(Companion one-shot with Night Terror)

It had been a few weeks since the incident with Jisung's horrible Night Terror, and Hyunjin's insomnia had gotten worse. Hyunjin had found himself unable to sleep most nights now, although he tried his hardest to just close his eyes and let himself drift off. It drastically worsened, going from just 1-2 nights of lost sleep a week to 4, sometimes 5 days of lost sleep a week in the span of a week and a half. It was taking its toll on him, it was making him weak and along with the loss of sleep, he lost most of his appetite, only eating small portions a day.

He was getting thinner, and it worried Chan to no end.

Only Chan knew of Hyunjin's insomnia as Hyunjin didn't want anyone else to know. He hated the thought of being babied by everyone, so he kept it to himself and Chan kept it to himself. However, the leader of Stray Kids was a needle point away from just telling everyone so maybe someone anyone would convince Hyunjin to get some help. Chan had tried so many times to get Hyunjin to go to the hospital, to at least try and get him on some medication that would help, but Hyunjin refused.

So, Chan eventually gave up, however the others started to grow suspicious and worried about Hyunjin's condition, all except one who was just now beginning to notice Hyunjin's condition, and that someone was Felix, Hyunjin's boyfriend.

It was sending Felix into a panic. He didn't voice his concerns, but he bottled them up which really wasn't good since Felix suffered from Panic Attacks ever since he was young. The more Felix grew concerned for Hyunjin's well-being, the closer and closer he got to a full on mental breakdown. Felix sat in his bed on one of their days off, nearly tearing his hair out at the sight of a thin Hyunjin breathing slowly as he slept, looking like he was close to death with how thin he was actually getting. Felix shut his eyes tightly, trying to get his fast beating heart to slow down. His breathing began to become laboured, his heart clenching painfully.

He was having a Panic Attack.

Tears threatened to fall from Felix's eyes as he whimpered, his breathing still laboured. Jisung was in the room as well, writing some lyrics down when he looked over and saw Felix with his knees against his chest and his hands gripping his currently orange hair. Jisung set his lyric book down on the floor, crawling over to Felix.

"Hey, hey Lix, what's wrong?" Jisung spoke softly.

Felix said nothing, just whimpering softly. Jisung heard Felix's laboured breathing then, and it was becoming worse. Jisung cursed inwardly, turning over to where Hyunjin slept.

"Hyunjin, Hyunjin wake up!" Jisung called out urgently.

Hyunjin groaned slowly sitting up and rubbed his eyes tiredly.

"What Jisung?" Hyunjin huffed.

"Felix is having a Panic Attack" Jisung said, turning back to Felix.

Now that woke Hyunjin up, the older quickly hopping out of bed and pacing over to Felix.

"Felix, hey Lix, calm down" Hyunjin called out softly.

"I-I can't" Felix whimpered, lifting his head.

Hyunjin's heart lurched painfully in his chest, and he also wondered what had caused Felix's Panic Attack. Hyunjin reached his hands forward to grip Felix's wrists and slowly brought his hands down, holding the considerably smaller hands in his own tightly.

"Felix, baby, breathe. In and out, slowly, through the nose and out the mouth" Hyunjin spoke gently.

Felix tried, he really did, but it didn't work. Felix only slipped further into his panic. It was confusing really, in Felix's mind. His suspicions, turned into fears, turned into overwhelming concern and finally a full on Panic Attack. Jisung watched with worried eyes, but he kind of guessed what caused Felix to spiral down into a Panic Attack. They were all worried about Hyunjin's health and well-being, but Felix had a tendency to keep his worries silent and bottled up, and more than once it's sent him spiralling downward into a Panic Attack or some other mental breakdown.

Hyunjin let go of one of Felix's hands, stroking the younger's cheek soothingly to try and help. Felix just whimpered in pain, his chest constricting from his fast breathing. Hyunjin chewed at his bottom lip, not really knowing what else to do...until he had a sudden idea. Hyunjin surged forward, connecting his and Felix's lips in a soft kiss. Felix's eyes widened, his heart surprisingly slowing down and the kiss caused him to hold his breath. Hyunjin broke the kiss after a few moments, sighing softly.

"Better?" Hyunjin asks, staring into Felix's warm brown eyes.

"Yeah" Felix hummed, his legs slowly stretching out.

Jisung had went back to writing in his lyric book, giving the two some space. Felix then felt tears fall from his eyes, racing down his cheeks.

"Hey, why are you crying now?" Hyunjin smiled gently.

"Hyunjin, what's going on with you?" Felix sniffled, "everyone's noticed how fucking thin you're getting and it's not healthy. You look like a walking corpse Jinnie" Felix muttered sadly, reaching out to pull Hyunjin onto the bed with him.

Hyunjin sighed softly, running his hands through Felix's soft, bright orange hair.

"I wish I could tell you baby" Hyunjin frowned.

"Just tell me Hwang Hyunjin" Felix huffed, "everyone suspects it...do you have some kind of eating disorder?"

Hyunjin scoffed loudly, shaking his head when a chuckle.

"No, God no" Hyunjin sighed heavily, "I..." Hyunjin couldn't say it.

"It's insomnia isn't it?" Felix asked suddenly.

Hyunjin was taken aback by the sudden question, wondering how the hell Felix guessed correctly.

"How did you-" "I had a friend back in Australia who had insomnia. He just kind of...lost his appetite after a while and started getting really thin. His will to live also went too..." Felix trailed off, but Hyunjin know what Felix was implying.

Felix gripped the front of Hyunjin's shirt, staring up at his boyfriend with a look that shattered Hyunjin's heart.

"I-I can't lose you too" Felix's voice shook, "please Jinnie, you need help" Felix begged, his tears falling more rapidly.

Hyunjin couldn't say no to that, and he nodded his head, promising to go to the doctors later that day to try and get them to prescribe him medicine to help him sleep and gain back his appetite. Hyunjin did exactly that, and in about a month Hyunjin was back to normal. Well, as normal as an insomniac could get. He still had those nights where he couldn't sleep no matter how much he tried, but that only happened 3-4 times a month, and the doctors had said that, though it would take a long time, Hyunjin wouldn't have that problem anymore.

Felix had also gotten prescribed medication for his Panic Attacks, and they were less and less frequent now. Of course, Felix's Panic Attacks couldn't be completely cured by medication as it was more of a problem that Felix had to work out himself or he would just naturally grow out of it.

But for the most part, even with Jisung's Night Terrors, Hyunjin's Insomnia and Felix's Panic Attacks, Stray Kids would remain together, no matter what.

I am actually so proud of this one-shot oh my god. TBH, I feel like these one-shots are better written than my actual stories...and idk if that's a bad thing or not...
