When I started writing this story thirteen months ago, I would have never expected to write more than two chapters, let alone finish the whole story.

It was the very first thing I wrote outside of school, and I only started to mess around with it a bit. I would have never thought that I'd not just enjoy writing, but also dream of becoming a writer at some point.

That's why I'm thankful to every person who read the first chapter on Wattpad a year ago and commented on it, wishing for more. Without those few people, this story would have never exceeded chapter two, three at max.

The support by random people from all over the world was amazing, and their wishes for new chapters really kept me going.

And all of this was only possible thanks to the story "I'll Reach For You" by Alexandra Aarberg, rather known as Dreamondreamer96 on Wattpad. Her writing inspired me to write Stray Cat and made me discover my liking for books.

I'm also very thankful to my friends who proofread the chapters for me and suggested changes when needed. These friends, among others, are my best friend Dominik, who's just an idiot but surely at least somehow helped, one of my best friends Maseeha, who I got to know through writing and was one of the first people to read Stray Cat, and Sophie, who I met online by chance and turned out to not only be an amazing proofreader, but also a great help for questions regarding books and writing. Of course, I also want to thank all my other proofreaders for doing their job perfectly.

Of course, I also want to thank my parents for giving me the opportunities that I had and for supporting me throughout all nineteen years of my life.

My gratitude also goes to the website Wattpad, without which I would have never started writing. I will continue to publish my stories there, both the continuation of this book and my new fantasy story Eondreyla starting soon.
