Changbin

"Dude, that chick keeps staring."

"She's not. Don't mind her."

Changbin, the person (y/n) has been crushing on for a few months, has been hanging out with his friends to talk about an upcoming project. He has noticed her and sometimes even teases her by giving soft glances with a sly smirk. Then that's when she'd look away with red cheeks.

"Does she have a thing for you or something?", his friend, Felix asked.

"What is up with these questions? We have a song to write and we have to submit it by tonight", Changbin said.

Felix shrugged his shoulders and fixed the blank sheet of paper in front of him while Changbin looked up at the ceiling to think of some lyrics.

"But you're into her right? You gotta at least tell me that", Felix said.

Changbin chuckled and threw the pencil at him.

"Keep working", he said, shaking his head.

"Dammit, are you sure there isn't a position left? How about that housekeeping job?", (y/n) asked the owner of the building.

"I'm sorry. The last spot was taken", the owner said.

(Y/n) huffed out a breath and thanked the owner. She walked out of the building looking left and right, wondering if there are any other places that are hiring. She looked all day until the sun no longer was out. She couldn't believe no one was hiring at all and it is a time for people to be having jobs.

Her feet were tired by the time she arrived at her hotel room, sighing in relief as she finally made contact with the bed. She frowned and wondered what it would be like to be living in a huge house and having loads of money, to not worry about owing people money.

Then as she thought things couldn't get worse, the people next door began playing music so loud, the walls vibrated. She groaned and covered her face with the pillow.

"I swear, if they have the music on all night, I am not afraid of giving a complaint", she said to herself.

The next morning, she woke up with a birds nest for hair. Every time she sleeps, her hair always ends up in a mess even though she brushed it the night before. She quickly showered and headed towards the dance studio where she has been volunteering to do maintenance. She never complained about that because she would always have some time to practice some of her dancing, improving quite a lot.

"Damn", she groaned, noticing the broom becoming worn out.

Placing it aside, she grabbed the mop and other cleaning supplies she needs and went over to the studio. At the moment it's 7am. Usually people don't come in to use the dance studio until around 10 so she had plenty of time.

The mirrors were always a pain to clean because 1. there's like more than ten of them and 2. they're way bigger and taller than her so she has to use steps.

"Well, who's this?"

That voice made her turn quickly. There were three guys, one who was shorter, another who has longer hair and the last who had black hair and a sly smile. She thinks she's seen them before.

"What do you want?", she asked.

"Nothing. Just curious", the one in the middle said.

He must be the one they follow. And those two are his minions. The 'leader' stepped forward and glanced over at the cleaning supplies.

"Hm..pathetic. Don't you have a real job?", he asked, taking the dirty rag from her hands and throwing it to his left.

His minions laughed. She was about to pick up the rag but he grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.

"Yah Minho, leave her alone."

(Y/n) looked over at the entrance and her eyes widened a bit as Changbin walked in, setting his things down.

"I'm not doing anything. I'm just talking to this girl but she's so sensitive. She can't take a joke", Minho said.

Changbin removed his hand from her wrist and told him to keep walking, standing in front of her to create a barrier with his body. Minho rolled his eyes and walked away with the other two. As they closed the door, Changbin turned around and smiled.

"Thanks for doing that. I need to go take these cleaning supplies back", she chuckled awkwardly while picking up the dirty rag.

"Oh no. I'm not letting you get away that easily. You owe me", he said.

Standing up, she looked at him as he placed his hands in his pockets. His eyebrow rose upward, waiting for her to speak.

"I'm not sleeping with you if that's what you're thinking", she said.

"I'm very offended by that comment. Because I'm a guy, I wanna sleep with you, right? I'm not an airhead nor a pervert", he said.

"...sorry. Well what do you want? I don't have money", she said.

"I don't want your money. But I do need someone to go with me to this festival that I was invited to. I don't wanna go but it's mandatory. You can suffer with me", he said.

"I don't even know you", she said.

"You know me enough to stare these past few months", he smirked.

"I wasn't staring!..I was curious", she mumbled.

He extended his arm, lending his hand to her as he said, "Changbin".

"(Y/n)", she answered back while shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you..so?", he asked.

Normally she doesn't go out unless it's for food or to look for a job. She's sure she doesn't even know how to talk to people.

"I don't know. I'm very busy", she said.

"Really?", he asked, raising his eyebrow while crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yeah", she said.

"Doing what?", he asked.

"...this?", she lifted up the window cleaner.

He chuckled and shook his head.

