"Gummy bears or gummy worms?" My best friend Rina asked and I looked over at her. She held up the two bags and I raised an eyebrow at her. She knows I can't choose between those, right?

She noticed my blank stare and huffed before putting both bags into the shopping basket. Then she moved to the next aisle and I followed her like a lost puppy.

"I don't know why he put me in charge of getting the snacks," I mumbled as my eyes scanned the numerous options of flavored potato chips. "He knows I'll end up buying everything."

"That's why you have me," Rina spoke as I grabbed a few bags of chips. "Did he happen to tell you where the hell you guys were going?"

"We're going to his parents' lake house," I answered her and she turned towards me, her eyes widening.

"Will his parents be there?" She asked and I shook my head. She smirked. "So you'll be alone the whole weekend?"

"Don't be such a pervert," I scolded and she laughed. Then her face turned serious.

"Do you really need that many bags of chips, Y/N?" Rina scolded. She snatched the chips from my hands and put them in the basket. "How far away is this place anyways?"

"Well, the last time we went, it took four hours. But that's because Jisung was with us and he wanted to stop to eat."

"Jisung stays eating, I swear to god," Rina rolled her eyes and I laughed. She looked at me again, her eyebrows furrowed. "Wait. What do you mean the last time? When did you go?"

"During the summer," I responded and she frowned.

"Why am I just now hearing about this?" She asked and I shrugged.

"I guess it never came up," I said and she continued to frown. I sighed and moved down the aisle, grabbing a bag of chocolates and putting them in the basket.

She threw her arm around like a child and groaned with frustration. "Seriously! You do not need four pounds of chocolate!"

"Yes I do," I laughed. "And Hyunjin will gladly agree with me."

"I don't doubt that," Rina grumbled. "You guys are basically the same person and it annoys me. But it's also cute so.." She trailed off and I laughed again.

By the time we finished up our shopping, I had spent way almost twenty dollars and Rina was glaring at me. I ignored her, grabbed my bags, and walked out of the store. She trailed behind me, crossing her arms and sulking.

"Stop sulking," I scolded. "If you wouldn't have been there, I probably would have spent way over twenty dollars."

"But you still spend twenty goddamn dollars!" She threw her arms around dramatically and I rolled my eyes. We walked down the street until we approached our apartment. I dug my keys out of my jeans pocket and unlocked the door.

"By the way," I said as Rina and I walked inside. She hummed as we climbed the stairs. "I need your help with packing."

"Are you serious right now?" Rina replied. She gave me a look that told me she was fed up. I shrugged and sat my bags on the couch. "You seriously are the worst. Why do you always wait until last minute?"

"Fuck off, Rina," I grumbled as I walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a can of Sprite from the fridge and popped it open. I took a sip. "Are you going to help me or not?"

"Of course," she said. "What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?" She looked at me, tilting her head to the side. "On a real note though, what the hell have you been doing?"

"Watching imagines on YouTube," I admitted as I sipped my Sprite. "Don't judge me."

She laughed loudly and shook her head. "I hate you," she said jokingly. "Come on. Let's go pack your bag, you lazy ass. Hyunjin is supposed to be here in half an hour."

I followed her into my room and she got into my closet. She dug out one of my backpacks and tossed it onto the bed. I sat down on the edge of the bed and sipped my soda as she looked through my clothes.

After a while, she tossed a couple outfits onto the bed and I looked over at them. I wasn't surprised to see that both outfits were cute and stylish. With a boyfriend like Changbin, she was bound to pick up on his great fashion sense.

"Cute," I said. I took the clothes off of their hangers and bundled them up before stuffing them into my bag. I grabbed some pajamas and stuffed them in as well then I headed to the bathroom. I packed up my necessities and put them into my bag. Then I was done.

"You have to be the saddest person ever," Rina commented and I opened my mouth to respond but my phone started ringing. I fished it out of my back pocket and smiled when I saw that it was Hyunjin calling.

I slid the answer button over and pressed the phone to my ear. "Hi baby!" I said excitedly and he laughed a bit. I smiled. Ahh I'm so in love with his laugh.

"Hey babe. So, I just got out of class and I'm on my way to get you. You're ready, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm ready," I responded. "And before you ask, I got the snacks. Don't ask how much I spent." I saw Rina roll her eyes and I flipped her off. "How long until you're here?"

"I'm about ten minutes away," he replied and i smiled. "I'm so excited for this weekend. We'll finally get to have some privacy."

"Yeah," I sighed longingly. "I know. I'm just anxious to spend time with you."

"Oh, yeah, me too babe. I'll get to hold you and kiss you without the invasions of a clingy goof named Han Jisung."

"He's always interrupting us, isn't he?" I bit my lip as my cheeks started to burn.

Hyunjin laughed. "Yes, he is," he answered. "All right. I'm gonna get off of here. I'll see you soon. I love you."

"I love you too," I said. Then I hung up and stuck my phone back into my back pocket. I looked at Rina. "Okay. So he's on his way."

She smirked a bit. "I figured. What did you talk about that made your face turn into a tomato?"

I smirked. "That's for me to know and you to never find out." I zipped my bag up and picked it up before carrying it into the living room.

"You know, I'm surprised Chan let you borrow his car again," I said as I looked over at him and smirked. "Considering how much he loves the damn thing."

"Right?" He replied. "And also considering how I almost wrecked it last time and we trashed the car."

I forced a laugh. "There is no we. It was you, Jisung, and Felix. You guys kept eating."

Hyunjin shrugged cutely. "We're growing boys. We need to eat."

"But you didn't need to eat my veggie straws," I pouted and he smiled.

