Seungmin

(Y/n) has been working on her essay for about an hour now. The small restaurant nearby where she lives is usually her hangout place. To the point where the owner already knows her.

Her laptop is right in front of her, the word document empty as she just finished the list or table of contents of the ten page essay she needs to turn in in a week.

Although writing about why becoming a social worker is so important to her, it's like easy yet hard to come up with a good strategy to organize everything.

Luckily the pistachios she bought made her brain from going haywire. She took one out from the shell and threw it up in the air before catching it in her mouth.

~~~
"Hey Seungmin!", Changbin and Jeongin waved as they sat down on the chairs in front of him.
"Hey, you're late. I've been waiting for twenty minutes", Seungmin said.
"Calm down. Jeongin had trouble looking for his favorite shoes", Changbin said.
Jeongin shrugged his shoulders and explained that it looks great with the outfit he's wearing which he didn't argue with. They ordered food and talked about their schedule and upcoming events..well Changbin and Jeongin did. Seungmin kind of drifted while he looked over at a girl who's been in her own world, throwing pistachios in the air. Whenever she misses, he'd smile or chuckle. His friends noticed though.
"Who's the chick?", Changbin asked.
Seungmin looked back at them and can see the smirks on their faces.
"First of all, girls don't like it when guys call them chicks. They're women", Seungmin answered.
"Okay fine. Who's the woman?", Changbin asked, rewording his question.
Seungmin rolled his eyes and answered, "I don't know. I just saw her."
Jeongin looked over at the girl and his eyes slightly widened. He recognizes her from somewhere but can't really point it out.
"I swear I've seen her somewhere", Jeongin said.
"Can you guys not look? You're making it obvious. She's gonna think we're creeps", Seungmin said, trying to get their attention.
"You've been staring at her too. Maybe she already thinks you're a creep", Changbin said.
"Munchkin hey!"
The three of them turned to see her hugging a little girl, about age four, and then an older guy. She kissed his cheek which made them wonder.
"Of course she's taken. Chicks like that always are", Changbin said, taking a sip from his drink after the waiter brought all three.
Seungmin kept his eyes on her and softly smiled at how she interacted with the little girl. But the guy didn't stay too long. After a few minutes, he gave a kiss to the little girl and left.
"You think she has any single friends?", Changbin asked, titling the salt shaker onto a piece of napkin and watching the salt come out.
"Why? You want to get rejected again?", Jeongin laughed before getting a hit behind the head.
"That happened one time, and it's not my fault. She liked Chan more. I'm good though. Besides, she probably hates me because I tripped and hit my forehead against her nose. Gotta make sure my shoes are tied next time", Changbin said.
They continued talking but Seungmin couldn't stop looking at the girl. He tries but his eyes kept going back to her. The world goes in slow motion and she just radiates and glows.
"Are you listening?"
Seungmin cleared his throat and said, "what?"
"I said we're having a meeting later. Jeez, you must be hung up on that girl. Why don't you go talk to her?", Changbin asked.
"Didn't you just see? She has a boyfriend", Jeongin said.
"Yeah but it doesn't mean they can't be friends. You can get to know her and, who knows? Maybe he can make something happen", Changbin said.
"Right. He'll be known as someone who ruins relationships. You really want that for him? How is that gonna make us look too since he's part of the team? Everyone is gonna think we're terrible people", Jeongin said.
"He's right. She has a boyfriend and I don't feel comfortable doing that. Anyway, shouldn't we talk about what you did back at the party? I thought we agreed no one would drink. You were so drunk, you couldn't even crawl", Seungmin said.
"Someone spiked the punch bowl . I should've known though. People see a bowl of punch at a party and they decide to pour alcohol in it. Luckily it didn't get out", Jeongin said.
"Yet. You never know who might have been recording", Seungmin said.
~~~

"Are you gonna finish your sandwich?", (y/n) asked Keri.

"It taste funny", Keri said, making a weird face.