"So you clean 24/7?", a smile appeared on his face, causing her to look away.

"..no. But I'm-"

"Making excuses. What? Am I too repulsive to be around?", he asked.

"No", she pointed.

"Great. Then there's no problem here", he said.

"The most amazing and handsome person in the world is here!"

Another guy came in with his arms extended as if he was god. When he saw her, he fixed himself and looked at Changbin.

"Felix, this is (y/n). She's gonna be coming with me to the festival tomorrow", Changbin said.

"Oh, you're the girl who has a problem with staring, right?", Felix asked.

"I don't stare!"

~~~~~
The next day, (y/n) went to the dance studio and began doing what she always does which is clean the whole room. A few minutes before she almost finished, she wanted to practice a bit before anyone came in. She took out her laptop and played some music that she had saved up.
(Y/n) has been dancing since she was five but stopped when her father passed away. She had recently got back to dancing. A bit rusty but that's why there's practice.
She stretched first before thinking about which choreography to do. It's been a while since she's done the hardcore hip hop choreography that she came up with when she tried out for her middle school. They made her captain and won a few trophies.
It started off a bit uncontrolled but as she got used to it, she kept up with the pace. She hadn't felt this good in a really long time and when she finished, she heard slow clapping coming from behind her. Being startled, she quickly turned and realized she was being watched by the same guy who bothered her yesterday.
"Nice moves", Minho said, walking towards her.
She ignored him and continued cleaning. He leaned against the mirrors that she just finished cleaning and put his hands in his pockets.
"Didn't know someone like you could dance like that", he said.
"Someone like me? Am I supposed to be offended?", she scoffed.
"Depends on you. Anyways, my father owns a restaurant nearby here. You should go with me after you're done here", he said.
"Why should I? After the way you treated me yesterday? No thanks", she said.
Grabbing all the cleaning supplies, she walked passed him but was pulled by the wrist, dropping everything on the floor.
"Come on, girls like you are always begging and whining to go out with guys like me. Besides, I don't take no for an answer", he threatened her while tightening his grip.
"You're hurting me. Let go", she said, trying to pull herself away.
"Not until you agree to go out with me", he said.
"I'm not going out with you. I'm not into assholes", she muttered.
He roughly pulled her closer, clenching his jaw as he got angry.
Then another hand grabbed the same wrist, except more gentle. She followed up and met eyes with Changbin.
"Let her go", he said to Minho.
He did and scoffed, calling her a name before leaving.
"Now you have no choice but to go with me to the festival", he said.
As he turned towards her, his smile disappeared as he noticed she was shaking. More concerned now, he let go of her wrist and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Hey,it's fine now. He's gone", he softly smiled.
She shook her head and began picking up the cleaning supplies again. He kneeled down and helped her.
"I can do it myself. I don't need you", she muttered before taking the dirty rags from his hands.
"I know you can do it yourself. I just wanna help", he said.
"Don't need it", she said, pushing passed him.
He followed her a few feet behind, making sure no one bothered her. She placed the things inside the closet and turned only to bump into Changbin.
"You can go now", she said.
"I leave when I want to. Need a ride home?", he asked.
"No", she answered.
She opened the door and realized it began raining. She didn't bring a sweater or an umbrella and there's nothing to stand under while waiting for the bus.Changbin glanced outside and smirked, leaning against the door.
"I take that you'd rather swim than stay dry?", he asked.
Rolling her eyes, she turned around and said if he tries something, she won't hesitate to kick him.
She was about to walk out into the rain but Changbin pulled her closer to him, pulling his jacket over both of them. The close proximity between them made her blush but he couldn't tell since they were running towards his car. When they entered, they breathed heavily and shook off the water that had dropped onto their hair.
"Looks like the rain isn't gonna stop anytime soon. The festival is probably cancelled so you got lucky. But you still owe me", he said.
"Whatever. Just take me home", she said.
He tilted his head to see her face. She was blushing which surprised him. Softly smiling, he started the engine and began driving.
He pulled up into the parking lot and was confused.
"But this is a hotel. You said I'm supposed to take you home", he said.
She unbuckled her seatbelt and grabbed her purse before saying, "you did".
After thanking him, she closed the door of the car and ran over to her room which was a few feet away. She stopped as soon as she saw her things outside. Eyebrows lifted up in confusion, she tried opening the door but it was locked and it wouldn't work with the room key. Then she remembered that she forgot to pay for this week. She groaned.
