| Twenty Two |

Hyejoo sat beside Googie on Taehyungs sofa, holding her child’s coat ready in her arms for him to wear. The younger crossing his arms as a sign as defence, so he could stay until the episode finished. “Fine only if Babybun, promises not to disturb mama while she works tonight, so mama can spend all her time with her baby tomorrow.” To which Googie eagerly nodded ready to spend some quality time with his mother.

Yes he would sleep in her embrace in the night, waking up to her kisses, but he wanted to play with her like he usually did. “Hyejoo I’ll just get my coat, so we can go as soon as this finishes.” He got up pointing to the television at whatever Googie was so engrossed in watching.

Hyejoo watched the show with Googie not really understanding why he enjoyed it so much. Googie’s full attention on the small pixels which filled up the screen forming the bright lights he watched with his big orbs. Hyejoo smiled as Googie giggled. A knock was heard followed by the sound of Taehyung asking her to open it to see who it was. Hyejoo placed down Googies coat, opening the door before the visitor could knock again as they seemed to get impatient.

As she opened the door she was surprised to see her boss, still in his work suit looking at her with a similar confused expression. “Oh it seems I got the wrong address, sorry miss Jeon I was looking for my brother. “ he spoke looking down at his phone to double check his address. “Is your brother by any chance-“ and Hyejoo she was cut off by Tae who greeted his brother happily yet still surprised. “Jin! What are you doing here?”

Taehyung led Jin to the living room, Hyejoo following behind the two Mr Kim’s she knew which somehow turned out to be related. “Mama? Who is he taetae?” Googie asked curious at the older man who looked at him with a smile of adoration, as he made his way to sit in his mothers lap.

Jin trying to hide the feeling of surprise at the fact that Hyejoo was a mother.  “This is my boss Googie, greet him.” She told her son who did as told, standing up to bow to the man before sitting in his mothers lap again. Googie wanted to glare at the man since it was his fault she was working till late but he looked too nice to glare at so he just stared. Jin chuckled at his behaviour, a laugh quite different to his brother. “Oh Jin, let me drop Hyejoo and Googie off home. Ill be right back.”

Meanwhile as Googie made his way to his room, Hyejoo sat at her desk realisation hitting her like a truck. If Taehyung was Jins brother that meant Taehyung was the son of the Kim family. One of the big industrial families in the city if not the country. Yet he was there babysitting her child for free when he could be out there doing what other rich men do. She shook her head focussing on her work so she could fulfil her promise to her son.

Meanwhile Jin was curious as to why Hyejoo was at Taehyungs house late at night too. As Taehyung entered his home again he was bombarded with questions about the cute child and miss jeon who were in his apartment. Taehyung explaining how Googies babysitter had fallen ill, so he had stepped up to baby sit Googie while Hyejoo had to work. He didn’t miss telling Jin about how adorable Googie was and how he cherished the moments with the little ball of sunshine.

Jin felt guilty how he had added more to Hyejoo’s plate when she had a five year old son waiting for at her home. So he intended to help her out in some way. When Monday came Hyejoo was called into the office by Jin again. He smiled at her asking how her son was, Hyejoo taken back by his question, gave off a nervous laugh remembering how he had struggled to get on his jumper this morning. “Miss Jeon, I want you to be able to spend time with your son as well as lead this project. I don’t want you working any later than three, unless I tell you to. Be there for your son.” His voice so sweet and crying like his personality making Hyejoo tear up. He handed her a tissue allowing to compose herself before she walked out.

When Taehyung had mentioned how Googie had no father he felt a little more attached to the child, Jin couldn’t help but sympathise for the both. He didn’t know why miss Jeon was raising a five year old at the age of 22 he could assume but he didn’t want to, all he knew it was difficult for them both. Hyejoo trying to be the bread earner as well as the caring mother for her son at the same time. While Googie just wanted his mothers attention not understating how difficult it was to survive in the real world.

•─────⋅🍓⋅─────•

A few weeks had passed since then, and it was as though Taehyung had retired from his babysitting job. Hyejoo being able to pick up her son at three every day, sometimes coming a little later and Googie couldn’t be happier. Googie however did miss spending time with Taehyung like he used to and Hyejoo couldn’t deny the feeling of missing something in her heart  not being able to see Taehyung other then the excuse of dropping off her son or picking him up from school. The moments Googie got to spend with Taehyung were different to what he spent with Jimin and he loved them both equally in different ways as he would often console the short man who would get jealous.

Taehyung on the other hand often found himself looking at the small clear box filled with toys for Googie to play with when he came over. The box would stand out from the rest of the room, which was neat and modern, fitting a theme of white and grey while the box stood in the corner with colour just like Googies personality.  He missed having Googie around, his apartment seemed quieter than usual. He wanted to text Hyejoo to ask if he could spend time with the little one, but he didn’t want to intrude, he knew how much Googie loved spending with his mother. He also didn’t know how Hyejoo would react, before he was a babysitter for her son but now he wasn’t and he didn’t want to scare the mother of the child he adored.

As Taehyung finished vacuuming the apartment, not there was a lot of mess being made now that he was alone once again. He pushed back the black strands which covered his eyes, looking around his apartment to see if he had anything to do; which he didn’t. He lay on the sofa trying to find something to watch on this boring Sunday morning. He sat there having nothing to really to do until he received a message from a person he had wanted to hear from in so long.

‘Hey Googie misses you very much. We are planning to have movie night today, if you would like to join us :D’
