5 years later...(18 years old)

It had been quite some time since you had gone to summer camp, but this time when you returned you would be a councillor.

You were excited about being a councillor, but you knew how much of a pain it was going to be.

You loved kids, being able to play with them and help them, but being with them and having to look after a full cabin for 3 months was going to be exhausting.

You signed in your name, finding your shirt and keys in the break room.

You saw a familiar brunette boy, reading a book in the break room, lost In his own world.

"Hey, oh I mean uh excuse me, do you know a Kim seungmin by any chance?"

You smirked at the boy, he slowly lifted his head up and oh boy were you blown away.

"Yes, actually I do know a Kim seungmin, has it been to long that you forgot me y/n" he chuckled getting up to give you a hug.

Last time you saw him was when you were thirteen, and oh boy has he had a massive glow up over time.

His bright smile set a blush to your cheeks, your heart racing at how close you both were.

You were staring at one another for a few minutes before he cleared his throat and pulled out a chair beside him.

"I have to get into my uniform I'll come back after"

"Okay, Dont leave me hanging".

As you fixed your bandana and started heading out the bathroom, you heard the camp bus and the sound of kids filling the courtyard.

You pulled seungmin out of the break room, holding onto his hand as you excitedly jumped up and down waving at the kids on the bus.

fellow councillors prepared themselves at the sign in tables, you and seungmim grouping and comforting kids into their cabins.

Once the kids were all grouped up, you and seungmin ran through the camp rules and activities before meeting up with the kids in your cabins.

As you walked to your cabin, you saw seungmin and his kids walking close to your group, realising seconds later that your cabins were next door to one another.

You moved in the girls in your cabin, helping them with their things before letting them mingle with seungmins kids next door.

As the kids talked amongst themselves, they started to remind you of how you and seungmin used to be.

"Look over there, looks like my camper is gettting close with yours, closer than normal"

"Awe, their so cute, we should try get them together, their perfect for each other"

"Sounds like something you would say, still the same y/n, I'm in!"

Being the evil councillors you were, you got the rest of your kids to run around and tease the two other campers.

You fist bumped seungmin as you saw the campers faces flash red, the first step of your plan was complete.

One night, when your cabin had claim of the fire pit for the night, you invited seungmins cabin over so you could all relax and chat the evening away.

Seungmin was playing a soft tune on his guitar while everyone conversed with one another.

The topic of "boys" and "crushes" was going around, you and seungmin were giggling at the kids.

"How about y/n and seungmin?, their super close, are you guys dating?"

You and seungmin both blushed, giggling nervously as the kids stared you guys down in curiosity.

"No, where not dating, just friends" you sigh

"But, when we were your age, I had this mad crush on y/n and I confessed to her but she rejected me"

"Ooo~" the kids all cooed

"Do you have feelings for seungmin now y/n?"

"To be honest, seungmin is the most amazing person I've ever met and he always makes me feel loved. I'm unsure of my feelings for him, but I can definitely feel them coming back from such a long time ago"

"What about you seungmin?"

"Same with me, I'm unsure with my feelings as well but I know that I still love y/n deeply"

He stroked your hand as he kissed your forehead.

The kids all awed at you both, managing to throw in some teases.

"All right, that's enough about crushes, who wants to roast marshmallows?"

"MEEEE!" The kids all yelled as they made their way to seungmin.

Once you managed to get your kids to sleep, you sighed tiredly, siting up in your bed.

You watched your kids sleep peacefully, soft and quiet snores filling the room.

One of your kids wriggled around their bed furiously, quiet pants heard from them as they sat up in their bed and called you over quietly.

"Y/n~ I-I had a n-night m-mare" they sobbed into your arms.

You layed them back down into their bed, shushing them and stroking their hair to calm them down and send them to sleep.

You gave them a quick squeeze before walking around The cabin to check on the other campers.

You didn't notice or see him, but seungmin saw how you calmed down the child and he felt a soft smile and a blush creep up.