"Alright. I can get you something else. What about popcorn shrimp?", (y/n) asked her.

"Oooooooh I love popcorn shrimp", Keri clapped excitedly and laughed.

So (y/n) ordered popcorn shrimp and continued typing her essay.

Her head was hurting but she had to push it and smile so Keri wouldn't see her upset. Last time she did, she felt bad and blamed herself.

"I'm gonna drop you off at grandma's later, okay? I have a few things to take care of for school", (y/n) said.

"Can I come? You're never around anymore", Keri mumbled while pouting.

"You know you can't come. They're gonna kick me out again. Remember what happened last year? I had to study outside of the library and it was more than 100 degrees out. And should I remind you who got sunburnt? You were crying the entire ride back. Trust me, you can spend time with grandma and when I get home, we'll play Jenga", (y/n) raised her eyebrows.

"I love Jenga! That's my favorite game!", Keri smiled and couldn't stop moving from her seat.

"I know. But the Jenga we have is missing a lot of pieces so I'm gonna buy a new one on the way home, okay?", (y/n) smiled and told Keri to eat her food once it arrived so she can keep typing.

~~~
Seungmin headed towards the athletic department where the meeting will be held. On the way there, he saw the same girl that he saw back at the restaurant walking down the path in the middle of the university. She's focused on reading a book that had many many pages. It looks as if the pages kept adding.
"Oh-", Seungmin tripped on a crack and fell forward, hurting his knees.
He dropped his blue duffel bag and his phone flew, cracking as it landed on the ground.
"Are you okay??"
Seungmin's eyes went up, frozen as she walked towards him. He couldn't say anything. As her hand looped around his arm, helping him up, he cleared his throat and grabbed his bag.
"Sorry", he said.
"Sorry? What do you have to be sorry for? You just fell. Are you alright? I'm sure a fall like that will really bruise up your knees. Oh, your phone", she picked up the broken device and frowned.
"Yeah, that's not gonna work anymore", she said.
She handed the phone to him and studied his 'vibe'.
"Hey I know you. You're in the football team, right? I don't know if you remember me. Last semester I had to write about why athletic sports is a whole for children instead of distractions and I'm quoting my my English teacher, 'a waste of time'. I had to prove her wrong though. I got an A. Anyway, I'm (y/n)", she smiled, reaching her hand forward.
"Seungmin. I'm sorry. I guess I just have a bad memory", he said.
"Too many blows to the head?", she asked, joking.
"Ha..hilarious", he chuckled awkwardly, getting the joke right after.
She nodded and looked down at his duffel bag.
"I'm sure you're busy. I have to get going too. College can take a toll on finance right? See ya", she waved and turned away to walk.
"Yeah......hey! Do you think I...can have your number? To like...hang out some time?", Seungmin asked, scratching the back of his neck.
(Y/n) turned around and smiled, "with what phone if yours is broken?"
"It's not like everyone is limited to one phone. I can buy a new one. So?", he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Both of them walked away with smiles on their faces. They had gotten each other's phone numbers. He's sure to call her soon.
"Hey where were you? The meeting started twenty minutes ago", Chan, the captain of the football team, stopped writing on the white board as soon as Seungmin entered.
"Sorry. Did I miss anything important?", Seungmin asked, sitting between Changbin and Jeongin.
"We were just talking about a few plays. Anyway..", Chan continued talking while Changbin noticed the state Seungmin is in.
"Why are you smiling when you look like shit? What the hell happened?", Changbin asked.
"Nothing", Seungmin answered.
"I see through your lies. What is it?", Changbin asked, nudging his arm.
"Alright. I talked to the girl from the restaurant. I got her number", Seungmin whispered.
"No shit-"
"Stop cursing", Jeongin whispered to Changbin.
"Are you serious?? Man that's awesome. Are you gonna ask her out?", Changbin asked.
"Need I remind you that she has a boyfriend", Jeongin said.
"Okay fine. Are you going to ask her to hang out with you in a friendly manner?", Changbin asked, giving Jeongin the crazy eyes.
"Yeah but...I'm not sure when", Seungmin said.
"You better call her soon. Maybe the day after tomorrow. I would say tomorrow but we have that game and you can't miss that", Changbin said.
"Right", Seungmin said.
~~~

"Ugh I'm so exhausted", (y/n) sighed as she closed the door as soon as she entered her home.

