids, would never admit how much love he had for his child and partner not because he feared them to be in danger, no, he just didn't want to be teased for it by his hyungs. Yet, the kitsune swore to himself in that moment, that he would protect his little family with his life.

Felix turned his head towards the blond, with nothing short of a bright smile and glossy eyes filled with happy tears. Haneul was still giggling while being held in the air, his arms shaking in pure excitement.

If Jeongin couldn't help, but press a kiss to Felix's cheek because the scene playing before his eyes was just perfect then he kept that thought entirely to himself.