"Everything okay?"
She jumped as she was startled by Changbin.
"I thought you left", she said.
"No I was waiting until you went inside. Is this your stuff?, he asked.
"Yeah. I didn't get to pay the guy for the week and I don't have any money. I don't have anywhere to stay. Unless I can ask the owner of the dance studio if I can stay there for a few days until I get a job. Jeez, so much for moving", she muttered to herself as she softly kicked a pebble.
Changbin looked at her for a few seconds before grabbing her things.
"Let's go", he said.
"Hey...where are you taking my stuff??", she asked, standing in front of him.
"To my place. You're gonna stay with me until you can get back on your feet. Now get in the car", he said.
"No. I can't possibly stay with you. I mean, you're a guy and I'm a girl. See, whenever a guy and a girl become roommates, there's always a chance that they-", she stopped talking as Changbin stepped closer, putting his arms on each side to trap her.
"That they what?", he asked, tilting his head.
She stuttered, blushing intensely while looking away. He smiled and stepped back.
"I think I might like you", he chuckled as he kept walking with her things.
When they arrived at his place, she roamed around. The loft isn't that big and there's only one room which doesn't have any walls to make it private, just a plain divider.
"Sorry. It's not much. But you can take the bed and I can sleep on the couch", he said.
"You don't have to do that. I can take the couch. I don't mind", she said.
"Okay", he said, putting her things on the ground.
"Wait....you're just gonna let me sleep on the couch?", she asked.
He smirked and sat on the bed.
"I offered the bed and you said no...unless the answer you're looking for is one plus one equals two?", he raised an eyebrow, showing off a sly grin.
"..pervert. I didn't mean that", she mumbled with a frown, although her cheeks turned red again.
He chuckled. She grabbed her bags and placed them near the couch, sighing after.
"What?", he asked.
"No ones hiring. I can't find a job anywhere", she said.
"I'm sure there's some place that is willing to hire you. How about the dance studio? I know the owner really well. He's Felix's grandfather. I can talk to him", he leaned forward and rested his hands on his knees.
"I already did. He said he's not looking for people. But I don't get why since I volunteer there. I'd do the same thing but I can get paid. I don't care how much", she said.
"Well then why don't you work for me? Felix and I are gonna start our own company. It'll take a while but we just need to hear back from the people we sent our profile to and we can get started from there. You don't have to worry", he said.
"Then how am I gonna pay you back for letting me stay here? And how am I gonna get my own place? What if it takes years? I can't stay here for that long", she said.
He stood up from the bed and kneeled down in front of her, gently holding her hands.
"You can stay here for as long as you like. Just as long as you don't leave your girl things lying around", he said.
"You mean my br-", he covered her mouth and smirked.
"Yes those and your other stuff. You should probably go change into something warmer. Don't want you getting sick. I'll make some hot chocolate", he said, making his way towards the kitchen.
The duffle bag that contains her clothes was a bit soaked but luckily it was just the outside. She looked everywhere in each bag but half of her clothes were missing.
"Oh great, I have no money and no clothes", she huffed out.
She glanced over the couch and watched Changbin's back. He was still making the hot chocolate so he doesn't know her other situation that just popped up.
"Um..Changbin?", she called out while standing on her knees on the couch.
"Hm?", he glanced over his shoulder which brings out his muscles.
She couldn't help but stare. Her mouth gaped open as she wished she could trace every crevice on his upper body.
Changbin wondered why it was taking her so long to answer and as he turned around, he softly smirked.
"(Y/n), you're drooling", he threw one of the oven mits at her.
She shook her head and sat down correctly on the couch, hoping he doesn't bring it up.
"Do you have any extra pjs I could wear? Mine aren't in here", she asked.
He let the chocolate to melt and headed straight towards his closet. He grabbed one of his sweats and a shirt that might fit her big but otherwise gave it to her. She looked at the clothes for a few seconds.
"What? Need underwear as well?", he raised an eyebrow.
She blushed and shook her head frantically before heading to the bathroom.
"Ayyyy, brought donuts", Felix opened the door to Changbin's place, startling him.
"Felix, what are you doing here??", Changbin asked, nervously chuckling.
"Well I thought since they cancelled the festival, I'd come here and we'll play a few games of-...oh", after Felix placed the box of donuts on the counter, he turned and met eyes with (y/n) who was coming out of the bathroom.
"Ohhhh I see what's going on. Maybe I should leave", Felix said as he pointed at the door.
"Nothing's going on. She's staying here because she has nowhere else to go", Changbin said.