"You're back! We can play Jenga with grandma!", Keri ran up to her and wrapped her little arms around her waist.

"Oh...actually Keri, it took more than I thought it would. I forgot to buy the Jenga. I'm so sorry", (y/n) sighed.

Keri unwrapped her arms and looked up at (y/n), frowning. She didn't say anything. She just turned and walked into her room, slamming the door shut.

(Y/n) knocked on her door and kept calling out for Keri but she wouldn't answer. She didn't want to pressure her to talk but she really did want to make her feel better. Looking over at the clock, she noticed it's almost 10:30pm. Keri usually gets happy when (y/n) makes chocolate chip cookies...but she has to wait until the next morning.

"Goodnight Keri. We'll talk tomorrow", (y/n) said before going to her own room.

Sighing, she put on her pjs and sat on her bed, going through her bag to see what else she has to do for her classes.

~~~
"What's that smell?", Keri rubbed her sleepy eyes and walked into the kitchen to see (y/n) taking out the chocolate chip cookies from the oven.
Her mouth gaped open so wide that she had multiple chins, despite her being so skinny. Her smile returned and hopped her way towards the table.
"Can I have one?", Keri asked.
"Did you brush your teeth?", (y/n) asked.
She shook her head and hopped off the chair, running towards the bathroom. (Y/n) can hear the sink being turned on. While Keri did that, (y/n) got her backpack ready so she can head to school.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.....", Keri counted her numbers as she held (y/n)'s hand, skipping with joy.
She's excited that she's finally going to her first day of preschool.
"When we get there, no crying. Okay? You have to be brave", (y/n) said.
"I'm always brave", Keri laughed.
About a few minutes later, they arrived and (y/n) gave Keri a hug and a kiss before saying good bye. Keri didn't cry at all, she just ran into the classroom.
"Expected a bit more sadness but..okay",(y/n) began walking to her university.
~~~

"Ready? The game is about to start", Chan pushed the doors of the locker room to see Seungmin sitting on the bench, staring down at his new phone.

"I'll be right there", Seungmin said.

Chan was hesitant at first but he left him alone. Seungmin had just sent a text message to (y/n) five minutes ago but she hasn't responded.

Convincing himself that she'll respond later, he put his stuff inside the locker and left.

"You guys did great! Now remember we have another game in two weeks but it has to be better than this one. We'll be having more meetings so everyone will be prepared and a few more practices as well. Good job!"

The coach dismissed the team and the crowd separated to find their sons who just won the game. Their friends went around and showed everyone their win. Seungmin was talking to Changbin when he looked over at the crowd and noticed (y/n) sitting on the bleachers.

"Hey I'll talk to you later", Seungmin patted Changbin's shoulder and sprinted forward.

(Y/n) waved at him and stood up, smiling as he took off his helmet.

"Hey, I didn't think you were gonna come", he said.

"I had some time to kill. You were amazing out there", she said.

"Thanks. It took a lot", he said.

She nodded and glanced over at his team who were watching Seungmin's next move.

"Actually, I got your text...about wanting to hang out tomorrow. And yes, I'd love to. It has to be early though because I have some things I gotta do later that day", she said.

"Oh okay. That's fine. I'm just glad you said yes..Um...is your boyfriend okay with that though?", he asked, setting his helmet down.

"Boyfriend? What makes you think I have a boyfriend?", she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Seungmin blushed and chuckled awkwardly while looking down.

"I saw you at the restaurant yesterday. There was a guy and a little girl. Sorry if it sounds creepy and stalkerish", he said.