"Hey now, that was not me," he replied. "That was Jisung. He eats everything in sight. He's like a human garbage disposer. You have to hide shit from him just so he won't eat it."

"I'll keep that in mind next time," I said. I grabbed the bags of snacks and pulled them up onto my lap. "What do you want first? I have chips, beef jerky, gummies, sweet tart ropes, chocolate..."

"Babe," Hyunjin laughed. "We just started driving. We've got about two hours before we get there."

"Fine," I pouted as I put the bags back into the floorboard. My eyes lit up a bit. "Did you happen to find my book when you were at your house this morning?"

Hyunjin smiled. "It's in my bag. It's in the backseat." I smiled giddily and turned in my seat. I grabbed Hyunjin's bag and unzipped it. I found my book on top and my smile widened. I put his bag back into the backseat and leaned over to kiss his cheek.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome," he said, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment. I smiled to myself and leaned back against my seat. I pulled my legs up and tucked them underneath me. Then I opened my book and started reading.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't spend most of the ride reading my book. But I couldn't help it. I was engrossed in it. The radio was playing softly in the background as I read and I could hear Hyunjin singing along sometimes.

"All right," Hyunjin said and I glanced up from my book. I looked over at him and he grinned. "We're about five miles away."

I smiled and closed my book. I put it into my bag and looked out of the window. Hyunjin's parents' lake house was located on the shore and away from everything else. That's why I had liked it so much. It was like my own personal utopia.

Hyunjin slowed the car down as the lake house came into view. He parked beside the sidewalk and I could hear the rocks crunch under the wheels. I got out of the car and looked up at the house, a smile growing onto my lips.

"It's good to be back," Hyunjin said as he got out of the car. I looked back at him and smiled. He smirked a bit. "I have to say, you look stunning right now."

"You're a dork," I said and he laughed. He winked at me and I rolled my eyes. I grabbed my bags from the floorboard and started walking up the stairs leading to the front porch.

I turned around to see Hyunjin coming up the stairs, his bag in hand. "You should've let me carry your bags," he said and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I got it," I replied and he pouted a bit. I grinned and stood on my toes before pecking his lips. "You're so cute."

"And you're beautiful," he replied and I blushed while shaking my head at my cheesy boyfriend. He reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out a key. I stepped back and let him unlock the door.

He opened the door and stepped inside, holding it for me. I stepped inside and took my shoes off. Hyunjin shut the door and locked it back. Then he grabbed my backpack from me and carried our bags to his bedroom.

I carried the bags of snacks to the kitchen and sat them on the table. Then I walked over to the back porch doors. After I flipped the latch up, I slid the door over and stepped out onto the porch.

I sat down on the patio couch and looked out at the lake. It was the beginning of spring, making the breezes coming in from the lake a little bit chillier than usual but it was tolerable.

The sun was setting and the sky was painted with golds and pinks. I heard the door slide open and Hyunjin came out. "There you are," he said. He had a blanket in his hands. "You're gonna catch a cold. The wind is chilly."

"Then come keep me warm," I replied as I patted the cushion beside me and he smiled. He walked over and sat down. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him before he put the blanket over us.

I cuddled into his side as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders. He kissed the top of my head, making my stomach do somersaults. We may have been dating for almost two years but he still managed to make my heart flutter.

I looked up at him and he looked at me. "I love you, you know that, right?" He asked and I nodded. He grinned before leaning in and pressing his lips against mine. Our lips slowly moved against one another's. The kiss was sweet and innocent.

He pulled away and his cheeks flushed. I bit my bottom lip and leaned my head back against him. I breathed in his scent as I cuddled into him more. Hyunjin kissed the top of my head again and smiled.

I had never loved someone as much as I loved Hyunjin. He was everything to me and, as cheesy as it sounded, I felt like I couldn't live without him.

He was a perfect boyfriend to me, a total upgrade from my petulant high school boyfriends. He was caring and sometimes a little clingy but I liked that aspect about him. He was also really dorky but he never failed to make me smile.

We weren't a perfect couple all the time though. We bickered a lot and sometimes, I would get so mad at him that I would break down. He'd immediately feel bad and we'd make up right after. That was one of the many good things about our relationship.

We had the best conversations right around one in the morning. We'd be cuddled up in bed with his head on my chest and my hands in his hair. He was like a small child in that way but I didn't mind at all. We'd talk for hours about anything and everything that came to mind. It was like we were in our own little world.

I was pretty sure my family adored him almost as much as I did. In fact, my mom and sister were convinced that we were going to get married later on in life.

At first I thought they were joking but they weren't. Then I really thought about it and found myself believing them. I had a strong feeling that Hyunjin was the one for me. And I really couldn't picture myself with anyone else but him. But, of course, we were still so young and marriage wouldn't be in the picture for a while.

"What you thinking about, babe?" Hyunjin asked me and I looked up at him.

"I love you, Hwang Hyunjin," I said softly as I shifted around and put my legs over his lap. "More than you'll ever know."

He adjusted the blanket and grabbed one of my hands. He played with my fingers before bringing my hand up to his lips. He kissed my fingertips, making eruptions of butterflies start in the pit of my stomach.

He kissed the palm of my hand numerous times. "I love you too," he said. Then he rested his cheek against my palm, a cute grin spreading onto his lips.

And at that moment, everything was perfect. I didn't need materials in life like everyone else seemed to. I had Hyunjin and that was enough for me. Whenever I was with him, my heart and mind were in a state of happiness that seemed to be perfect. And even if it lasted for just a little while, he was my nirvana.