"So you two aren't...you know", Felix asked, glancing at the two of them.
"That's gross", she said, scrunching up her nose.
"There's your answer", Changbin said to Felix.
Felix smirked and sat down on the couch, taking a bite from a donut.
"What about me?", Felix asked.
"Okay if she says I'm gross, what do you think that makes you?", Changbin asked him.
"Slightly less gross. But come on, who can resist me?", Felix asked.
(Y/n) looked at both of them and slowly raised her hand.
"Ouch. That hurts", Felix said, hand on his chest.
"Are you gonna stay?", Changbin asked.
"Well thanks, I'd love to! I'm gonna need something to sleep in. Didn't bring anything other than my car keys. Oh! And I need a charger as well for my phone", Felix said as he took out his phone from his pocket, placing it on the coffee table.
"I meant if you're staying here for a bit, not the whole night. There's hardly any room", Changbin said.
"If you need space, I can crash somewhere else", she said.
"Like where? An outdoor bench? No way. Besides it's still raining. Felix on the other hand has a car and a place", Changbin said.
"That's just rude...but then again maybe you two wanna be alone to-"
"Finish that sentence and I will drag you out of here by the hair", Changbin said with his arms crossed over his chest.
"I'm just saying. A guy and a girl becoming roommates. It's not possible to not think about kissing each other", Felix smirked while wiggling his eyebrows.
Changbin and (y/n) looked at him with weird expressions.
"Did he get hit on the head or something?", she asked Changbin.
"Yes. Plenty of times", he answered.
Felix rolled his eyes and grabbed his phone and keys.
"You're welcome for the donuts", Felix said before slamming the door closed.
"Shouldn't we go apologize or something?", she asked.
"No. He gets like this sometimes. He'll come back sooner or later and forget about it. Anyways, drink some hot chocolate and eat some donuts. Imma hit the shower", he said.
(Y/n) rested her head against the armrest of the couch, staring up at the ceiling. What was so lucky is that there was a skylight and she can see the stars above her. There was another skylight above Changbin's bed. Maybe that relaxes him before going to sleep.
While she was busy staring up at the skylight, Changbin exited the bathroom, wearing grey sweatpants and no shirt.
(Y/n)'s eyes widened and blushed intensely, covering her eyes.
"Aren't you cold?? Put on a damn shirt!", she yelled.
He rolled his eyes and put on his black sweater.
"Is it safe?", she asked.
"It's safe", he chuckled, sitting on the bed.
She uncovered her eyes and looked at him while he did the same.
"What?", he asked.
"Nothing...it's just..you have a scar on your chest", she said.
"Oh.. yeah. It was a long time ago. Heart problem", he said.
"Really? What a coincidence. I have the same scar. Same problem. I was thirteen", she said.
"I was ten", he said.
"Wow, so young. Were you scared?", she asked.
"A bit", he answered.
She noticed he looked uncomfortable talking about it so she continued looking up at the stars.
"I love your place. It's small but roomy. Better than a hotel room. Though the food was really good", she said.
He watched her quietly as her eyes began to close. From the way her head was angled because of the armrest, she's bound to get a sore neck in the morning so he waited until she was fully asleep and carefully carried her to the bed, covering her with lots of warm blankets. He didn't even leave one for himself.
His fingers traced along the features of her face, softly pushing a hair strand behind her ear. She mumbled and dug her face into the pillow, sighing before lightly snoring. He smiled and stood up to grab his laptop, sitting on the couch after.
(Y/n) woke up in the middle of the night, hearing music being played, like a piano. She sat up from the bed and leaned over to look behind the divider. Changbin was using his laptop.
"Hey, what are you doing up?", she asked, sitting on the same couch but across from him.
"I couldn't sleep. Decided to work on some music", he answered.
"You play piano?", she asked.
"Yeah. I actually composed this years ago but it's very different from what I usually do", he said.
"It's beautiful. Can I hear more?", she asked.
Changbin scooted over and plugged in the earphones, handing her one side. They listened to his music, her smiling as she leaned her head against his shoulder. The soft instrumental was putting her to sleep but she didn't want to. She wanted to keep enjoying listening to his music. She didn't realize he's this talented.
Changbin didn't really like sharing this type of music to anyone, other than Felix, because the last time he shared his music, he got made fun of. And by the person he used to really really like so he's always cautious. But then seeing (y/n) smile while she's listening didn't make him anxious or nervous. And they just met.
She fell asleep three songs in. Changbin carefully removed the earphones and placed the laptop on the coffee table. He was gonna carry her back onto the bed but she had wrapped one of her arms around him, snuggling closer to him. He just let it happen.