"So you've seen me before? Hm, guess your memory does suck. And that guy isn't my boyfriend. He's my cousin. He came to visit my family all the way from Hawaii where he lives with his wife. Is that why you didn't come talk to me?", she asked.

"..hm?", his eyebrows raised as he's confused.

"Well if you've seen me at the restaurant, you must have wondered for a few minutes, right?", she asked.

Seungmin would've thought she'd change her mind about wanting to hang out but she had a smile on her face the entire time. He felt like if he opened his mouth to speak, he'd say something stupid.

"It's okay. I'm not seeing anyone. At all...if that's what you wanted to know", she said.

"..right..so..do you wanna hang out for a bit? My friends and I are gonna go get something to eat", Seungmin asked, trying not to smile.

"I can't. I have to get home and finish up a few online assignments. I just wanted to drop by and see your team...and you. You guys really improved from the last time. You must have practiced for hours", she said.

"It's a team effort. Alright then I guess I'll see you tomorrow. What time?", he asked.

"After 8? Is that okay with you or do you have classes?", she asked.

"No that time is perfect. I can go to your house and pick you up. We can have breakfast and we'll go somewhere", he said.

"Yeah. That sounds nice. I'll see you tomorrow", she smiled before walking away, glancing back at Seungmin for a second.

~~~
"You look so pretty", Keri said to (y/n).
"Thanks. I have somewhere important to go right after I drop you off at school", (y/n) said fixing her hair.
Then they heard footsteps along the doorway.
"Look grandma. She's wearing a nice dress", Keri smiled while clapping her hands.
"Yes she is. Keri I'm gonna drop you off at school before I go to work. Can you go get your backpack? It's downstairs."
As Keri left the room, (y/n) turned around and said she's the one dropping her off.
"Mom, I need to speak to the principal anyways. It's no trouble", she said.
"Where are you going?", her mom asked.
"Somewhere", she answered, grabbing her purse.
"On a date?", her mom asked.
(Y/n) didn't answer and instead made sure to send a message to Seungmin.
"Why can't you focus on your life instead of going on dates with these boys that aren't even interested in getting to know you. You have no respect for yourself nor Keri", her mom said.
"I don't have time for this. I'll be back later", (y/n) walked passed her mom and held Keri's hand to walk her to school.
~~~

"Can we get ice cream after? I wanna get chocolate", Keri said, skipping.

"Sure. We'll go for a bit and then we have to go home because I have a lot of homework I need to finish up", (y/n) said.

"Okay!"

"(Y/n), hey! You look so nice", Seungmin as he got out of his car and opened the passenger side for her.

"Thanks. You don't look half bad yourself", she smiled and got in, putting on her seatbelt.

To be completely honest, she's really nervous. Out of all the guys she has dated, she really feels like Seungmin likes her for her. Seungmin is also nervous, more nervous than her. He has never had a girlfriend before. Not that there's something wrong with that.

They drove a few minutes until they arrived at a small cute family restaurant. Apparently his mom is the owner while his dad is off traveling for his job.

"Hm, first date and I'm already meeting the parents", she teased.

'So this is a first date..', Seungmin thought, trying not to smile.

When they walked in, the first person to come up to them is his mother who is extremely excited and happy to meet (y/n). Ever since he mentioned bringing her to eat breakfast, his mom has been on his case, asking questions about her.

"Hello! You must be (y/n). My son has told me quite a lot about you. But you're even more beautiful than he described", his mom smiled, the wrinkles around her mouth showing.

"Oh he has?", (y/n) looked at Seungmin who was quite a blushing mess.

"Don't you wanna take our order mom? I'm sure if we keep talking, we'll die of starvation", Seungmin said.

"Alright. Have a seat anywhere. I'll go get the menu", his mom said.

Seungmin placed his hand on her lower back so she can walk towards the booth near the window. When she sat down, he questioned himself whether he should sit next to her or in front. She noticed so she scooted over and patted the spot next to her.