When you were near, he knocked on the window quietly, catching your attention.

"Seungmin!, it's like 12:00, why are you up so late in the cold?" You whisper yelled at him.

He stared at you for a few seconds before pulling you closer to his chest.

"You hear that?, that's my heart, you make me feel so many things y/n, I can't stop thinking about you"

"Seungmin- I-"

He gently smashed his lips onto yours, stroking your cheek.

You melted into the kiss and kissed back almost immediately.

He pulled away gently before things could escalate.

"I'm sorry, I just had a really big urge to kiss you and couldn't control myself, I should of asked"

"No, no, dont be sorry, I actually liked it"

"Good, I've waited so long to do that"

You giggled softly as he waved off and went back to his cabin.

You went back to bed with a goofy grin plastered on your face.

"Y/n? Where you kissing seungmin?"

"Huh?, oh, Matilda, go back to sleep, it's very late"

"Matilda, she was kissing seungmin"

"ewww~"

"Shh girls, you don't want to wake up the others"

"Too late"

You groaned silently as the rest of your cabin sat up in their beds.

You immediately knew that you wouldn't get the kids back to sleep unless you told them the details.

"Y/n!, y/n!, can you tell us how you met seungmin?"

"Yes Matilda, only If you girls go back to sleep straight after"

"Okays" we're heard quietly all over the room as the campers snuggled back into their beds.

The morning bell screeched through the cabin, waking you all up.

You had two girls snuggled into your shoulders, you were upset that you had to wake them.

As you and your cabin made your way to the cafeteria, you waved over to seungmin who completely ignored you.

"Strange, he must of woken up badly" you said to yourself.

You kept on attempting to talk to seungmin all day, but he kept his cabin distanced and continued to ignore you.

By the end of the day you were fed up with him ignoring you.

You went to his cabin to see what was up with him, but his campers had said he had gone to the lake.

As you made your way to the lake, your heart melted at the sight of one of your campers and one of seungmins campers kissing at The docks, reminding you of when you and seungmin would sit and stargaze.

You saw seungmin nearby peeping behind a boat, silently cheering.

You let the campers have their moment before going to collect your camper, hiding that you didn't see them kissing.

"Oh my goodness Hanna I've been looking for you every where"

"Jae, what are you doing out here"

You look at seungmin who looks at you embarrassed

"Y/n"

"Seungmin"

"We hate you guys being upset with one another, so we will head back to our cabins and let you guys talk"

"Don't forget we will be talking to both of you later" seungmin yells back at the campers as they run away to their cabins giggling.

"Seungmin, why are you ignoring me?"

"Because, I'm embarrassed to face you"

"Why?!"

"Because I kissed you! I freaking kissed you! And I'm scared to face you because I did it without asking"

"All that just because you kissed me?!, I told you it was okay, why are you beating yourself up about it?!"

"Because, It was my first kiss, and I know it was probably your first too, I wanted it to be special but I messed up and let my feelings take control of me"

You had enough of what he was saying so you kissed him, stroking his hair to calm him down.

He kissed back almost immediately, pulling you closer so that he was hugging you.

"I love you so much y/n, I would do anything to protect you, and I promise that I will never hurt you and that I'll always make you feel loved"

"I love you too seungmin, but we have to get back to the campers" you peck his lips before taking his hand.

As you walked back hand in hand, your campers cheered loudly.

"Not just one, but two happy couples we're Brought together tonight, what a way to start the summer" seungmin chuckles

"A perfect way, knowing that I get to spend time with my new boyfriend during and after the summer"

"And who may that be?"

"You, duh"

"Just checking" you both chuckle.

The campers run around you and seungmin, singing the classic "y/n and seungmin sitting in a tree".

You both blushed, chuckling and snuggling into one another as you watched the sunset.

"Just wait till you guys get girlfriends and boyfriends"

"But I don't want a boyfriend"

"Your a little bit young Matilda, you still have many years ahead of you" you place the small girl in between you and seungmin.