A few weeks pass since Changbin let (y/n) stay with him at his place. They've gotten closer, as if they've known each other for years. Felix still teases them and secretly ships them.
It is the day before Christmas, (y/n)'s favorite holiday. She always loves decorating with a bunch of Christmas stuff, which is what she did to Changbin's loft. Though he doesn't know because he's away on a business trip with Felix.
At the moment, (y/n) is putting ornaments on the Christmas tree while wearing a reindeer onesie. There were two presents under the tree, which (y/n) made for Changbin. If only she had enough money to buy him an actual present.
"Does this look good?", she asked Changbin's Chameleon, Benny.
He got it a week ago when he found out he was going away for a few days so she wouldn't be lonely. She got attached to it and even decorated his habitat.
She placed the stockings hanging on top of the chimney and put tiny chocolates and candy canes in each. Her fuzzy socks and beanie that Changbin let her borrow kept her warm, along with the fire coming from the chimney. She's definitely in the Christmas mood.
Baking chocolate chip cookies and drinking hot cocoa with whipped cream and chocolate shavings is traditional for her. Has been for the past few years.
She was walking towards the kitchen when the door opened, revealing a very tired Changbin. As he saw the place, his eyes widened and looked over at her.
"Changbin? I thought you weren't coming back until after New Years?", she said, helping him with his bags.
"Trip ended early. So what is up with this?", he chuckled at the outfit she's wearing.
"It's Christmas tomorrow. Here, you can wear this", she went over to the dresser and took out reindeer antlers, putting it on his head.
"You're missing the red nose. I lost it. And I baked some cookies. We can eat them while we sit in front of the fire and watch Christmas movies on Netflix. Come on", she's too excited.
She grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards the other side of the loft. He grabbed his laptop after putting a blanket and a few pillows down in front of the fire. As she grabbed the cookies, Changbin looked over at the tree and noticed presents.
"Oh my gosh they smell so good", she exhaled and placed the cookies on a plate before going where Changbin is at.
She handed him a cup of the hot cocoa and waited for him to put on a movie.
"Oooooo put the grinch! I love that movie", she smiled and clapped her hands excitedly.
She could feel he wasn't himself by the way he's not really talking as much.
"What's wrong?", she asked.
"Nothing. I'm just tired. I can't believe you turned my place into looking like the North Pole. Which reindeer are you supposed to be?", he chuckled.
"The one who bullies Rudolph", she answered as she pointed at him.
He shooed her finger away and stuck out his tongue.
They were half way through the movie. (Y/n) was enjoying it but Changbin seemed lost. He kept looking down at his cup of cocoa and his eyes would roam around, he wasn't smiling at all. So she paused the movie and turned towards him.
"Okay, what's going on? I could tell something's bothering you", she asked, very concerned.
"Nothing-"
"Lies. Did something happen? You can tell me. I know I can be stubborn and rude but I won't make fun of you if it's something serious. I wanna help", she said.
He knew he can trust her but the reason why he doesn't wanna tell her is because he doesn't want her to become upset or sad. But he also knows that she won't stop asking.
"The profile for our music got rejected. Apparently it's not what they're looking for. They said it's like listening to something they already heard before. We worked on that music for months. All that for nothing", he said.
"I'm sorry Changbin. To be honest, they have no idea what they're talking about. You and Felix are very talented and I really love your music. Is that why you came back early?", she asked.
"Yeah. I don't get what the whole point was of us going on that trip if they had our music for a few weeks and five days after already being invested in it they tell us it's not good enough. I'm kinda not surprised though. I think I rushed it and that's probably why it didn't come out good. Maybe I need to practice more", he mumbled to himself.
(Y/n) frowned and glanced over at the Christmas tree. She grabbed one of the presents and handed it to him.
"It's not a lot but I wanted to give you something", she gave him the present which is a very small box.
He opened it, revealing a small bracelet.
"I made this before I had my surgery. I made it for good luck. And now with your music, I want to give it to you. I mean, you don't need luck because you're already amazing. Ooo what if you send them the music from your laptop? I bet that can really change things. They'll love it, I known they will. But you only have like ten of them saved. How many do you need to make a whole profile?", she asked.
"I'm not doing that. I don't show anyone. I showed you because I trust you. That stays private", he said.
