          I sat straight up in the bed under me, panting like I'd never have oxygen again. A hand pushes me down gently and I lay on my back, squinting at the bright lights above me. A voice speaks up next to me and I would say that it was Lawliet's if... well, I know that he's dead. I turn my head to the right to see a very blurry pair of red eyes. "Beyond?" My voice is hoarse and gravelly. His hand shoots out and grabs mine. "(Y/N)?" I turn my head the other way to see... My eyes fill with tears and I look away again. Back to Beyond. Back to reality.

          "(Y/N), are you alright?" "I'm fine, Beyond. I just... I think my schizophrenia is acting up again. Or I'm dehydrated. I favor the latter." He rolls his eyes and chuckles. His face turns serious again. " What do you mean, schizophrenia? What do you see?" I turn my head back to Lawliet, still clinging to Beyond's hand like it's a lifeline. "L..." "A letter L?" "No, Birthday. The person. My Lawlipop." I reach out a hand to the hallucination hesitantly, my eyes filling with tears again.

          My fingers meet the space where his cheek would be and... touch cold skin. His hand reaches up to grab mine and I gasp. "Law--" "No, I don't think I'm ready for the Task Force to know my name. Not yet." His monotone voice, the blue eyes...

          I slap him. Hard. He looks at me, shocked. Beyond laughs. "You totally deserved that!" Lawliet chuckles. "Yes, I suppose I did." I giggle a bit at my sudden realization. They turn to me at the exact same time, in sync, and ask, "What is it?" It just makes me laugh harder at how alike they are.

=== L's POV ===

           (G)'s laughing. Actually laughing. I can't believe it. With both of us here, I can already tell how much brighter (G) eyes look, how much clearer (G) face is. I turn to Beyond and immediately a cloud of sadness comes over his face. I'm sure mine looks the same. We're thinking the same thing.

I am so sorry that it took me so long to get this out. And that it's so short and crappy. BUT! I had a great idea for Silver and Gold, so I had to get something for this done before I could go work on that. Thanks for over two hundred views (😱) and... Yeah. Stay awesome!!!
