Chan and Jisung were, for lack of better words, an odd pair. They both had similar crazy energies despite being almost 3 years apart in age, they were both amazing rappers and singers (but then again, everyone in Stray Kids could rap, sing and dance) and they also shared the same intense passion for music (which was sometimes a bit overbearing).

So, when they came out as a couple to the members, they were a bit shocked to say the least. Well, everyone except Changbin. He'd known about Chan and Jisung for a while, always sending knowing looks to either one of them whenever they were standing a little too close for comfort, Jisung blushing heavily as Chan would wrap an arm around his shoulder comfortingly but laugh it off as if they were just really close friends.

Changbin knew better than to push the two out in the open. However, Felix was more than happy to try and poke and prod around nosily, trying to figure out what the hell was going on between the little squirrel and their leader. Once he did figure it out, he quite loudly announced that they were dating, way before Jisung and Chan had originally planned to come out to their other members. A few days passed after that, and nothing touchy happened with Jisung and Changbin, until the night they came out to the members that they were, in fact, together and had been for the past 10 months.

The way they came out was definitely not ideal.

Chan and Changbin were having a late night in their shared room, Changbin writing lyrics and Chan trying to figure out a beat to go with it when they suddenly heard a loud scream coming from Jisung, Felix, Hyunjin and Jeongin's room (TBH, I can't even remember who shares a room with who now in the new dorm, so just...bear with me plz ;-;). Chan cursed loudly, knowing exactly who that scream came from. Changbin quickly shut his lyric book, following Chan out of the room as they quickly paced over to the room the scream came from, seeing Felix trying to shush Jisung who had tears streaming down his cheeks and both screams and loud sobs wracking his body.

He was having another night terror, and this one was bad.

"Felix, get out of the way" Chan spoke in a soft but commanding tone.

Felix nodded, quickly backing away from a distressed Jisung. Woojin, Minho and Seungmin had come to check out what the hell was going on, and the sight shocked and worried them. Jisung thrashed around in his bed, no more screams coming out but he was still sobbing loudly.

"No, stop, please!" Jisung was speaking in English, and whimpering brokenly.

Chan, Seungmin and Felix were the only ones who could make out what Jisung was saying after that. He said things such as 'please don't hurt me' or 'don't kill me, I beg you' and even 'I didn't do anything wrong, why are you doing this', and it broke their hearts. Felix was very close to just breaking down into tears. What had Jisung gone through in the past?

"Sungie, hey, baby c'mon, calm down. It's me, it's Channie" Chan had sat on the edge of Jisung's bed, holding Jisung's arms down.

"P-please, don't hurt me" Jisung whimpered pathetically.

"No one's gonna hurt you baby, they can't hurt you, not anymore" Chan whispered, also near tears himself but he held them back.

Jisung's eyes were still closed, but his sobbing had quietened significantly.

"I-I don't wanna die yet" Jisung cried, and Chan grinded his teeth together.

His eyes were ablaze with anger, but none of it was directed at Jisung; it was all directed at the fuckers who decided to hurt his little squirrel, his 'Sungie. Chan silently vowed to murder whoever had dared to hurt Jisung and make their death look like a damn accident. Suddenly, Jisung's sobbing had turned into quiet sniffles as he slowly opened his eyes.

"C-Channie?" Jisung asked with a whimper.

"Yeah baby, it's me" the anger disappeared from Chan's eyes as he looked down at Jisung with nothing but love and affection.

Jisung shot up into a sitting position, throwing his arms around Chan's neck and burying his face into Chan's shoulder as soft sobs wracked his body. Chan slowly wrapped his arms around Jisung's mid-section, holding his close as the younger cries into his shoulder. The others in the room are either too stunned or too heartbroken to say anything. Felix had grown quite close to Jisung, them having birthdays just a day apart and also having very similar personalities, and was reduced to a silent crying mess when he saw how distressed his best friend was. Felix had latched onto Hyunjin, hiding his face and trying to stop his tears from falling. Hyunjin just rubbed his back comfortingly, knowing that seeing Jisung like this also affected Felix.

Woojin had ushered everyone out then, everyone except Chan, Hyunjin and Felix. Jisung had calmed down considerably, enough to let go of Chan and hold his arms out to Felix who had peeked over.

"Jjikseu?" Jisung pouted, making grabby hands towards his best friend.

Chan had stood up off the bed just in time, Felix barrelling onto Jisung and the two sharing a hug. It was adorable, to say the least. Well, adorable would be an understatement, but there wasn't any other word that Hyunjin and Chan could think of. Hyunjin crossed his arms, smiling softly at the two best friends before yawning.

"The others are probably gonna ask questions, about you and Jisungie, just like they did with Lix and I" Hyunjin smirked.

Chan just nodded, sighing heavily.

"I really don't wanna deal with that now. I just wanna get this song done in time" Chan sighed irritably.

"You really need to get more sleep" Hyunjin deadpans.

"Says the one with insomnia" Chan shoots back.

"Sh, don't say that out loud!" Hyunjin hissed quietly.

"Whatever" Chan chuckled, rubbing his eyes, "good night Hyunjin" Chan wandered off to his and Changbin's room.

"Good night Chan hyung" Hyunjin called out after him, shaking his head softly.

He glanced over to Jisung and Felix who were sound asleep, arms and legs tangled as the two best friends slept. Hyunjin smiled at the cute sight, and couldn't resist taking a picture and sending it to Chan. Chan feels his phone vibrate, smiling at the picture Hyunjin sent him.

He really loved his little squirrel. Despite Jisung having sometimes awful night terrors, Chan would stick with him through thick and thin, no matter what.