"But maybe adding other genres to your profile will be acceptable to them. Or just find someone else who will accept your original profile if you're not ready to share your other music. Just don't put yourself down just because of, what, two or three people say that it's not good enough. There are millions of people in this planet that are willing to sign you up. Why just settle for one group? If I were them, I'd sign you up right away", she said.
Changbin didn't say anything. Mostly because he wasn't expecting her to say anything like that so he was kinda speechless.
"Did I overstep?", she asked.
He smiled and shook his head.
"Thanks for the present. I'll keep it on at all times", he put the bracelet on his wrist.
"You don't have to-"
"I have a present for you too", he went over to his duffel bag and took out a box wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper.
He smiled as he handed it over to her. It wasn't wrapped the way she wrapped hers but it's the thought that counts. After opening it, she raised her eyebrows and took out a small music box with a ballerina in it.
"I remember you told me you used to do ballet years ago. I would've gotten one with a ballerina who does hip hop dancing but unfortunately there were none. When I saw this, I thought of you and couldn't find anything else that fit you perfectly", he said.
She turned the little handle and watched the ballerina slowly spin. The soft melody coming from the music box complimented the little dancer with a blue tutu.
"I love it. Thanks Changbin", she put it aside and wrapped her arms around him to give him a hug.
It lasted for a few seconds but as she pulled away, he looked at the hoodie with antlers she had on.
"We're matching. Don't couples do that?", he smirked.
"We're not matching. I'm wearing a onesie. You're the one out of place because all you have on is antlers. Even Benny is all decorated and fancy", she said, scooting back to her spot.
"Because he has no choice. If he could talk, he'd probably say 'help me' or something like that. Or maybe he'd say 'when she's asleep, put a pillow on her face and smother her", he said.
"Benny wouldn't say that. You are dramatic", she laughed.
(Y/n) went over to get more hot cocoa while Changbin entered the bathroom while carrying something. As she sprinkled chocolate shavings, Changbin stepped out wearing an elf onesie. She bursted out laughing and even more as he played Christmas music and started dancing.
"Come on, I can't be the only one making a fool out of myself. Come here and dance with me", he pulled her away from the kitchen and danced along the music.
He spun her and pulled her closer, placing his hand on her lower back while holding the other.
"You know, this is an upbeat song. Why are we slow dancing?", she asked.
He shrugged his shoulders and smiled. Pulling her a bit closer, he stared into her eyes and brushed his thumb over her hand.
"You're lucky there isn't a mistletoe nearby", he said.
"Mistletoe?..why?", she asked.
"I won't answer that because I know you're not that clueless to know what a mistletoe is for...unless you want me to show you?", he raised an eyebrow, smirking.
"That's just weird. An elf and a reindeer kissing? Very inappropriate and maybe illegal?", she said.
"All jokes aside. I really wanna kiss you", he said.
She chuckled awkwardly and looked down, blushing.
"I guess Felix was right about us becoming roommates", she said.
"He's usually right about everything, even if it sounds silly and ridiculous. I don't think this is ridiculous at all", he smiled.
His hand that was on her lower back pulled her closer, faces an inch away. Her eyes stayed on his cheeks, too nervous to look into his eyes. She never thought Changbin, who she's been crushing on for months, would like her back. He looked down at her lips and softly bit down on his.
He wants to kiss her. That's all he's thinking about. So he mustered the courage to cup her cheeks and pulled her close to connect their lips together. Her hands landed on his chest as she tip toed. She smiled through the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"So you're together now?", Felix asked, looking at their intertwined hands.
Changbin and (y/n) were sitting in front of Felix after he brought few presents for the both of them. He was quite shocked but not really surprised when Changbin told him that they were now in a relationship. Felix's smile was so wide, it looked like he was planning something that he will enjoy.
"Wait, so I was right all along! You guys really need to listen to me next time. Jeez, imagine if I said she's gonna turn out pregnant in a few months??? That will be crazy. I'm like a genie", he said.
"Genies grant wishes. They don't tell the future", she laughed.
"Shush. I'm amazing. You can't say anything to oppose that. Now, when is the wedding?", Felix asked casually, intertwining his fingers together.
"Wedding?!", (y/n) looked over at Changbin.
"There's no wedding. Not anytime soon anyways", he answered.
"So there will be a wedding??", she asked.
"Not unless you don't want one", Changbin's chuckled awkwardly while Felix just watched with a blank face.
"Do you want one?", she asked.
"Not now. Maybe in the future?", Changbin's voice squeaked as he shrugged his shoulders.
"So there's a 50/50 chance of a wedding. That means you might or might not propose-"
"Maybe I shouldn't have said anything", Felix rubbed the back of his neck while his ears turned red.