"Is that alright with you?", he asked.

"If I wasn't okay with it, I wouldn't have moved over. Just sit down. Your mom is watching", she chuckled.

Seungmin then sat down next to her and apologized.
(Y/n) shook her head and smiled to herself.

His mother gave them the menu and took their order before going to the back to fix up their food.

"I like your mom. She's so nice. Is your dad the same?", she asked.

"He's strict. He wants my brothers and I to finish our education and strive for a very successful and beneficial career. But I feel like that's what every parent wants", he said.

"And is football something you wanna do?", she asked.

"It's not something that I love. But I don't hate it either. I wanna be a musician. But not just any musician. I wanna play music for young children. Music for them is very beneficial in many ways. It can reduce stress and anxiety, provides comfort, and elevates moods. Some children can go through events that can traumatize them or cause them pain. It could be something small or big but either way it can stay in their memory. I want them to live happy lives", he explained.

"Wow, that's really great. What inspired you?", she asked.

"My younger brothers. They look up to me and I want to set an example for them. What about you? What are you studying?", he asked.

"I'm undecided. This is my first year so...I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to college. After a year, I felt unhappy working in a place that doesn't respect people and I was paid less than everyone else. So with the money I saved up, I decided to go to college. Although I still have a lot to pay. But yeah, I have no clue what I wanna do", she said.

"Do you have any hobbies?", he asked.

"I like taking photographs. I haven't done so in a while though. I don't even know where I left my camera. So I take pictures on my phone. I take so many that I run out of space and have to buy another one", she said.

"What do you take pictures of?", he asked.

"Anything that catches my eye. But it's all about the angle. I don't care if I have to climb a tree or get down on the ground whether it's mud or wet grass. Once I fell off the roof after trying to take a picture of the moon and the stars. Had a broken arm but it was all worth it", she smiled.

"Maybe that can be something you can do. There are a lot of famous photographers. You can be one to", he said.

She shook her head and said , "I don't wanna do it to become famous. But it'll be nice to show everyone how beautiful the world can be, even the people in it. Though there can be some things and people that aren't beautiful. Not look-wise but the damage they can do. That can also be exposed with photographs", she said.

"And what's beautiful for you?", he asked.

She smiled at the thought of all the photographs she took of Keri. One when she had her first birthday party. Another of Keri hugging her favorite stuffed bear. And a few others that she has in a box. Sometimes when she's having a bad day, she'll go through them.

Her thoughts were disrupted by her cellphone ringing. She answered it and heard Keri's teacher's voice. Apparently Keri got into a fight with another girl and pulled her hair.

"Alright. I'll be right there", (y/n) sighed as she put her phone away.

"What's the matter?", he asked.

