Changlix, Minsung, and Hyunsung: Problem Child
Changbin put away the last dried utensil in the drawer and trudged over to his armchair in the living room, sitting down and letting out a tired sigh.
He looked up at the clock in the corner of the room while his eyelids drooped sleepily.
Just as he was drifting off, Jeongin walked in through the front door toting an armload of books, making Changbin jump.
Jeongin looked over at him and waved.
"Hey Changbin hyung."
Changbin hummed and leaned back, stretching against the armchair.
"Where's Jisung? I thought he was driving you home?"
Jeongin scoffed and sat down on the couch, placing his books down and taking off his backpack.
"He said he was going to hang out with Hyunjin. I had to walk all the way home."
Changbin groaned and shook his head in disbelief.
"That kid, I seriously don't know what to do with him these days." He grumbled, standing up and pulling on his leather jacket. "Come with me Jeongin, we're going to drive over to Hyunjin's house and get him."
Jeongin grinned and nodded, following Changbin to the car and looking out the window excitedly as they drove over to Hyunjin's.
Upon arriving, Changbin stopped the car on the curb and looked over at Jeongin.
"Could you go inside and get Jisung please? Tell him I need him to come home right now."
Jeongin nodded and got out of the car, heading over to the front door and knocking.
Hyunjin's mother opened the door and when she saw Jeongin, she smiled.
"Why hello Jeongin! Are you here to get Jisung?"
Jeongin grinned at her and nodded.
"Yes I am! Is it alright if I go in and get him myself?"
She nodded her head and opened the door for him. "You go right on ahead, you little angel!"
Jeongin grinned at her and walked over to Hyunjin's room, knocking softly on the door before walking in.
Jisung lay on the bed, smoking a cigarette while Hyunjin straddled him.
When he caught sight of Jeongin he rolled his eyes and slung an arm around Hyunjin's back.
"What do you want Jeongin?"
Hyunjin looked over his shoulder at Jeongin and smiled.
"Hi Innie!" He beamed, the hickies on his neck very apparent.
Jeongin waved shyly at Hyunjin and then looked over at Jisung.
"Changbin hyung says you need to get back home as soon as possible."
Jisung chuckled and brought the cigarette to his lips briefly, letting out a cloud of smoke.
"Hey, you know what? Tell him I'll be there at go f*ck yourself o'clock."
Jeongin shrugged nonchalantly, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Do you really want me to tell him that?"
Jisung nodded and waved Jeongin away, continuing to kiss and suck on Hyunjin's neck fiercely.
Jeongin sighed and walked out of Hyunjin's room and back to the car where Changbin sat waiting for him.
When he got in the car Changbin looked at him expectantly.
"What did he say?"
Jeongin scratched the back of his neck and squirmed uncomfortably.
"He said he'd be at home at go f*ck yourself o'clock."
Changbin shook his head and unbuckled his seatbelt, getting out of the car and slamming the door behind him.
He marched directly into Hyunjin's house and right into his room.
Hyunjin looked over at him fearfully.
"H-hello Changbin hyung."
Changbin ignored him and glared at Jisung.
"Get up right now Jisung. I'm not kidding."
Jisung rolled his eyes and stretched casually.
"Alright old man, just give me a minute." He murmured, gently pushing Hyunjin off and reluctantly walking over to Changbin.
Changbin grabbed the collar of his jacket and dragged him out of the house.
Jisung struggled against his grip, only managing to get free when he smacked Changbin's hand off.
"Calm down Changbin! Geez! You're going to ruin my jacket!"
Changbin whirled around to face Jisung, his glare deadly enough to murder someone.
"I'm very disappointed in you Jisung! Why can't you just do what I tell you?! What's so hard about that?!" He yelled, his angry veins popping out in his neck.
Jisung glared back at Changbin and crossed his arms over his chest defiantly.
"Well maybe I want to do what I want for a change! You want me home all the time! I just want to live my life! I don't want to end up like you!" He yelled back, ignoring the stares of people walking by.
Changbin took a deep breath to try and calm down, running his fingers through his hair in annoyance.
"I'm not arguing with you here Jisung. Just get on your motorcycle and come home with me and Jeongin, alright?"
Jisung scoffed and fixed his jacket, glaring coldly at Changbin.
"Whatever." He muttered before brushing past Changbin on the way to his motorcycle.
Changbin bit his lip and walked back over to the car, getting inside and driving back home with Jisung and Jeongin in tow.
When they got home, Jisung parked his motorcycle in the driveway and stomped over to the house.
He waited for Changbin to park the car and then when Changbin and Jeongin walked over to him and unlocked the door, Jisung stalked over to his bedroom and slammed the door shut.
Jeongin looked over at Changbin, who looked as if he was going to collapse from exhaustion at any moment.
