In which Chan and Felix are madly in love with each other, but neither can say those three words...

Chan and Felix started out as best mates, because both were Australian and had a lot of other things in common, like their favourite artists. Chan then kind of took Felix under his wing, because he knew the struggles of trying to learn Korean when he first moved over to Korea. Chan, along with Minho kind of stuck by Felix's side, maybe Chan more so than Minho.

Minho was the first one to notice about their little 'dating but also tip toeing around each other' ways. In a way, it infuriated Minho to no end. They were painfully obvious yet trying to hide it all at the same time. Lingering touches, prolonged stares, hugs that lasted slightly longer than usual and sneaking into one another's rooms in the early hours of the morning when they thought no one was watching.

"It's so frustrating!" Minho threw his hands up, obviously angered by something but Changbin didn't know exactly what.

"What's frustrating?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

Minho flailed his arms over to where Chan and Felix stood having a hushed conversation in the corner of the room.

"Those two Australian idiots are so in love it makes me sick, but we have yet to hear them actually say the goddamned words!" Minho exclaimed quietly, huffing.

"Minho" Changbin sighed heavily, "just give them time alright? They'll say it" but even Changbin doubted his own words.

Sure enough, two weeks later and still nothing happened. Well, not entirely nothing. Something had obviously happened between Chan and Felix because Felix was avoiding the fuck out of Chan for some odd reason. The leader was a bit upset and hurt that Felix was so obviously avoiding him, but he figured the younger needed space.

One night, Felix went into Changbin and Chan's shared room, sitting down on the bed as he watched Changbin write lyrics. The older of the two had heard and seen Felix come in, but didn't say anything as he waited for Felix to speak.

"Changbin, go you think Channie loves me?" Felix asked bluntly.

Changbin was definitely not expecting that question.

Changbin froze, swivelling his chair around to face Felix.

"What?" Changbin was gobsmacked.

"I said, do you think-" "no, I know what you said but...why are you asking me?" Changbin asked.

Felix just shrugged his shoulders, bending his he'd down so he was staring into his lap. Changbin's shock disappeared as he sighed heavily.

"Felix, are you doubting Chan's feelings towards you?" Changbin asked softly.

Felix opened his mouth to say 'no, of course not' but he closed his mouth once again, frowning. Did he doubt Chan's feelings towards him? With a bit of hesitation and tearful eyes, Felix nodded.

"Y-yeah, I guess I do" Felix sniffled.

Changbin stared at Felix with sad eyes, but he knew that Chan did love Felix dearly and adored the younger Australian, even if he never said it. Changbin sighed, glancing over to the door that was slightly open, a stray black curl peeking through the tiny opening. Changbin smirked, a smirk that was small and unnoticeable.

'So, Chan's been listening in eh? Tch, that idiot' Changbin thought to himself, rolling his eyes as he turned back to Felix.

"Listen to me Lix, don't doubt Chan's feelings towards you alright? It's so painfully obvious that he loves you very much" Changbin cringes at the words he hears himself saying, "and the adores you in every stupid and lovesick way possible, but Lix, you can't just wait for him to say it, because you know Chan's shy about this alright. He may openly show it, but he barely ever says it. Felix, you have to make the first move" Changbin was completely serious.

Felix just nods, sighing softly and not knowing that the person he loved so much was listening in. Chan closed the door softly, quietly sliding down against it until he was in a sitting position with tears in his eyes. He so badly wanted to just come out and say it, to just scream those three words at the top of his lungs so the whole world would know that Bang Chan, leader of Stray Kids, was madly in love with lead dancer Lee Felix.

But he didn't. Something stopped him. He felt like it wasn't the right time. When it was the right time, he'd say it.

The right time...wasn't at all ideal.

They were at K-Con, Jisung and Changbin opening their performance with a few lines from 3RACHA's song Matryoshka. Chan looked behind him at the rest of the members, a smile on his face. However, when his eyes locked with Felix's, his heart swelled.

Without even thinking, Chan had mouthed the words 'I love you' to Felix, causing the younger to freeze and his lips formed a massive grin. Felix mouthed 'I love you too' just before it was time for Chan to do his part, to do the whole 'Imma protect all my ninjas, do it for the squad, do it for the team' but Chan decided to change the words.

"Imma protect Stray Kids, do it for the squad, do it for the team AH!" And so their performance began.

Afterwards, when their performance was over, they basically collapsed onto whatever seat was available. Chan had collapsed onto his back on a couch, Felix collapsing on top of him with a deep giggle. Chan smiled tiredly up at Felix, letting out a soft 'hm' sound.

"I really, really love you Lix, I'm sorry I was too shy to say it all those other times" Chan frowned.

"It's okay Channie. I really, really love you too" Felix smiled back.

"And I really, really wish you two would get a fucking room" Jeongin muttered sourly.

"Oi, watch your language!" Woojin scolded the maknae.

Jeongin just rolled his eyes, grumbling as he made his way over to Minho and Hyunjin and situated himself between his two favourite hyungs. Everyone then proceeded to take a well earned nap, dozing off with happiness and still kind of buzzing from their performance.

I feel like one of these one-shots is gonna turn into an actual story one day, one that probably won't be ChanLix...or maybe a combination of two ships.

I really wanna do a HyunLix story, becuz I fully ship it and also HyunLix stories are rarer than ChanLix...would you guys read it if I did a HyunLix story?