"Do you think you can do me a huge favor?"

~~~
Keri was sitting on a chair in the principal's office, swing her legs as she looked down. (Y/n) walked in and apologized to the principal before holding Keri's hand. When they were outside, Seungmin pushed himself off of his car, watching the small child pouting. They got into the car, atmosphere very quiet.
"What were you thinking Keri? Why did you pull the other girl's hair?", (y/n) asked, looking back at Keri.
"Because..", Keri mumbled quietly.
"Because what? There's no excuse to ever hit someone. We already talked about this. If someone bothers you, ignore them and tell an adult. Violence doesn't solve anything", (y/n) said.
"She said her mom is saying to her friends that you have a lot of boyfriends", Keri mumbled again, voice cracking a little.
(Y/n) looked at her through the rear view mirror before saying anything else.
"Let's just talk about this at home", (y/n) said.
Seungmin felt a bit uncomfortable because he doesn't know the situation. He drove them home and watched (y/n) got out of the car and grabbed Keri without saying anything. He also got out of the car and followed behind them, calling out for (y/n) but she just ignored him.
"Go inside", (y/n) said to Keri, which she did.
"(Y/n) wait..can we hang out again?", he asked.
She shook her head and pushed her hair out of the way.
"I should've thought this through. This isn't a good idea. This is too much. We can't hang out anymore", she said.
"Why? Kids get into little fights all the time. I-"
"She's my daughter", she said, watching his reaction.
"She's your daughter? I thought she was your sister", he said.
"You gonna run off now? Go ahead. You won't be the first anyways. I shouldn't have agreed to this", she said.
"Run off? You think I'd run off just because you have a daughter? No way. You have your own personal reasons that I won't force you to share. But I still wanna see you. I wanna get to know you. I wanna get to know your daughter-"
"Why? Because you feel bad that I'm some 19 year old with a daughter?", she asked.
"Why does that matter? Many teenagers have kids. I'm not judging anyone. I wanna get to know you because I like you. And your daughter must mean a lot to you. She's your family. I wanna get to know her too", he said, walking towards her.
(Y/n) looked deeply into his eyes, checking if he means what he says. No guy has ever said they wanted to get to know her and her daughter. Usually when she drops the 'I have a daughter' bomb, the guys make up some lame excuse and she doesn't see them anymore. That's why she stopped trying.
But when she met Seungmin, her feelings changed.
"What will happen after you get to know her? Because I don't want her to become confused and get hurt", she said.
"Well I'm gonna need her permission to be able to ask you out on an actual date. A date that lasts the whole day. I just can't go out with you if she's not okay with it. Right? Is that alright with you?", he asked.
(Y/n) smiled and nodded.
"Do you wanna come in?",she asked, opening the door.
"Yeah", he smiled.
It's been about a month since (y/n) and Seungmin began their relationship. Keri was having trouble with the idea at first but as she got to know him, she was more open with him and loves when he's around.
As for her mother....
She always gives him a nasty look, ignoring him whenever he'd say hi or ask how she's doing. Though (y/n) isn't surprised due to her past dating experiences.
"Hey, do you have any plans for tomorrow?", Seungmin asked.
"Well I was planning to take Keri out for some ice cream. Why?", (y/n) asked.
"Because I wanna take you out tomorrow. And Keri too. It's not everyday a person turns 20", Seungmin smiled.
"Oh...you're not thinking about throwing me a party, right? Because I really hate parties. And turning 20 isn't a big deal. It's just another reminder that I'm getting old", she said.
(Y/n) went over to her closet and organized her clothes while Seungmin sat on her bed.
"Turning any age is a big deal because life can be short. You need to appreciate that you made it to another year and how other way to appreciate that than spending time with the ones who care about you? Do you think we should invite your mom?", Seungmin asked.
And as he asked that, her mother stopped walking and leaned against the doorframe with her arms crossed over her chest.
"What is he doing in here?? I thought I made it clear I don't want anyone in your room", her mother said.
"We're not even doing anything. We're just talking", (y/n) said, rolling her eyes.
"Talking? Do you know what that leads to? Another child to take care of. You don't even take care of Keri", her mother began to talk about different things to make the situation worse.
"I was just leaving. I'll call you later, okay?", Seungmin kissed (y/n) on the cheek before waving goodbye to her mother which she paid no attention to.
"What's your problem?? Ever since I met Seungmin, you've been on my case.", (y/n) argued as she checked her boyfriend isn't in sight.