"Is there anything I can do to help you Changbin hyung?" He asked sweetly, pushing up his wire rimmed glasses.
Changbin sighed and ruffled Jeongin's hair affectionately.
"No it's alright Jeongin. Just focus on getting your homework done. Alright?"
Jeongin smiled and grabbed his books and backpack off the couch.
"Okay! Just make sure you take care of yourself too!" He beamed before walking off to his own room.
Changbin grinned and began to prepare for his nightshift at the local diner, putting on his issued uniform and riding over to the diner on Jisung's motorcycle.
In the morning, Changbin rode back home with a bag of food for Jeongin and Jisung. He parked the motorcycle in the driveway and entered the house as quietly as possible, taking off his uniform and hanging it up in the closet next to his other two uniforms.
Then Changbin walked over to the kitchen, placing the food on the table and plopping down in one of the wooden chairs.
Changbin slept for a couple of hours at the table before being woken up by Jisung and Jeongin taking some food from the bag.
Changbin yawned and stretched, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"What time is it?"
Jeongin looked over at the clock, munching on a waffle. "It's ten forty four."
Changbin groaned and stood up, grabbing two pancakes from the bag and eating them as quickly as possible.
Jisung watched his movements while eating some of the waffles.
"Hey Changbin hyung, can my friend come over since it's the weekend?" He asked before shoving the rest of the waffle into his mouth.
Changbin swallowed the bits of pancake and wiped his mouth with a napkin.
"Sure Jisung, just don't do anything irresponsible while I'm at work!" He warned, going over to the closet and grabbing his mechanic outfit.
Jisung grinned innocently, giving Changbin a salute.
"Can do chief! Have fun at work!' He called, earning a snort from Changbin as he walked out the door.
Jeongin looked over at Jisung curiously.
"Who's coming over this time?"
Jisung laughed and shrugged playfully. "Just Felix. Why? Did you think it was going to be Minho?"
Jeongin chuckled and nodded.
"Well I hope you have fun. I'm going over Hyunjin's house. Can you tell Changbin for me if he gets home early?"
Jisung nodded as Jeongin grabbed a little string bag filled with snacks and headed out the door.
Three hours later, Changbin returned home from his shift at the auto shop.
Changbin was immediately met with the smell of food when he walked inside and he sighed internally thinking of all the dishes he was going to have to do.
When Changbin walked into the kitchen Jisung chuckled and scurried off to his room, gesturing for Felix to follow him.
Felix shook his head and grabbed the dirty dishes, placing them in the sink and beginning to wash them.
Jisung rolled his eyes and went into his room anyway to wait for him.
Changbin smiled and shuffled over to him, ruffling Felix's hair and taking the dish he was washing from his hands.
"It's alright Felix, I'll wash the dishes. You can go hang out with Jisung."
Felix shook his head and grabbed onto Changbin's arm, looking up at him guiltily.
"No, it wouldn't be fair to let you clean up our mess! Can you let me dry the dishes at least?"
Changbin hummed happily and handed Felix a dish towel.
"Alright, if you insist. Thank you Felix. You're too sweet." Changbin gushed, washing a dish and handing it over to Felix.
Felix smiled and dried the dish.
"It's not a problem. I honestly think that we should try to help you around the house as much as possible. It makes me sad that you have to work so hard." He mumbled, looking for the cupboard where the dish belonged.
Changbin grinned and took the dish from him, opening the cupboard and attempting to put the dish up on the highest shelf.
Changbin ultimately failed though and Felix suppressed a chuckle, gently taking the dish and putting it up on the top shelf for him.
Changbin looked over at Felix and smiled, patting his back endearingly.
"I'm really glad Jisung has a friend like you. He really needs someone to look out for him and keep him out of trouble. You might just be his guardian angel."
Felix blushed and rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"Aww you really think so?"
Changbin nodded and leaned in to whisper, "I know so."
Jisung then walked out of his room and stared at them weirdly.
Changbin sighed and looked over at him, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes Jisung?"
Jisung shoved his hands into his pockets and grinned.
"I just got a call from Minho. Can I go over to his house?"
Changbin looked over at Felix and back to Jisung.
"What about Felix?"
Jisung laughed and waved him off. "Felix doesn't mind. Right?"
Felix shook his head dissapointedly. "I don't mind."
Jisung grinned and turned his back to them, already heading out the door. "Right. See you later Changbin hyung!'
Changbin rolled his eyes and drained the dishwasher, putting the sponge on the counter.
"I'm really sorry about Jisung, Felix. If you want you can head home. I really need to teach him some manners. But that's what happens when you grow up without a mom or dad and only a brother to take care of you."
Felix smiled and looked around the small kitchen.
"I want to stay with you Changbin. I can help you make dinner!" Felix offered, his eyes sparkling youthfully.
Changbin grinned and nodded.
"Of course you can."
