Forbidden Love (ChanLix)

Being the son of Lucifer himself was had enough, but falling in love with the prince of Werewolves made things so much worse. Chan had never been more scared of his life until now, but he figured that it was bound to happen.

He really, really wished his brothers Changbin and Hyunjin had never walked in on him and Felix locked in a searing kiss, wished that his youngest brother Hyunjin had kept his big mouth shut, and above all, wished only safety and warmth for himself and his lover Felix.

“I’m so tired Channie” Felix whimpered as the two were cuddled up to each other in a darkened corner of an alleyway.

“I know baby, I know” Chan sighed, placing a soft kiss on the top of Felix’s head.

They were both tired of running; tired of hiding, and tired because of the lack of sleep due to fear. All they wanted was to be free to be in love and together without a bounty above their heads. Seeing as both were royalty, the price was high no matter if they were found alive or dead.

Felix shuddered a little as he snuggled closer to Chan, the bitter cold making his skin significantly paler than it once was. It was always so cold; being the middle of Winter, and snow falling more and more each day. Chan and Felix had nothing save for the clothes they’d been wearing the last few months they’d been running.

Being a Demon, Chan had near-infinite stamina. Felix was a different story, because although Werewolves could run for miles without getting tired, the younger hadn’t been eating properly nor had he slept a full night in what felt like years, therefore his stamina had significantly decreased.

As the two were just starting to settle down then, and at least catch a few moments of sleep, they hear the all too familiar voices of the law enforcement. Chan holds his breath as Felix buries his face in Chan's neck. Chan felt Felix's tears, felt the younger convulsing with silent sobs, and he willed himself not to cry along with him. His love was so scared, so tired, and Chan would admit that it had an effect on him too.

"Why won't they just leave us alone?" Felix whimpered. "Why can't they just let us be?"

"We weren't meant to be together Lix; this is just how it's gonna be for a long time" Chan sighed.

Felix fell silent, and the pair waited until they couldn't hear the policemen anymore before either of them spoke again.

"Do you regret it?" Felix muttered.

Chan was confused. "Regret what?"

Felix pulled his head away from Chan's neck, staring into his lover’s eyes. “Do you regret falling in love with me? Do you regret running away with me?”

Chan’s eyes were soft as he responded with a small shake of his head. “I would never regret being with you in any way, shape or form Lix. In my hundreds o years of life, I’ve never met anyone like you. You’re o swet and caring and you have such an open heart and-Lix, people like you are so hard to find these days”

Felix managed a tiny smile, not having the mental strength to smile any wider. He snuggled in close to Chan again, the Demon prince wrapping his arms tightly around his love. Chan wanted nothing ore that to protect his little Wolf from this terrible, cruel world.

It was a few moments later when the pair heard someone poking around in the alleyway. Chan growled, wishing they had at least a few hours of peace. They both stood up, getting ready to run again until…

“Felix?” the familiar voice of Felix’s older brother Jisung was quiet, as if the other was trying not to draw too much attention.

Felix gasped, moving to run to his brother, but Chan was quick to stop him. Although Jisung was more than accepting of the pair, they had no idea if Jisung was alone or not.

“Felix, I know you’re there, and I know Chan is with you. Please come out. Minho’s just outside the alley, but it’s just him and I”

That was a lie. Felix could hear it in Jisung’s voice that it wasn’t just him and Minho there. He could smell the familiar scent of the royal guards even if he was severely malnourished. Felix glanced back at Chan, his eyes holding a question. Chan shook his head, and the two began backing away. However, even in the darkness, Jisung saw them. He looked straight at them, and smiled.

“They’re not here!” Jisung calls out.

Felix’s eyes widened. Jisung knew they were there, so why did he outright lie.

“They’ve already left this place, but their scent ends here! I don’t know where they went!”

Chan knew what Jisung was doing; he was giving them a chance to get the fuck out of there before the guard and Minho knew he was lying.

Felix mouthed a ‘thank you’, Jisung nodding in return. Felix turns, and goes to run but he stumbles. Before he hits the ground, Chan catches him.

“C’mon babe, hop on my back. I’ll carry you. You’re too weak to run” Chan whispers, being quiet enough so anyone outside of the alley couldn’t hear him.

Felix just nods, not having the strength to fight through it as he climbs onto Chan’s back as he quickly makes his way around the corner of the alley and further into the darkness. Jisung watched them go, jumping when Minho appeared behind him. The royal guards came in behind them and scoured the alley, trying to find if their scent led any further. From what Jisung knew, Chan was good at both hiding his scent and making his scent seem like it went in a different direction.

“You let them go, didn’t you?” Minho muttered into Jisung’s ear.

“Yeah, I did” Jisung murmured.

Jisung hoped they could make a good life for themselves, far away from this place. Sure enough, as Chan ran with a half asleep Felix attached to his back, he was already planning to change their names and make it seem like they disappeared into thin air. All he wanted was to be with his lover in peace, forbidden love be damned…