"My problem? You're the one with the problem. I didn't raise you so you can open your legs for any guy that walks into your life. Are you that insecure??", her mother followed (y/n) as she walked towards the living room.
(Y/n) tried to ignore her but she kept following her, saying cruel things about her. To think that her own mother is saying these types of things about her.
Sometimes (y/n) thinks the reason why her mother is like this is because she really loved when Keri's father was around. She blames (y/n) and only thinks of that. Maybe because he's the son she always wanted.
"If you walk out of that door, you're not allowed to come back. Do you hear me? Keri will stay with me because you don't have what it takes to be responsible for her. If you think you're all grown up now, go find somewhere else to live. And don't you dare come back begging for money. But I know you will because you don't have a job and I'm the one paying for your classes. Not anymore. Go see if that boyfriend of yours will pay for it", her mother yelled as (y/n) placed her hand on the door knob.
Tears blurred her vision, to the point where it feels like she's not wearing her contact lenses. How can a mother be so cruel to her own daughter? (Y/n) would never act that way towards Keri because she will always be supportive, even when decisions are hard.
"Fine. But I'm taking Keri with me. You don't even love her. I do. I love my daughter. So much that I've made many sacrifices to have her. I've kept my mouth shut every time you'd say something to me but not this time. Ever since I got pregnant with Keri, you've changed. I get that I'm just a disappointment to you. But every time I see Keri, I always get reminded that I've done a good job. The reason why I feel like I haven't done a good job is because of you. I don't want that kind of negative energy around Keri. So you can take me to court. I don't care. You won't win the case and you know it. So don't even try", (y/n) said before going up to her room to pack up her things.
She messaged Seungmin if he could come back and help. Surprisingly, he didn't hesitate to answer when she asked if she and Keri could stay at his place for a few days. But seeing the way her mother treats her, he didn't ask why because he already knew.
They stopped at Keri's school and (y/n) got out of the car to sign her out early. She didn't want to wait until school was over because she felt like her mother was going to be waiting outside, ready to pick Keri up.
"Where are we going?", Keri asked, skipping towards Seungmin's car.
"We are going to be staying with Seungmin for a bit, okay? I'll explain more later", (y/n) said.
As soon as Keri spotted Seungmin, she ran towards him and hugged him. Of course he had a huge smile on his face while carrying her into his arms.
"Is it true we're sleeping at your house? If we are, can I stay in your room? And can we play games? Do you have games? I love Jenga", Keri smiled while placing her little hands on his head.
"Of course I have games. We can play whenever we want", Seungmin helped Keri into the car and made sure (y/n) is fine.
"Are you sure it's alright to stay at your place? We can always go to a hotel. I don't want to be a bother", (y/n) said.
"You're my girlfriend. I'm not gonna let you stay in a hotel when I have three empty rooms at my house. You and Keri can stay or as long as you want. Maybe you can stay there permanently but I don't want to get ahead because I know we just started dating. It's your decision. Just know you have my full support", Seungmin smiled, placing his hands on her forearms.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do Seungmin. My mom is right. I don't have a job so I don't know how I'm gonna pay for my classes and Keri's education. I'm gonna have to drop out so I can get a full time job and hopefully that will cover everything. I don't know if anyone will hire me though because of who my father is. He knows everyone in this city so I'm not sure who he talked to. I'm probably gonna have to move and...I don't know. I'm just so stressed out", she groaned, head hurting so much that she just wanted to scream.
"Don't think about that now. I will help you, okay? You're not alone", Seungmin embraces her in a hug and kissed her temple.
After settling down, they got in the car and drove to Seungmin's house. Keri instantly ran in and gasped at the fish tank he has in his living room. She couldn't help but stare at each one. Seungmin held (y/n)'s hand while going towards one of the bedrooms.
"You two can stay in here. You have your own bathroom and if you need me, I'm right in front", Seungmin point towards the door across the hall.
(Y/n) smiled and thanked him for everything he's done. She kissed his cheek and sighed.
"Do you ever wonder what would've happened if I never stopped to help you when you tripped? I always think about that. I haven't felt safe in a really long time...Actually...I never told you the story about Keri, right?", she asked, looking up at him as her hands were wrapped loosely around his neck.