"Guys I'm kidding. Obviously. Why the hell would I wanna get married?", (y/n) laughed, nudging Changbin.
"You don't wanna get married?", Changbin asked more seriously.
"Dude, we just started going out", she said.
"Did you just call him dude?", Felix giggled.
"I'm kidding too. Obviously marriage is not on the table at the moment. We'll see how it goes", Changbin smiled softly before looking back at Felix.
(Y/n) did the same and her face changed once she saw Felix who had his hands on his chest and was in awe.
"Y'all are making my heart hurt. Anyways, are you gonna open your presents or am I gonna have to send them back?", he asked, clapping his hands excitedly.
Changbin and (y/n) turned to stare at the pile of presents. She went first and grabbed the one with gingerbread cookies wrapping paper. When she opened, Felix waited until she saw the shoes that she always wanted. She gasped and hugged the shoes, thanking Felix. Changbin slightly pouted and looked back at the music box he got for her which was near the bed.
"And I know you needed some coats since your last one ripped so I bought a few", Felix said.
"Woow, these are designer coats! You must have spent so much on these", she said as she eyed the coats.
"How did you afford all this?", Changbin asked.
"I sold a few of my stuff that I don't really use. I wanted to buy you guys a few things. I don't mind", Felix said.
"But I didn't get you anything. I promise I'll buy you something once I have money", she said.
"No need. Anyways, I have to get going. I'll see you guys for the New Years party", Felix waves and left.
"Can you believe he bought these? And these coats are really warm. I can't wait to wear them out one day", she sighed happily.
Changbin has already opened his presents while (y/n) was trying out the coats. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled happily.
"You seem to like your presents", Changbin said.
"I do. I never owned coats like these before. And have you seen the shoes?! I've been dying to own a pair. How do I look?", she asked as she looked back at him.
He stared at her for a few seconds before looking away.
"It's nice", he said.
She tilted her head and took off the coat before heading towards him.
"What did you get?", she asked, sitting next to him.
"Socks, a watch, a new sweater, new shoes, and some AirPods which is a third pair", he answered.
"That's so nice of him. Maybe we can do something for him in return. I can make dinner and invite him and that girl he's been seeing...they're still going out on dates, right?", she asked.
"Sure", he said.
She nodded and rested her chin on his shoulder, slightly tilting her head to look at him.
"You know which is my favorite present? The music box. Not just because it's very meaningful to me. But also because it was given to me by my favorite person", she said.
"You're just saying that to make me feel better", he said, corner of his lips rising.
"Why would I need to do that? Are you not happy with what you got me?", she asked.
He shrugged his shoulders and turned to face her.
"Designer coats and shoes you always wanted? I could've gotten that for you if I had the money. I just go you one crappy gift", he said.
"Hey, it's not crappy. Sure what Felix got for me is nice but that music box brought back a lot of amazing memories. It's something I would never ever give or throw away. I'm gonna treasure it forever and when I have a daughter I'll pass it down to her and explain how that music box is really important to me", she said.
He chuckled and softly smirked.
"First marriage and now kids? I like the way you think", he said.
"I'm not having kids any time soon if that's what you think I'm thinking", she said.
"I didn't mean that. You already have goals for the future. Marriage and kids, even if it's not with me, I'm glad you're thinking like that. I know it's been a bit rough for you these past few days, and for me as well. But hey, we're gonna be able to get that dance studio for you, just like you've been planning. We'll talk to Felix's grandfather to see if he can pass down the studio to you since he'll be retiring soon and Felix won't want to do it because of the music business. I'm positive it's gonna turn out well", he smiled and held her hand.
"For you too. I can already see your music being extended in different places and countries. And I'm gonna be jamming out to it in the dance studio, maybe I can choreograph for some of the tracks. With your permission of course. I wanna teach kids though. They're so cute", she smiled.
"I can see that happening."
~~Three Years Later~~
"Come on, you guys are doing great", (y/n) said as she was coaching six year olds to dance for a recital coming up.
She stood aside and watched carefully as all ten of them were practicing. Then a pair of hands wrapped around her waist.
"Hey, hows it going?", Changbin asked, kissing her cheek.
"Practicing. They're getting better. And how'd it go with Felix? I heard there was a deal on the table", she asked.
"Well he's gonna be gone for a few weeks so I'm gonna be taking over and I'll send some files so he'll go over them and give his opinion. And then when we go off on our honeymoon, he'll be in charge and do the same thing", he said.
