It was Monday again and this time Hyejoo was the one who woke Googie   up or tried to. After having a day with his favourite uncle or the  only uncle he actually knew he was too tired to go to school. He groaned as Hyejoo pulled on her blanket as Googie had slept with her that night. “Go away.” He mumbled before curling up into a ball to avoid the sunlight hitting his face. Hyejoo scooped him up showering his faces with kisses as she carried him to the kitchen where his breakfast was ready. Googie rubbed his eyes as Hyejoo poured him a glass of milk before she went to get ready herself.

Hyejoo held Googie tightly with one hand while in the other she struggled to hold her change as well as the bags of strawberry shortcakes for Mr Kim and some to share with her co-workers. Googie despite being tired took one of the bags off her, making a few girls on the bus aww at how adorable he is. Hyejoo ruffled his hair as he hid his face into her stomach as a few girls tried calling him to take pictures with them.

As they got out the bus Googie began to complain how girls were annoying. “What about me?” she asked her son with a sad face making Googie saying everyone but her and Aunt Minnie. “Well what about Sarang?” Hyejoo snickered and Googie turned around and glared at her, soon after mumbling how she wasn’t that annoying either, pushing his mother slightly before running away.

Hyejoo entered the classroom to see Googie giving Mr Kim the bag. She walked towards them helping Googie take off his coat and bag as Taehyung watched awkwardly not knowing how to thank her. Due to his nervousness he ended up saying it slightly louder catching the attention of seung-woo’s mother who gave her a disgusted look. Hyejoo look flustered due to his random outburst of gratitude and told him it was nothing to worry about before she said her goodbyes unaware of the stares she was receiving.

It was the end of the day and Taehyung had informed Googie that they would be going to buy some groceries.  Taehyung having a habit of shopping after work on a Monday to avoid queues on the weekends. Living alone meant that he only went shopping occasionally and this time it happened to fall on a day where he was to babysit Googie and he was going to use this as a way to spoil him without Hyejoo feeling guilty.

Taehyung got a trolly pushing it down the aisles as Googie held the sides looking around; he had never come to this store before. Taehyung quickly getting what he needed racing with Googie letting the smaller one win. They finally arrived to the snacks aisle where Taehyung planned to get things Googie would like to eat every time he came over. As he told the child he could get whatever he wanted Googie looked at the floor unsure. Taehyung bending down to ask what the matter was. “I don’t want to waste your money Mr Kim.” Taehyung ruffled his hair telling him that it was fine and as a compromise they would only get the snacks they both liked, which was a lie; Taehyung barely ate snacks unless he was having a chill night with a few of his friends.

Taehyung looked around to see the aisle empty, turning to the younger with a smirk who looked back utterly confused. Taehyung quickly picking up Googie and placing him inside the trolly telling him to hold on tight. Googie did as told and soon him and Tae were sliding down the aisle at full speed the sound of Taehyungs laugh echoing the store alerting the staff on their mischief. “Again! Again!” Googie cheered only to have the cart stopped before they could start again by a staff member. That’s how the two children were forced to quickly buy their things and leave. The two snickered as they were escorted out.

“Googie just make sure you don’t tell your mother about this okay.” Taehyung pleaded to which Googie rubbed his chin to decide. “Okay only if you take me there.” He pointed to the park opposite the store which seemed to have a fair going on; to which Taehyung agreed since it was the only way to make Hyejoo think he was still a responsible adult.

After placing his groceries in his car, he walked hand in hand with Googie to the fair. As they walked through the entrance Googie stood in amazement, his mouth opened wide forming an ‘O’. One of the fair workers which happened to be dressed as buzz lightyear handed Googie and Taehyung the tickets. They walked down the path until Googie saw a ride he wanted to go on, the merry go round. Taehyung being the carefree person he was joined Googie on the ride. He sat beside Googie on a separate horse taking pictures and videos of the child who was enjoying himself, to send them to Hyejoo later. A few other children amused by Taehyungs  wishing they were accompanied by him.

This continued for a few other rides, other children coming to join them; until Googie told Taehyung he was hungry. Taehyung taking him to the small food stand at one side of the park which he frequently went to. Buying hot dogs for the both of them, Googie waited on a table at the side his feet not reaching the floor. He swung his feet in excitement it was the first time he was eating out with Mr Kim.

Both ate in silence Taehyung confused as it was unusual for Googie, until he saw him too focussed in eating. Ketchup and mustard on the side of his lips and somehow on his cheeks too which were puffed up due to being stuffed with his food. “Googie calm down the food won’t go anywhere.” He chuckled using a napkin to wipe his face. Googie looking at him with his head tilted; that was what his mother would say. Taehyung noticed Googies gaze of surprise making him look around asking “what?” Googie only telling him how his mother would say the same thing which made Taehyung look down and smile at their similarity.

Taehyung bought Googie a bunny ear headband while he wore tiger ears. Googie who stumbled on his feet a few times due to the fair getting more crowded. Googie huffed in anger, to which Taehyung bit his lip to stifle his laughter. He picked Googie up placing Googie on his shoulders, to which he gasped at the new view due to the height difference.

Googie saw a face painter at the side making him cheer in excitement. He asked to be a bunny of course to complete his ‘look’. The painter chuckled at his enthusiasm painting him some bunny whiskers and using some blush to tint his cheeks. Googie posed for multiple pictures which Taehyung took, until ‘Ironman’ walked by making Googie freeze. Taehyung noticed this and asked if they could take pictures together; Googie being too shy asked Taehyung to join. Taehyung smiled in some while in others he made silly faces which made Googie laugh.

Taehyung texted Hyejoo how  he would drop Googie off home since he was in the neighbourhood. As they were walking to the exit Taehyung noticed the bumping cars asking Googie if he wanted to go, Googie replying how he had never been on them before. The two giggled as they bumped into cars, Googie cheered as they were winning.  Taehyung wanting Googie to have a proper experience taught him how to steer allowing him to do it alone as well.

Taehyung rushed to Googies home after receiving a text from Hyejoo asking where they were. Taehyung assuming, she was angry due to dropping off Googie later than said only to only see her smile as she stood at the front of the apartment. Her smile widening, teeth showing when she saw Googie smiling in his sleep in Taehyungs car as he struggled to carry his things as well as the toys he had won at the fair and a large donut balloon.

Taehyung apologised for having running late telling her how he really wanted Googie to be able to go on the bumping cars. Hyejoo brushed it over giving off a sad smile saying how she was glad he was able to make these memories even if it wasn’t with her. With that she took Googie off him, attempting to take the bags and Taehyung moved his arms saying he would carry them up for her.