"You don't need to tell me if you don't want...if it's too personal", Seungmin said.
"I want to. But I wanna know if you want to know", she asked.
"Yeah. I'd love to", Seungmin smiled and sat on the bed, patting the spot next to him.
She sat down and held his hand, making sure he understands that by sharing this with him means that she truly cares about him and puts 100% trust into him.
"I met Keri's father when I turned 14. We would hang out everyday and share little secrets with each other. After a few months he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was quite young so I thought that love can happen any time. Then I ended up pregnant and my mom was not on board at all. She wanted me to terminate the pregnancy but his parents convinced her to change her mind. She wasn't fond of him at first but when she found out that his parents are rich, she would treat him as if he were her son. But then when I was around 8 months pregnant, he got killed in a hit and run. He never had the chance to meet Keri. I was really scared because I didn't know how to take care of a baby and instead of my mom helping me, she would criticize me. When I was 18 and had just graduated high school, I was hanging out with this guy I met at the graduation party. We got along pretty well. Then a week later I told him I have a daughter. He stopped talking to me after that. Any guy I'd meet, even if I just want to be friends with them, they'd stop talking to me after I tell them that Keri's my daughter. I used to feel upset but then I'd remind myself that Keri will always be my first priority. If a person stops being my friend or doesn't want to be around me anymore because of that, I try not to make a big deal out of it. But I'm glad you're here. I can tell you really care about Keri. I just hope you don't go running", she said.
"Never. I'm here for you and Keri. Even if things don't work out in the future, I will still be here. I'm gonna bring in your bags and I'll help you settle in", Seungmin kissed her cheek before going out of the room.
The next morning, (y/n) woke up to the smell of food. Rubbing her eyes, she noticed Keri wasn't beside her. So she decided to get off of the bed and walk over to where the smell was coming from.
She walked into the kitchen and found Seungmin and Keri decorating a cake.
"Wait you were supposed to be asleep still. We were gonna take the cake to you", Keri stepped off of the chair and tried pushing (y/n) back into the room but Seungmin said it was okay.
"Happy birthday! We made unicorn cake! I did the unicorn. Look!", Keri pulled her towards the table so she could see the cake.
It was a bit messy and the frosting is all over their faces. But she didn't care. (Y/n) absolutely loved and enjoyed the moment as she looked at both of them.
"Thank you for the unicorn cake. I love it!", (y/n) smiled at them and wiped off a bit of frosting from Seungmin's cheek.
Keri clapped as she kept begging for her to cut the cake which she did with the help of Seungmin. She ended up with a small piece of cake and a cup of milk.
"So any complaints of turning 20?", Seungmin asked.
"Nope. Not one. Thanks Seungmin. You have no idea how grateful I am to have you in my life", she kissed his cheek before sitting next to Keri to eat a piece of cake.
They had the entire day planned so (y/n) could enjoy her 20th birthday. Seungmin didn't want her to think about any of the problems. He never thought he'd meet someone like her.
~2 years later~
"I can't believe you graduated from college. I'm so proud of you", (y/n) smiled while Seungmin wrapped his arms around her.
Keri gave him a bouquet of flowers and told him that she wanted to cook for him so they can celebrate. Since (y/n) had lots of time on her hands, she taught Keri how to cook. Some foods that don't take too much time to make. Even if she's just six years old, she can make a really delicious grilled cheese sandwich.
"How are you feeling? I know you were in some pain this morning", Seungmin asked.
"I'm fine now. I was just on my feet for too long. This little one is gonna be a fatty", (y/n) smiled while patting her stomach which still needs 8 weeks.
(Y/n) decided that college isn't for her at the moment and decided to focus on Keri and the one on the way. Seungmin's mom convinced her to work at the restaurant and is doing marvelous. She's very excited to meet her first grandchild, even though she really loves Keri.
Seungmin proposed to (y/n) a few weeks ago and is planning to have the wedding after a few months of having the baby. Keri is really excited and is already thinking of names for the baby. One which happens to be Mr. Wiggly butt since the baby moves too much.
Seungmin's friends to this day still tease him and even asks if they're planning to have more kids which they are but putting it on hold for a few years.
They just want to focus on the wedding and the baby and whatever else the future holds.