"I can't believe he's gonna be a father in a few weeks. I remember him telling us we'd end up pregnant but there he goes", she said.
"He was right about me proposing though. Soon you'll be Mrs. (y/n) Seo. Wife of Changbin Seo, the CEO of SL Music. We're gonna have a big wedding just like you wanted. And for our honeymoon-", she covered his mouth.
"I want it to be a surprise. It doesn't matter where we go though. We can go to a lame motel and I wouldn't care", she said.
"A motel you say", he smirked, pulling her closer.
"Okay Yoda, right now isn't the time to make those type of jokes. There are children present", she said, softly nudging him away.
He laughed and stepped away, sitting on one of the benches as she continued to help the children with the choreography.
When they finished, Changbin held (y/n)'s hand and walked out of the building, heading towards their house which they bought not too long ago. (Y/n) immediately headed towards their bedroom which was on the second floor and sighed as she laid back.
"My back is killing me. Did you eat yet? I can make dinner", she said.
"Nope. You stay there and rest. I'll make dinner. You've been working too hard", he said, massaging her feet.
"Um..you sure? I don't mind making dinner", she laughed awkwardly.
"I know I don't cook the best food in the world-"
"It's not that. It's your birthday. I want to make a special dinner for you", she sat up.
"You already cooked breakfast, gave me a bunch of balloons, a shirt with your face on it, three pairs of shoes, sent some coffee to my office, and a girlfriend for Benny. You're tired and I want to make dinner for you. Don't argue with me on this. You can make it up with some birthday cuddles", he softly smiled before patting her knee, standing up to go to the kitchen.
He stepped downstairs and began taking out pots and pans. He was so busy thinking about what he's gonna make that he didn't realize who was standing behind him. Changbin was hit behind the head, knocking him down onto the floor. His vision blurred and felt dizzy. The person above him was in all black and even wore a black mask. Changbin couldn't see who it was.
"You're better off dead."
Changbin recognized that voice. The person took off his mask and smirked evilly as he stood before him.
"Changbin, what's going on? I heard-", (y/n) stopped going downstairs as he could see Changbin on the floor, bleeding from his head.
"Felix?", she eyed the knife that was in his hands and softly gasped, taking a step back.
Felix immediately went after her, (y/n) running back upstairs but he was faster than her. He held her neck with his left hand and held the knife close with the other.
"Felix...please...what do you want?", she asked, hoping he didn't kill her.
He smirked and moved the knife close to her cheek, lightly gliding it down, blood dripping and staining the floor. She closed her eyes shut, feeling a slight pain.
"I don't get how you two got everything when you had nothing. My family has been rich, I worked hard and they make him CEO?...Now, the plan was just to kill him and take his earnings but you've seen everything. Can't have you going around and telling people my little secret", he said.
"I won't tell anyone, I promise. Just don't kill me", tears rolled down her face as she cried.
She felt cold. It's as if she knew she wasn't going to make it out alive. That's until Felix was hit behind the head and pushed off of her. Changbin pulled her away and told her to go into the bedroom and lock it. She didn't want to leave him alone. He pushed her in the bedroom and locked it, turning around to face Felix who was still on the ground. He already called the police and are on their way. Changbin made sure he didn't have any weapons on him and if Felix tries something, he'd just push him down.
The police arrived minutes later and arrested Felix. Changbin and (y/n) had to be taken to the hospital where the doctors will treat their injuries and be asked questions by the detectives. As soon as they were clear, they had to check into a hotel until their home was cleared.
"Brings back many memories", (y/n) said as she walked into the room.
"It can't be that bad", Changbin said.
He placed their things down and comforted her.
"Hey, we're together and we're okay. That's all that matters. Get some rest. Soon enough we'll be married and living in a mansion with our two kids", he softly smiled before kissing her forehead.
(Y/n) stared out the window of the plane and was in awe at the beautiful view. Changbin intertwined their hands together and glanced at the wedding ring on her finger.
"Can you believe a place can look like this?? We're gonna have so much fun here! First we'll take pictures, a lot of pictures. And we'll have lunch by the beach. Oh! And I heard there's this temple where tourists go. Ugh there's so much to do", (y/n) sighed and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Sure. Anything you want. You are Mrs. (y/n) Seo now. And maybe we can get started on our family-"
(Y/n) elbowed his stomach, cheeks turning red, and looked away. Changbin laughed and kissed her cheek repeatedly before sitting back, imagining their new lives together.
